Let me rephrase: Due to the nature of a transparent blockchain, there will always be associations with addresses, even if your concerned association is eliminated. People won't mix because they don't think they need to, or maybe they aren't aware of some illicit trade 80 transactions up-chain. Because of this, we will still see increasing use of blockchain analysis and increasing discrimination against transactors that leads to fungibility issues. The only way to eliminate this concern is through an entirely opaque block chain.
Busy day, no time to post, just as well since I 'killed the thread'  Anyway, you made a great point here. I guess the answer is that DASH is optionally fungible. You can mix balances if you want and nobody can prove there is any association between your mixed addresses and someone else's. I agree this means users could forget and end up with dodgy associations by accident or whatever. I also agree that XMR is more fungible....pretty much totally fungible! However, I don't think that what you originally said is true - i.e. that all DASH ends up tainted. There would be too much ambiguity in the blockchain introduced by widespread mixing. Blockchain analysis tools would frequently hit 'dead-ends'. Okay. Then in my opinion, yes, it's probably fit for purpose right now. But as demand for blockchain analysis services increases, major fungibility issues will start to pop up. Of course this won't be provable until it actually happens.
Fair comment. The coin is still in development...will be interesting to see how these arguments stack up over time. The astrophysics magnifier coenhances the posturality of the synposis reaching maturity stage before hand calling can be initiated...The impeccable grasp on the pre-hand calling vestification is also viable. i see you post my thread here. i locked because it's a waste of my time to talk and discussing about shit scam coin with toxic members like longshorts and child_molester_harold which go attacking other coins to make it sound their coin is good. they're attacking xst, xc and now monero and darkcoin(dass?), but in reality shadowcoin wallet and block chain is a messes! shadowcoin bagholders are full of xc bagholders right now. lol

I guess I should respond just in case people take benthach seriously. Please ignore him. Shut up, no one cares about shadowcash with its 7 day instamine and crap features copy pasted from other coins. As most people there also know, there are individuals in shadowcash that already own more than 60% of the entire coin supply. That entire coin is just waiting to get dumped by those guys. What are the advantages of Litecoin over bitcoin (or any other altcurrency)?
It's faster, but too fast?
more secure?
is acceptance and an economy emerging, like for btc?

Its way faster than bitcoin. It is not popular yet. Litecoin founder is not interested in improvements except implementing side chain. There are many new alt-coins with rich features. False. The confirmations are faster but that's it. The network security is also much weaker. Raw hash doesn't add security the spread of it does, and in this both btc and ltc are less secure then they previously have been. Personally anyone who considers any crypto as having bullet proof security is living a fairy land. Ok spread, 2 pools control over 50% of Litecoin's entire hashrate...what were you saying?  |

Darkcoin may be shitty, Stealthcoin may be shitty. But ShadowCash...is the Shittiest Piece of Shit that was ever shitted out before. It's so shitty that ShadowCash copied Darkcoin's new name Dash, copy pasted Stealthcoin's xstealth feature, tried to copy Darkcoin's masternode feature, tried to copy Monero's Ring Signatures, and more. And, what's even funnier, is that the features that ShadowDash copy pasted, are crap versions of the actual features on those other coins. ShadowCash is just the dumpster crypto, that has the shitty, garbage remnants of all other decent cryptos piled into one stinky glob of shit. Thank god the "bit" part was removed from Monero near the launch. I think Monero has the best name out of all the currencies both crypto and government based, and that extra "bit" part was just eww.

False. The confirmations are faster but that's it. The network security is also much weaker.
Yes. It's much weaker than BTC but still has a strong mining community behind it.It's still secured by the second most hashing power relative to algorithm demands. Only concern is that two giant pools make up greater than 50% of the network. BTC's distribution seems to be much more diversified. That aint true either. Litecoins hashrate is super low compared to other coins like Devcoin, Ixcoin, Namecoin, and moree. Litecoin is the original shitcoin. The shitstain of cryptoland. |
