1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty to fork Darkcoin/DASH and create a much better masternode cryptocoin on: March 22, 2015, 07:48:32 PM
I think spreadcoin has implemented all of darks features in a much honest way

Ok, but what kind of a name is spreadcoin? What are these guys thinking with such ugly names. Make a new coin that's forked from Dark without it's instamine, and with a good name, and viola.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Bounty to fork Darkcoin/DASH and create a much better masternode cryptocoin on: March 22, 2015, 07:17:28 PM
We all know Darkcoin/Dash isn't going anywhere. It's scam instamine where 2million coins were emitted in 1 day on a linux only release ruined it from the very start. So, I propose to the community to fork Darkcoin/Dash and create a new cryptocurrency without the instamine and without the dictator-like leadership of it's developer. The coin would be a store of value like Bitcoin, because of the masternodes and the supply could be more limited. This new coin would have no changes done to it's basic outline, unlike Darkcoin, and that would preserve it's integrity.

Any developers up for it, pm me.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Fastest transactions for an altcoin on: March 22, 2015, 04:12:41 PM
So a few altcoins here have fast or instant confirmation times, I'll name them.

1) Ripple - 5 seconds per block

2) Bitshares - 10 seconds per block

3) Worldcoin - 40 seconds per block

4) Digitalcoin - 30 seconds per block

5) Supercoin - 3 confirmations every 30 seconds

6) Quarck - 30 seconds per block

(I'm excluding Darkcoin/Dash from here because it's a instamined shit/scamcoin)

So, which out of those coin do you think is the best to use security wise, dont the fast confirmations bring in orphans and the like?
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sick of the confirmation time... on: March 22, 2015, 03:59:54 PM
BTC conformation time is horrible. Especially when you are transferring funds to an exchange or something and you have to wait for 6 confirmations before you can spend your coins. Takes an HOUR at least. Darkcoin and the new instant X is awesome. Takes about 30 SECONDS for 6 confirms. so cool.

*Sigh*

There is no magic "6 confirms" that relates to all altcoins.  The strength of the confirm relies largely on the time of confirmation. That is why exchanges have different requirements for number of confirmations with different coins.  DarkCoin's "Instant X" is not a new concept.  The concept of masternodes is not new, and also cannot be compared with Bitcoin's bedrock POW blockchain.  It's closer to POS as each of those masternodes must "buy in".  Apples to Oranges.

We shall see whether it proves itself when the stakes are higher.

Darkcoin, eh, Dash has been instamined and is 100% a scam.

If you're looking for quick confirmation times, Bitshares confirms in less than 10 seconds(All those full PoS coins do).
