1  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Mistertango - Bitcoin friendly European Bank Account + free MasterCard on: October 18, 2018, 10:23:52 PM
Dear client,

we would like to inform you that starting from 17th of December 2018 a new fee on account balance (Balance fee) will be applied.

Fee equals to 1% annual interest rate and applied on client’s any balance amount. The fee will be automatically calculated and accumulated on daily basis, and charged on the last day of current month.

For more detailed information about Balance fee kindly please refer to D.U.K.

This fee will come into the force from 17th of December, 2018.

1% annual interest rate is applied on any balance within the clients account. The fee is applied for clients with Personal+ and Business+ pricing plan. The fee is automatically calculated and accumulated on daily basis, charged on the last day of current month.

Example: if a client keeps 50.000 Eur on his account, the calculation looks following:
50.000 Eur * 1% / 365 = 1,37 Eur (per day)
where:
50.000 Eur - balance amount on a particular day
1% - annual interest rate
365 -  days per year since the annual interest rate is applied
1,37 Eur - accumulated fee amount on a particular day

Each day accumulated amount is charged on the last day of the current month.

Didn't fix 100% cpu usage for me with 2x5870 on x64 win7
3  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Newer variant of Catalyst (8.892)11.9 out(might fix 100 % CPU bug). on: September 23, 2011, 03:29:49 PM
I agree, DeathAndTaxes. I have 2x5870 with 100% cpu usage. And I have single 6970 cards on a few PC's, on which 11.9rc fixed 100% usage.

Latest DiabloMiner sends X-Mining-Extensions header as "longpoll rollntime switchto". This is not recognized by eligius and rollntime is disabled for this miner.
5  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~10ghs] BitMinersUnion.org *LP*JSON*FULL8* AUTO POOL HOP PROTECTION on: August 23, 2011, 06:55:27 PM
This thread is hilarious. Started reading it a few minutes ago while the pools was still open and got to the end of thread when it was announced to be discontinued.

I don't want to sound rude. But why in the world should you care about hoppers when you have so much problems yet to solve. Screwing loyal miners by this self-invented anti-hopper measures instead of making fast and reliable pool. I didn't even hop your pool because 1) it was too slow 2) was unable to save my account password with lastpass, so I couldn't remember my PIN.

In my opinion new pools should be eligus-style. No registration, no wasting user's time for passwords and pins. Just fast to start and simple. No antihopper measures until pool can afford to no longer care about few hundred additional ghash boost at every round.

c00w,

Please check netstat/tcpdump for persistent connections. Connections are not being reused at all. It's not the problem of if there are lots/few miners. OldConnectionSystem helps, but actually reusing connections would be great. Twisted-11.0.0.
7  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 13, 2011, 04:07:11 PM
We need to be able to mark the pool as faker and then bh to vote as fake on p2plp. Because in disabled state it just won't vote at all.
8  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 10, 2011, 07:03:17 AM
Latest bitHopper, and the one without burps patch, stops functioning normally after a while on my box.
First it starts with these timeouts http://pastebin.com/WZn6jpRh
Then i see this errors: http://pastebin.com/rbgSBRMs
After a while it is full of these errrors: http://pastebin.com/WYp1N3KV
And I see a lot of SYN_SENT connections: http://pastebin.com/EQmWs2EV
Screenshot of web interface in the state of "User timeout caused connection failure": http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/4/80919683.png/
Screenshot after restart: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/143/ss2pj.png/

After investigation I come to conclusion that arsbitcoins block/rate limit tcp connections and bitHopper tries to open new connections to the host until it runs out of free sockets. Disabling arsbitcoins helps, but I think there should be a better way for bitHopper to handle TCP timeouts/SYN-packets dropped by pools. I am not sure if http/1.1 keep-alive is implemented. But it could help to reduce stressing pools with huge load of new tcp connections.

Unfortunately it doesn't do any magic for me at 11.6 catalyst. Memory clocks can be set only 125 MHz lower than engine, as in aticonfig.

Updated from 2011-07-11 to 2011-07-17 kernel. Hash rate increased from 325 to 327 on 6950, and from 280 to 281 on 6870 all at stock clocks. Not a big increase but it's always nice to have a few mhashes for free. Keep up good work!
11  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: New Catalyst 11.6 Drivers available on: June 18, 2011, 04:48:57 PM
Not sure if you guys bothered to notice, but have you looked at the load that mining puts on the gpu?? It doesn't surprise me if it crashes when you're mining and trying to play a graphics intensive game at the same time.

It's not about load. The problem is drivers and 6xxx cards. I have two 6970 on two PCs that make PC freeze when miner is running and any video is started. And I have 3 5870 cards on another two PCs which run perfectly fine even with hardware acceleration enabled. I'm absolutely sure it is related to compatibility between 6xxx cards and drivers. Whatever load there is, it should not cause computer to hang.
12  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: [MINER] Phoenix - New efficient, fast, modular miner **BFI_INT support!** on: May 20, 2011, 10:04:25 AM
My main system runs Windows 7, because I play a lot of games. The only system I have running Linux at the moment is my mining box, but that has no monitor/keyboard and the only means of managing it is SSH.

You can try http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads to run linux in your Windows 7 Smiley Not sure how tc will work on virtual adapter though, but I think it should.
13  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: [MINER] Phoenix - New efficient, fast, modular miner **BFI_INT support!** on: May 20, 2011, 08:58:21 AM
It also explains my inability to reproduce the problem because I am running on a very stable wired connection.
However, as explained above I can't reproduce the problem myself so I need users to test this fix.

jedi95, just in case you're on linux. You may want to simulate bad connection for test purposes http://stackoverflow.com/questions/614795/simulate-delayed-and-dropped-packets-on-linux

15  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: How can I earn more than 0.01-0.02 per hour? on: May 19, 2011, 10:37:17 AM
Litt, you sound like trolling. While you say that nobody have a clue about what btc price might be tomorrow or even a 30 minutes from now, you still suggest that buying btc may be more profitable. In this case buying bitcoins is an all-in stake. Buying yourself a piece of hardware that you can play games on in case things with bitcoin won't go very well seem to be more reasonable.

Anyhow, this topic is about person who asks "how do I get more BTC"? Some people suggested buying bitcoins as investment, I suggested buying a video card with my rough calculation that it should be profitable. And what is your reply? Don't listen to them, they are all idiots. I am market guru. Okay, we got it. You're the market guru. So, how does he make more BTC?
16  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: How can I earn more than 0.01-0.02 per hour? on: May 19, 2011, 09:17:33 AM
It's not kind of investment advice. I am not suggesting to buy a data center. I suggest buying just a video card rather than buying bitcoins. Even if something goes wrong with bitcoin, you'll still got a decent videocard. And it increases strength the network, rather than just pump the market rate.
17  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: How can I earn more than 0.01-0.02 per hour? on: May 19, 2011, 08:11:02 AM
Allright, even if the exchange rate won't go up it's still "$73 - electricity" profit Smiley The supply is generated by miners, so it's tightly related to difficulty. Demand is not related to difficulty though. But bitcoin is designed to be limited to 21 million coins. So unless something bad happens it's really attractive for risky investments.
18  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: How can I earn more than 0.01-0.02 per hour? on: May 19, 2011, 07:50:12 AM
Buy yourself a radeon hd 5870 card for about $200. With 350mhash/s you'll get 1.3 BTC/24 hours. That's 39 BTC/month. It's about $273 with current rate of 7 USD/BTC. Not counting electricity bills. Most likely the BTC exchange rate will go up after difficulty increase, so you'll get even more than $73 profit in return.
19  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Replacing 1st GPU on an ubuntu mining rig breaks the boot sequence? on: May 19, 2011, 07:11:20 AM
First of all if your Ubuntu doesn't boot hold shift while booting, you'll see a kernel selection menu. Select rescure mode and then select safe Xorg. After that run aticonfig as foxmulder suggested. No need to delete xorg.conf though, it should be replaced by aticonfig.

Would it be possible to add a log option and flush the output to log on every line? Redirecting output to a file in windows is buffered and it's very tricky to flush the output. It would be great to see the latest log entries without waiting for output buffer to fill up.
