1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: "allseingbiteye" - a virus, or just weird? on: February 14, 2012, 09:12:47 AM
Sorry for bumping, I found some new information...
A new link got added about a Bitcoin generator on some Tor forum.

"Bitcoin generator.exe" 51.735    bytes.
SHA256: 1f39c2b55839ffb833f653c44a6274230f6e61710c03153356911cd8cdd42f7b

I found this thread due the fact he still uses c:\windows\mcfartietrby.exe
I also found this email in the binary data: seren1ty0wns@gmail.com

Freenode.net is an IRC server. #BitP.it is the channel we chat on. It's some kind of old chatbox!
You could always use the webchat Wink

Seems to be working again!   Cool
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Jacker "..downloads any Bitcoin wallet.dat files from the target system" on: August 08, 2011, 04:23:31 PM
Every scripting/coding language that could copy files can be used for an wallet.dat stealer.
I don't think it's much of a problem, because it's the user his fault if he failed securing his system.
5  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [ARTICLE] Dying Bitcoin Miner Requests Cremation By Mining Rig on: August 08, 2011, 01:39:00 PM
What about he sells the stuff and the extra money goes to his family?
Sucks for that rig.   Grin

7  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: On going 220-240V in 120v countries ... on: August 06, 2011, 10:47:10 PM
he was an idiot. 240 volts is 240 volts.

Well, there still is 50Hz and 60Hz...  Embarrassed
8  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: This is just getting nuts on: August 06, 2011, 10:39:33 PM
I never did any investments (except electricity) so this is extremely profitable.  Cool
9  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: is there any free windows os?? on: August 06, 2011, 06:38:26 PM
Protip: ubuntu! "Ubuntu is a fast, secure and easy-to-use operating system used by millions of people around the world." Cheesy

And you could aways use LinuxCoin (A lightweight Debian based OS with everything ready to go.) --> http://bitcointalk.org/?topic=7374.0
10  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: STRIKE! STRIKE! STRIKE! on: August 06, 2011, 06:33:05 PM
If people want to buy low and sell high, it's their call, I don't think it hurts Bitcoin at all.
11  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GUI mining - Phoenix 1.5 and new, faster poclbm on: August 06, 2011, 05:20:18 PM
Somehow it still doesn't feel that stable, or having full control, something I do have when I use command line.  Undecided

Would it be possible to show what percentage we are on the current round, or, predict when we can get our Bitcoins?
13  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Will you mine at a loss? on: August 06, 2011, 03:47:08 PM
I'm not mining for the profit, I'm doing it for the technical tweaking.
14  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Resting Your Video Card on: August 06, 2011, 03:46:18 PM

15  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Catalyst 11.6 vs 11.6b vs 11.7 comparison on: August 06, 2011, 03:44:25 PM
I like my software up-to-date so I'm running Version 2011.0524.2259.39378 on my Windows XP.
No under/overclocking done on my ASUS Reaeon HD 4890 and it never crashes, maybe because I run m0mchil's miner at --frames 90?

Other info: 850 MHz (default clock)
2590 RPM (automatic control)
13v, doing ~71'C

Gives me around 91.918 MH/s [Rej: 37/1095 (3%)]

I could easly push it to 103 MH/s, but this makes it just too tricky.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: Forum moved to bitcointalk.org on: August 05, 2011, 05:55:50 PM
This could confuse people, like, "Is this the official bitcoin forum?".

Why this switch?
17  Other / Off-topic / Re: "Open-source is bad!" on: August 05, 2011, 05:49:18 PM
Well, they never seen VLC I guess...
18  Other / Off-topic / Re: Now it's official: If you use IE... you're dumb on: August 05, 2011, 05:47:35 PM
Great hoax (http://www.aptiquant.com/), but it's one for the good!  Smiley
19  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pros put their bitcoin rigs underground in real mines on: August 05, 2011, 05:46:27 PM
With some luck you could stuff some WWII bunkers here!
20  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Dailybitcoins.org] Bitcoin faucet, sponsored by ads on: August 05, 2011, 05:22:12 PM
