1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mybitcoin down or just me? on: July 31, 2011, 07:48:02 PM
I contacted the web host and sent mybitcoin several emails, and tried to reach his phone (it has been disconnected). I say we file a police report.
2  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Price Check: Sapphire Radeon HD5970 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E OEM on: March 09, 2011, 06:52:10 AM
$859 USD last I checked.

I pay for twice that.

I said average. Does everyone but me have 5970s now?
5  Economy / Marketplace / Re: RARE Minecraft Alpha Codes available on: March 08, 2011, 03:51:42 AM
Is there any difference between alpha and beta codes other than being cheaper and no longer available?

There's no difference as far as I can tell. Both codes get you the same thing, you just have to pay more now.

7  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Low-Volume Bitcoin Exchange on: March 06, 2011, 11:37:23 PM
I've run into a bunch of trouble maintaining it, and I honestly don't have time. I may bring it back eventually, but for now use CoinPal.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading very small amount of money on: March 06, 2011, 06:15:44 PM
I run LVBX. It's going to be down indefinitely, so use CoinPal/CoinCard. Sorry about that.
9  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: HELP! Need to automate live bitcoin exchange rate. on: March 04, 2011, 12:22:36 AM
No idea about perl, but in PHP:
Code:
$goxPrice = json_decode(file_get_contents("http://mtgox.com/code/data/ticker.php"))->{'ticker'}->{'sell'};
You can use "buy", "sell", or "last" based on your needs.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How do I speed up confirmation? on: March 03, 2011, 06:01:11 PM
Set the optional transaction fee to something nonzero.

I have two spares but shipping to Russia sounds like a pain.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does bitcoin have an electrical footprint ? on: March 01, 2011, 05:24:52 AM
I have a smart meter. It's free, it provides daily measurements of my energy usage, and it has no way of distinguishing between appliances.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Cost of electricity to mine or mint bit coins on: March 01, 2011, 01:47:33 AM
You could get one of these and five of these for under $1200 USD and generate enough power to fuel your average miner.

18  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Estimate of all cards' Hash/s :) also shows best hash/$ on: February 26, 2011, 03:32:35 PM
Anyone have the 6950 and 6970 MHash data?

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison

A little less than twice as fast as a 6850 and 6870.
