If i look up BNB on Binance.com they say that Binance is created for discounted trading fees and pretty much a digital currency?

If Binance goes bankrupt, what then? If i don't use Binance for trading, it's seems useless.

Can someone explain the hype about the coin?

To all other that has posted, thank you!

I have some altcoins from early 2017 and some BTC and ETH too.
Does this means that you missed the all time high? if you did, well I feel sorry if you do but if not and you just want to diversify again, good choice of looking into those coins but not all of them should be preferred.

When i bought in early 2017, Statis, Waves, Ark and ADA was popular, how are these coins today?
Cardano is still making it's own noise while the others, I don't think that they are still popular these days. Are you that it's statis? I can't see a coin that has that kind of name. I see, status and statis euro though this is a stable coin.

What are your thoughts on Basic Attention token(BAT)? I have used the brave browser for a while now and it seems good. Cardano looks interesting too.
They are active though and there's a development, I don't have them but if that's also a coin that you prefer then I think it's okay.

I bought before the all time high, unfortunately i did not sell much during the end of 2017.  Now i want to invest some more when the market is down.

Oops, should be Stratis not Statis.

My BTC and ETH portfolio is quite big so i am not investing in those two coins right now. I am looking for some more diversification. I will look into the Blocknet, that looks interesting.

I have some altcoins from early 2017 and some BTC and ETH too. I am thinking about investing some more but don't really know what i should be looking into.

Below is my list of coins.

BTC, ETH, NEO, ADA, LSK, LTC, Stratis, Waves, ARK, SHIFT, Pivx, VTC, GRS, Powr, Tenx

When i bought in early 2017, Statis, Waves, Ark and ADA was popular, how are these coins today?

I am not interested in low market/very new coins.

Thanks!
Waves, stratis and ARK are not so popular right now and so many new coins have already taken the top 100 of CMC. You can try to take a look at grin coin which is really worth to invest and a crypto mobile payment system like crypterium.
Tenx is really bad coin right now because it has already kicked out from top 100 CMC and I have not gotten my card and I have been waiting for more than a year.
I thought that you should have erased some old coins from your list.

Hello. i know i have a few coins that aren't so good, the sum is also so small that it doesn't matter. I will take a look at grin coin, thank you.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My seed only working with one app/program on: July 15, 2019, 10:56:31 AM
I moved my funds to another wallet. Really bad that i only can use my seed with one wallet.

I wonder how many other coins have this problem.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My seed only working with one app/program on: July 15, 2019, 06:58:56 AM
Groestlcoin has its own blockchain and they have a specific wallet. Can you tell us what other wallet/s you tried accessing your coin? Next time you try to transfer, make sure that the other wallet supports your coin.

Yes i know Groestlcoin has it's own blockchain and i know i need to use Groestlcoin wallets which i did, but shouldn't every Groestlcoin wallet work with the same seed?

I used Electrum-GRS both on the computer and Android, i think i used 2 other wallets on my android phone(don't remember the names). Then i used Groestlpay(this is the only one that worked).
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / My seed only working with one app/program on: July 15, 2019, 06:27:42 AM
Hello,

Last year i bought some Groestlcoin and moved them to a wallet and backed it up with a 12 word mmonic seed. Earlier today i was going to move them. So i tried access my funds with the 12 word seed, i tried multiple wallets without any luck. Finally i tried Groestlpay on my android phone and got the seed to work.

I have one question after todays try of getting to my funds.

Shouldn't my seed work no matter what Groestlcoin app/site/program i use? If not what if the wallet i used stop working or the company go out of business?

Please move the thread if there is a better forum section for it.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Scaling on: April 26, 2018, 10:23:19 PM
Hello,

So we saw a high of about 20k per Bitcoin in december. We also saw 2 big problems. High amount of unconfirmed transactions and exchanges that couldn't handle the trafic. Then the bulltrend begun. In my opinion we never could handle 20k per bitcoin.

Today we have lightning and some support of segwit.

My questions is the following:

1.Can we see a price of 20k per bitcoin today? Without high amount of unconfirmed transactions and exchanges that can't handle the trafic.
2. Lightning, can everone use it, or is it too early yet?
3. How much of the network uses segwit? charts?
4. How many transactions/second can we see with todays segwit use? And full segwit use?

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum and tokens on: January 10, 2018, 07:31:15 PM
Thank you for all your answers. As usual this give me even more questions.

Have a few more.

1. If now every ERC20 token uses the same blockchain as Ethereum, this means that Ethereum can process extreme amounts of transactions? There are well over 100 ERC20 tokens, while Bitcoin can't even handle itself. Is this correct?

2. All ERC20 tokens are airdopped/not minable? I guess ERC20 tokens have there limit because of Ethereum, and are very dependable what Ethereum are doing?

3. How can i send an ERC20 token on the Eth network when they uses the same adress, how can the blockchain know if i send Eth or modum?

4. Eth and btc uses different blockchains, btc has their own blockchain and Bitcoin Cash is a sidechain of bitcoin blockchain? while ERC20 tokens uses Eths blockchain. Stratis, waves, Cardano and so on have also their own blockchain? Which means they all have seperate wallets? If this is correct it would means that every coin that doesn't uses Eth or Btc blockchain have their own wallet?

5. Have you any examples of Dapps except Cryptokitties?

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ethereum and tokens on: January 09, 2018, 02:25:42 PM
I have a few questions about Ethereum and tokens.

1. Do i need to save the private key and json file if i use MEW wallet with Ledger nano s?

2. Tokens that run on Ethereum blockchain , how does that work?

2a. If i send for example Modum, does Modum use the same blockchain as Ethereum or some kind of sidechain?

3. What is really ERC20 tokens?

4. Is gas limit the same as transcation fee is for Bitcoin?

Hello,

I'm a bit confused about the whole Bitcoin hard forks and up coming forks.

As i understand it Bitcoin got Segwit but few supports it, why? This was big news and what i thought was going to make Bitcoin better/faster. Sadly Bitcoin is the same as before all the forks. Lightning network and other updates can be implanted to Bitcoin but that is not available right now, so why not start with using Segwit?

I thought we were going to have 3 hard forks. Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold and Segwit 2x. I recently heard of Bitcoin Diamond, Bitcoin God. Anyone can create a coin but can anyone also give Bitcoin holder "free money"?

The reason that the segwit2X fork got called off was simply because there was no dev team that could really make segwit2X work, or wanted to put time in it, and ontop of that a lack of general consensus/ community behind it. ( Something that bitcoin cash does kind of have)

This explains it quite nicely https://bravenewcoin.com/news/segwit2x-hard-fork-abandoned-what-happened-and-why/

Yes i know why Segwit2X was called off.

Sorry, English in not my main language, i was more interested in the follwing:

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / My thoughts right now on: December 08, 2017, 10:01:35 PM
I have been on and off in the crypto market since late 2011, i remember when the price of Bitcoin was 2-6$, i remember the crash when Bitcoin hit 30$, when mining Btc was a possibility. I'm not a big holder of any crypto and i'm not smart or educated in this sort of market, never been in stocks and so on.

I have read alot and seen alot in crypto . i have doubted Bitcoin a few times. Gox Crash, 51% attack and scaling is the ones i remember.

As i remember we needed scaling in 2013 when gox was active. Now about 4 years later we got scaling/hard fork BUT Bitcoin is still as "bad" now as 2013. Over 200k unconfirmed transactions. This is one key point of Bitcoin: Send Btc fast and with a very small amount of fee.

This is so redicilus, this increase is crazy, if Btc was at 3-5k today that would be crazy, we hit around 18k yesterday , this without a major correction, that cant be healthy. Bitcoin users can't send anything without crazy fees and exhanges can't handle the traffic.

My understanding of Bitcoin Futures is that they are going to short Bitcoin, even if they don't and the interest goes up, we can't handle the traffic anyway.

This needs to be fixed right away but it's seems like lightning network and so on is too far away. I think investors are going to other cryptos because there they can send funds fast/faster.

I am a big believer in Blockchain and crypto but I am not so sure in Bitcoin anymore.

I'm i wrong?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My Portfolio on: December 06, 2017, 10:38:49 PM
I know i haven't invested in the bigger coins like monero, dash, neo and so on. They can for sure rise alot, just look at Bitcoin. I want to go for those coins that have big communitys and have support, but still have alot of room to grow.
The goal is as i said longterm, i don't wanna keep up with every coin every day.

i should go in some small cap coin but don't really know which one. FTC and GRS may be replaced.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My Portfolio on: December 06, 2017, 06:34:06 PM
Thanks for the replies!

I have Bitcoin but this is my alt portfolio. I'm very long in Bitcoin and have no plans on selling.

My plan was to increase LTC and ETC, but the price increased very much on both so i wait a bit.

IOTA is interesting but i'm not going in now with this extreme increase.

ARK, Stratis and Waves have i just bought, might buy more when i can.

Other than that i will check the coins you guys suggested.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / My Portfolio on: December 06, 2017, 04:27:18 PM
I just want to post my portfolio and see what you thinking about it.

I try to invest longterm for the most part.

LSK 15,35%
LTC 15.12%
Stratis 8.20%
Waves 7.70%
ARK 7.14%
SHIFT 6.85%
Pivx 6.35%
VTC 6.03%
GRS 5.00%
Powr 4.44%
Tenx 3.99%
MOD 3.69%
ETC 3.11%
FTC 2.20%
NAV 1.70%
Qash 1.67%

Thinking about adding ADA and maybe increase in MOD, Gambling on FTC and GRS.

Hello,

I'm interested in investing in both stratis and waves.

When should i go in?
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction fee on: November 21, 2017, 11:07:19 PM
I use Bitcoin Core latest version. Both Kraken and Bittrex uses 0,001BTC which means about 8-8,2$

I'm gonna send a few transactions, 60min is fine.

For the median transaction size of 226 bytes, this results in a fee of 67,800 satoshis

This is 0,00067800 BTC right?
