Hello, We do our largest bags in the 128g for superior freshness. With larger orders we combine these to make the weight (256, 512, 1024 etc)  |

Bitcoin payments have been implemented into our new online stall http://www.ocdjerky.com/ and are working a treat  Theres also %20 on single packs for a week or two We have been putting so much hard work in to the business and it feels like we haven't slept the last 6 months. The community has been my favourite to work alongside. Not only have we developed the business but we have made some great friends and business partners in Australia and across the world. Our next step is to try and build our online Bitcoin sales. Right now we have great fiat traffic but it is lacking in the BTC department. I am now searching for ways to build this side of the e-commerce. We are open to suggestions and and will optimise our store to accommodate for the Bitcoin users around the world. What are your thoughts on how to improve the BTC orders? Where should we be advertising or listing our products? Keep in mind we cant spend too much because our budget is limited! A goal for 2016 is to become a model Bitcoin business. We want to show others how they can use Bitcoin to increase their business and also become more profitable. By driving adoption we all win! By mid next year we will have enough data to produce a detailed report on how effective BTC was for our business. By showing the sales, interest on swap earnings and mining contract data we will prove without doubt the effectiveness of cryptocurrency for profitability. Using some basic charts in comparison to fiat, BTC will blow it out of the water! Hopefully we can generate some buzz out of this and encourage others to follow in our footsteps What do you think? Hello friends, We have been busy! I had taken a step back from the website development to focus energy on the factory. We are set up for production now and I can return time to the website and community. Many sleepless nights and unexpected challenges! We haven't noticed the forum posts thinking that I had set email notifications for reply's. That is now confirmed so no more delays. Im re-building the site in Shopify for the ultimate Ecommerce experience. Implementing bitcoin payments has been a breeze with Bitpay. The Shopify tools and apps are very handy. A lot of the suggestions you guys have put forward are now coming to action. Thank you At this rate the new site will be live by Tuesday coinciding with our marketing push. It will accept Bitcoin payments smoothly but the forum will always be trading. Theres something magical about forum trades and we sure will look after you guys. Our "Lime Cracked Pepper" has been sold out and will be taken offline for an Australian summer launch. We know there are some big fans of this flavour but rest assumed the return will be epic! (Secret project) We have made a great friend in the US over at PEXPEPPERS https://www.pexpeppers.com/ and have developed some small batch jerky using his amazing HOT sauces- SUCH WOW (delicious, delicious, delicious)! As we work together there will be more news to come but if you haven't tried his HOT sauce we recommend you do. Keep an eye out theres going to be much happening in the following weeks. Sharing quality food with good people has always been a passion and it makes us happy knowing that you enjoy OCD with a smile. The shipping advice is well received and you can expect cheaper shipping in the coming months. Right now our focus is on commercial production as we are expanding the jerky factory. The beef is still handcrafted goodness but our kitchen gets much bigger!

BTW, in reply to one of the above about shipping to the US, if you guys do make it and garner enough interest, one obvious solution would be to find a US-based distributor. Most of your goods would probably fit into either a small or medium sized flat-rate USPS shipping box or padded envelope, which are all under $13 anywhere in the US. Shipping a large amount once overseas and then doing the sending once local will probably be much more cost-efficient in the long run. I'm in the NorthEast US and have some garage space available for rent if it ever comes to it.... Yea, i'm in the northwest and would also be willing to assist with Western USA/Western Canada Shipments. I've had experience with distribution and re-shipping for over 8 years. Thats a great idea. Once we establish the market it certainly will be an efficient method for distribution. I'll be interested to crunch some numbers on this. We would like to introduce ourselves to the community as OCD JERKY, “Premium quality handcrafted beef”. We admire the bitcoin community and would love to be apart of something special. After getting our business close to commercial production, we though it would be a good idea to check in and establish a friendly relationship with the community.
We started this thread to talk about the role bitcoin will play in our business, how a business can better itself with bitcoin and to get some community feedback. We want to know your thoughts and suggestions on how we can improve our business with bitcoin. It is an amazing technology that will change the world forever. Personally, I am a bitcoin fan that has spent the past couple years obsessed with BTC and anything crypto related.
A bit about us:
We are a small startup located in Perth, Western Australia. Our company is devoted to making premium quality beef jerky. We do not add any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Only the finest herbs, spices and sauces are used to flavour prime Aussie beef. Marinated for 24hrs and charcoal filter air dried. The result is a delicious artisan beef snack. It is unlike other products and will become a market leader. The jerky is unique and with a small popular product, it is easy to ship worldwide. Bitcoin will play a central role in our payments allowing us to conduct frictionless cross border transactions. It is our preferred payment method that we can be certain there will be no reversals or associated fraud.
Positive adoption:
Our series 1 packaging (140k units) has the famous B on the back that will be seen by over 140,000 people! Our next batch will contain more information and even refer to an appropriate site, perhaps bitcoin.org. Curious snackers can learn about bitcoin and even find out how to get there hands on some. We have thrown a few ideas around and thought to drop loaded paper wallets in random packaging for lucky people. Its quite an incentive to learn about bitcoin when you have a few in your packet! Were open to ideas and can rapidly adapt our business module to accommodate. The bitcoin community has access to OCD and were listening. What can we do to help?
Integration:
As you know OCD JERKY is crazy about bitcoin and we want to accept btc inside our online store! Right now we don’t know how to do this. Our site is with Squarespace and their integration is some time off. We chose them because they have nice layouts that are simple to use. After building the site, we find we can’t integrate BTC into the cart. For now we decided to set up an OTC thread and manually conduct trades on bitcointalk. It may be inefficient but it is a great opportunity to make some friends and build our reputation.
We need your help! We have looked into the options but can’t find a solution. So far we see a number of approaches that can embed a buy button or form although these options don’t allow users to select multiple items to cart. Go coin, coinbase and bitpay have been investigated but these only allow the single unit buy button as I can see. Did I miss something? Remember that with Squarespace we can’t simply plug-in a shopping cart and add BTC as payment. Stripe BTC is not yet implemented there. They really have made it hard!
We also started building a site with wordpress but found it too difficult. We had to allocate the time back to the production schedule and make do with our current site. I do agree, if we had the skills WP would be optimal design/SEO.
What are your thoughts? Our budget is stretched and we can’t afford a full build -we do have plenty of jerky so tell us your ideas!
The company : Right now we are finalising our jerky super-lab for commercial production. We are building a large control room, wiring machinery, painting, renovating and installing the kitchens. Within 3 months OCD JERKY will be in commercial production. We are currently limited to small batch until the factory is established.

I would buy so much of this if shipping to the USA was cheaper  international shipping price is really high its even not worth buying it because of that
Good news gets better! We don't want shipping to deter any jerky lovers so were going to reduce shipping to $16USD and absorb the cost for a short period. Don't forget, were also offering a %10 discount on the jerky We found the average shipping price to be $21USD. Some countries are expensive and others fairly priced. Our idea was to throw in a 28g if the destination was under and bear the cost of an expensive country until we optimise our system. In future I think we will develop custom pricing for each continent and search for deals with our shipping friends. The two gentlemen above scored a free 28g 5 flavour pack each! Were going to cover the shipping and even throw in a few stickers. Were always going to look after bitcoiners. We love community feedback and appreciate your thoughts.
