2  Economy / Goods / Mandrik's Famous Baklava is back! (First sold for bitcoin in 2011) on: November 29, 2021, 11:07:47 PM
Baklava for bitcoin is back! To celebrate my 10th year in Bitcoin I'm doing a limited run of my famous baklava. It will be available for the remainder of the year, but after that it's gone.

I first sold baklava for bitcoin in 2011, selling a pan for 14 btc (2 of that was to cover shipping!). I stopped in 2013 when I began working in the industry. Here was my original post on bitcointalk:

Adam - When you've attracted the attention of old school bitcoin baklava money, you know you've made a pretty cool piece of art.

Congrats Mandrik - awesome to see you pop up here...even if it meant losing this to you.  I hope it is as awesome in person as it looks in the photos.

I grew up greek orthodox and I've always wanted a bitcoin themed, byzantine style art piece for my Bitcoin art wall. This piece speaks to me!   Cheesy

I appreciate the praise! I stopped baking in late 2013 when I took over User Ops for Blockchain.info. That job took over my life and I no longer had time to bake. I sold baklava out of my kitchen for over four years and decided to close up shop.

Earlier this year I left Blockchain.info. I have more free time now and have thought about bringing the baklava business back. I don't want to make any promises, but it's not off the table. If I start up again it would be a bitcoin-only thing, and I'd likely do something where I only ship specific days of the month so I don't have to work at it all the time.

Again, no promises, but I'll let you guys know if I get bored and decide to bake again. I do miss the smell in my house!

Woah, necrobump! I haven't sold baklava since the end of 2013. Thanks to everyone who ever bought some from me. Hope it was tasty. Smiley

Sorry, I was logged into the wrong account. Yes, I work for Blockchain.info and rejected this API key request. I wanted to post here to let people know that this is clearly a scam site.

This is my life on the line  Cry

16  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Microwallet.org shutting down? on: November 09, 2014, 02:33:41 PM
Any one having issues with Microwalley (down again), erm Microwallet such as api or not getting paid, please e-mail
support@blockchain.zendesk.com
The more people who write and complain the quicker it will be sorted.

Please don't open a ticket with Blockchain.info regarding Microwallet, because I'm not sure if they actually are experiencing an issue with our API. No other users have reported API-related problems, and they have not responded to emails we sent them. I'm not sure what their issue is, but I don't think it's related to Blockchain.info.

Thanks!
17  Economy / Goods / Re: [For Sale] Bitcoin Accepted Here : Neon & LED Signs - Now Shipping! on: June 10, 2014, 12:50:21 PM
They're able to face both ways (window front , and hobby). If you have a window you want to put it in, you most likely will need a steady hook and chain system from the ceiling (or if you have wall room, make sure its sturdy). This will allow you to see it from outside the glass window since theres no wall to nail it to.

If you want to hang it just normally on a wall (hobby room style), even though it weighs 15lbs, I recommend getting one of those 50lb nail sets with 3-4 nail holes just to hang it in normally from Lowes or HD. You can do a single or double row, whatever makes you more comfortable; either works fine.

Thanks!

Any advice for mounting these signs to a wall? I've had mine for a few months, but am just now setting it up. I really don't have any clue what I'm doing, and will likely call up my sister to help. Wink

Thanks!
19  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: June 04, 2014, 12:45:42 AM
myTREZOR is back up. However unconfirmed transactions stucked in backend has been dropped by restart. I'm sorry for hassle, I'll setup bitcoind failover soon...

Glad they were dropped. They were both meant for BitPay invoices that have since been cancelled. Wink

Thanks! It's working now.

Looks like the myTrezor web wallet is having issues sending funds. I did a couple transactions that show as sent in the wallet, but they aren't appearing on any block explorer.
