I've been thinking about the same thing and you're kinda right - altcoins for collateral are... less than ideal. But the thing is that there aren't many good alternatives: a) no collateral - legit borowers are drowned out by scammers b) accounts - doesn't really solve the problem with scams c) rl items - a little inconvenient in most cases so yeah... if anyone figures out a system that would prevent most scams (you'll never get them all) while still being simple and fast that person could make some nice money.

Think about it for a minute. If someone knows a good way to hack an atm for free cash (or anything similar) why would they sell it? Once the method is out it'll be fixed soon. Or you can keep it to yourself and enjoy the free cash. So yeah, what were you expecting?

i have some things you might be interested in: - damaged n95 (screen connector? not sure tbh) + 2x screens (1 cracked, one new and working) + 2 batteries (1 new, 1 old, both working fine) - arduino nano + breadboard + cables/resistors/leds (working) - linksys wrtgl54 router (working) - few microsd cards + microsd -> sd adapters (i think 64MB, 2GB, 32GB, 64GB, all working) - laptop sata dvd-rw drive (won't stay completely closed on it's own, works fine otherwise) - lenovo thinkpad edge530 with dead screen, working otherwise (intel i3 3110m, 2x4GB ddr3 ram, samsung evo 840 500gb ssd (doesn't have the read speed bug, still under warranty).. ram/ssd available separately) - a few old network cards - athlon xp + motherboard (not sure which model but can check if you're interested)
