1  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: February 07, 2014, 06:25:53 AM
thank you btc237ftw, been in this so long I'm actually getting emotional reading this message. An actual communication! Someone at the bitcoin foundation may have actually have called the CEO to tell him his company was in a crisis. He put down his sushi long enough to listen. This is the reason bitcoin price dropped today and not because of the Apple thing.

Mt Gox just can't be insolvent. They're making too much money in fees, and it is not like mining (real mining) where there are massive capex costs and debt from the outset. Sorry Mt Gox haaaaas the money, I really think the problem is with technical competence of the current staff.
3  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Broken BTC Withdrawals on Gox -- 2230 EST, 28 JAN: 1654 broken TX!! on: February 05, 2014, 04:38:57 AM
I really want to believe that Mt Gox is not scamming me. So much of my future depends on getting those bitcoins out. Was even considering going back to college.

But it all could have been a pipe dream.

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much in % of your savings are in BTC? on: December 29, 2013, 05:03:37 AM
50% (but i got in early). Nice to have a stake in things, news matters to me now
6  Economy / Economics / Re: What are the next events to watch that could potentially bring BTC below $500? on: December 26, 2013, 01:39:12 AM
Agree with Bono, too many cortices on bitcoin, which will produce new apps and services nobody thought of. Cool and interesting stuff.

Remember that guy who outsourced his job, and his bosses found out and sacked him. I'm thinking he was just ahead of his time. It would be something I'd consider (currently I work behind a computer all day) if it could be done on the fly and anonymously, only bitcoin could pull that off.
7  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt.Gox is sitting on my funds. on: December 05, 2013, 12:10:35 AM
What percentage does Mt Gox take for the transfer?
8  Economy / Services / Re: [Opening Soon] Bitcoin for Stuff on Amazon. on: December 04, 2013, 04:40:54 AM
The fee will need to be 7.5% with a minimum of $5. I've done it, the idea will work but being a middleman is stressful and exhausing, people are always telling you goods haven't arrived or have arrived damaged.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is rising in value for no good reason at all on: November 23, 2013, 07:00:37 AM
Bitcoin is just a value protocol. Right now in its raw form it is a bit like dos before windows. All the new bitcoin startups this year are for apps that will make bitcoin easier to use. (Some kind of buffering against price swings is in order). It will suck less, keep the faith.

The volatility in the markets, makes it difficult to plan ahead for investments. Have been collecting dividends on TYGRR.BOND.P but that scheme has got to collapse sooner or later. What I am most interested in is what mining operations will still be in operating the end of year block reward cut.

Hello, and yes I want out of here.

Currently I am invested in in TYGRR.BOND-P, PUREMINING, GIGAMINING, ZIP.A, TEEK.B & TYGRR.BOT.

Understand about MH/s means and the upcoming block reward cut. I would like the ability to post on forums and private message people. Very keen to make a donation but how would you know it was from me?

Kind regards,
Miles.
