6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why would DPR hire a Hitman through a bank transfer? on: April 12, 2015, 08:07:54 PM
You're overestimating ross. He used his personal email to advertise silk road. I'm sure he was also dumb enough to pay for the hit through a bank transfer.

Let's get real, the guy was a fricking idiot.

If he was such an idiot, then he would have never created such a sophisticated market place and saved it from the FBI and hackers for more than a year. The FBI tracked him after years of monitoring. They spent millions of USD trying to track him. But for a long time he evaded those who tried to outsmart him. He was caught after a bug in the TOR browser exposed his IP. He was probably smarter than anyone in this forum.

Ross made many mistakes all of which ultimately contributed to his demise. The biggest error he made that tied him directly to Silk Road was using his own personal details to set up Silk Road in the first place. From what I gather it was good old fashioned detective work that got him caught but once he was there was plenty of evidence to seal the deal. Had he not used his personal email address and not got caught red handed operating SR with logs of his activities on the laptop amongst other things it might have been a much different story. I don't doubt that he is a very intelligent person but he did some ridiculously stupid things. If he was such a genius though he wouldn't be currently sitting in a jail cell right now.
When he was making logs of his day to day activities in journal entry type things did he not think how incriminating it would all be if he was ever caught?

The reason I posted this is basically because it's highly suspicious that he would be stupid enough to use a bank transfer and most likely faked. Does anyone know if Ross made an official statement about the murder for hire?

Will Snowden really come back to US? Isn't he afraid?
I doubt he will ever come back which is pretty sad. He was labeled a traitor by the government so coming back would not be in his best interest.

Interesting video, skip to 4:55 for the Snowden part.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoins do governments and central banks own? on: April 06, 2015, 04:36:26 PM
The ones they have publicly admitted to having (Dark market coins) have been sold off I believe. That isn't to say they might have stashes of coins out of public view.

Thanks a lot OP, helped me out a ton.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello Is there any genuine Bitcoin Multiplier ? on: April 06, 2015, 04:14:30 PM
There is no way to multiply an amount of Bitcoin indefinitely. You could try out a dice site (not 100% win chance) or invest in a dice site (whale could come and take the bankroll) and hope the sites makes money. I'd be careful.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi on: April 05, 2015, 01:56:12 PM
I will come back, but you need to send 1000 BTC to my address to pay for therapy because Satoshi is one of my multiple personalities and we am rarely unable to unlock our Satoshi knowledge for more than a few seconds every week or so.
Hah if that's so I wonder what his alternate personality is like?
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi on: April 04, 2015, 10:33:53 PM
If I was Satoshi I would never want my identity revealed... He must hold so many Bitcoins that people would threaten him/his family for some of them.

Family? What if he didn't have any family at all?
If he doesn't have any family (unlikely) then there's still a threat to himself. People will do a lot for money.

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoins get confiscated? on: April 04, 2015, 02:01:08 AM
It all comes down to whether you think you can handle threats like a longer sentence (or maybe even torture). If you have nothing to lose (family etc.), then saying fuck off to the feds will work fine for you. However, if you think you would agree to give up your wallet to get a shorter sentence then a strong password really doesn't help.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the Headlines: Silk Road Strikes Comedic Gold on: April 04, 2015, 01:49:45 AM
Haha, ideas for movie names anyone?

1. Silk Road
2. FBVI - Federal Bureau of Virtual Investigation
3. "Bitcoin"
4. "Anonymous"

Hah, I was just thinking that they should make this whole ordeal into a movie, it would be pretty awesome.
