1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ZERO - fork of Zcash with harder mining params on: March 04, 2017, 11:54:14 AM
gentlemen, what happened with the speed  Shocked Shocked Shocked

If I had to guess I'd say that ocminer fixed the hashrates in the pool (they are now showing sensible values instead of the crazy high ones before) but he's still calculating the expected earnings based on the previous ones. In any case, I doubt it matters much, I stopped mining in all but one RX480 card and I don't have high hopes for this coin. The dev is nowhere to be seen, there is no windows wallet, the price in cryptopia keeps dropping... not good. Anyway, I hope I'm wrong!

I don't know about you guys, but I'm sticking to optiminer. I trust him/her and I don't believe someone unknown would provide 8x the mining hash as optiminer.

Thanks for the update EWBF_ ; did you get a chance to have a look at the ZERO project? It'd be great to have a GPU-miner from a respected dev like you, as all there is right now is CPU based. Thanks!

Yes. This is simply equihash with a different parameters. But at this moment zcash miner more important. In the future, I will create a miner with these parameters.
OK, thanks for replying man. It's fair enough, I understand your position. Maybe in a near future if ZERO becomes popular then you'll jump on it. Thanks again.

EWBF_ when will the new release

Now i try "squeeze" all what are possible from current algorithm, unfortunately improvements for one card can reduce speed for another. So when I find a way to maximize the improvement of various cards in the same time, I will publish it, but at this point there is no ETA.

Yea unfortunately its a no go for me to, tried everything I could think of, even took all out and installed 1 at a time, then reboot.  Still did not work.  I saw a thread by someone who had 7 working in windows but they had amd and are using 8.1 pro.  I had a couple other computers in the house so I just threw the 7th in that one to mine.  Really wish I could find someone that got 7 nvidia cards working in windows.

@pintycar, out of curiosity, have you tested pascalcoin on your rig yet, I tried sgminer pascal and it fails with 6 cards trying to use 2 threads each.  I dont want to hyjack this thread so if you have it working, can you PM me your setup?

Hmmm that's a shame. Although it makes sense now that I've read TeamGreen's answers too. Meh, 6 is enough and they get more ventilation that way. Regarding PascalCoin, no I haven't tried it yet. If I do and get decent results I'll send you a PM.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: February 01, 2017, 05:25:41 PM
I've already posted this before, but on average you should see 285-295 sol/sec @ 90W.

Settings:
  • Power Limit: 75
  • Core: +185
  • Memory: + 550

tell me please, core +185 from base freq (1500) or boot freq (1860) My GPU after start mining auto boost to 1860 Mhz. Sry for my Eng)

is this the 3gb version getting almost 300 sol?

Amph, I have the 3gb version, Asus 1060 3gb, I do get 290+ on all of my cards.  I have 7 with a msi z97 gaming 5 and I can get 2050 SOL/s out of it

+160 core
+560 Mem

What watts is that running at from the wall? or by nvidiaInspector?

Should be less than 950, I have 6 running now, get my last card in tom.  on my plug I have the rig, small 5 port network switch, monitor (which takes about 30 watts) and I also have 7 usb fans running from the MB.  It currently reads around 840 with a killowatt plug.  I can post pics tomorrow after I get my 7th card running, that should get me to 2050 or so
Hi Bughatti, could you please let me know if you do manage to use that 7th card in the MSI board? I have the exact same board and 7 1070/1060s and it's impossible for me to get the 7th to work in Windows. I get the code 12 error. In the BIOS they are all detected fine. Please report back when you try the 7th card to see if it works, and if it does please share what you did. Thanks!

First of all, thank you optiminer for your work with this miner. It is by far the highest performing one. However it behaves a bit erratically. For example, I use a rig with 4x290x cards (actually it's 2x295x2s) and without apparent reason, it stopped mining on two of them at one point. The cards are rock solid stable and they've never skipped a beat with Claymore's miner or previous scrypt miners. Please see the log below in case you have any suggestions  Smiley (do note that from 18:39, only 2 GPUs seem to be mining anymore)

So far all reported GPU hangs turned out to be hardware related and usually required a reboot to get the GPUs running again. I suggest to try the watchdog feature.
Thank you very much indeed for your prompt response. I shall give the watchdog feature a try and report back  Smiley

@ EWBF

I get instability if I assign only 1 cpu core to the miner. Assigning 2 cores stability went up a lot. (Haswell Celeron)

Maybe you can investigate cpu usage.

Anyway, great miner, thank you for your work.

 Smiley

How to assign more cores, what command would you be using?

I'm also curious.. Smiley
Sorry for a noob question, but I thought that CPU cannot be assigned to this miner. Embarrassed Huh
Can you share your .bat settings, please? I would be very grateful. Smiley

I'm pretty sure he's referring to the process affinity (in the task manager). So it's not about using the CPU to mine, but to process the supporting operations that allow the GPUs to mine.

I'll do Spanish  Cool

EDIT: done. I had to dig hard to understand some of your messages such as: "Can log create error/exception log file" but I think I got the meaning for all the messages. I can have a look once you release the version to see how the text fits into the allocated boxes because I guess not every item is the same length in all languages.
11  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Haasonline Simple Trade Bot For BTCe [Main topic] on: August 03, 2013, 12:45:08 PM
Hi Stephan,

I've just purchased your bot and I'm testing it now. However there is something that has already caught my attention, and it's the fact that it doesn't fit (vertically) in a standard laptop resolution of 1280x800. I need to hide the taskbar in order to see the bottom status bar. Maybe if you showed the safety message as a popup, rather than a static line there, and you allowed the log space to be shrank then it would fit.

Thanks.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FTC][STRATUM] [0% Fee] feathercoin.is-a-geek.com Pool on: May 02, 2013, 11:19:35 PM
Stratum working fine for me and rejects are noticeably lower than on getwork.

However, autopayout doesn't seem to be working. How often does it check if it's above threshold?

Cheers.

Pool fee will be increased to 4%. Due to the current hashrate etc and the fact that with math you should get 4x as much orphans as on btc, i cannot sustain a fee of 3%. Most day's all of the "profit" goes lost into orphan blocks. And this only got worse as the pool grew, up to 4min/block currently. I'm not doing this to "make more money", but to stop the pool from losing money.
Change your signature then, please.

because problem is not in the server itself, i believe its connection. vardiff should decrase not only cpu/mem usage, [which is not the problem if anyone can get a full hashrate] , but also significantly decrase network traffic.
I have the same issue as you. I've been monitorin my miners and they'll drop to 50% speed every 2 minutes or so for a couple of seconds. Apart from the loss of hashrate, also thermally this is really bad for cards.

I'd be interested. Can it mine? split shipping to the us? ($20 a piece)

Thanks,
Hi,

It mines bitcoin allright and did litecoin for a while but now it's not happy with litecoin :S I'm gonna see if UK is viable otherwise I will contact you regarding the shipping (I already had you in mind thanks to your thread Wink )

I might be interested too, have you used it for mining at all?

Where in the UK are you?

I have yes, bitcoin mining since autumn last year. I tried litecoin and I couldn't find the right settings that would make it happy. (It did mine for a while at 0.95v 660core 720mem making 610khs). I'm in London , Earl's Court to be precise.

Hi,

I've got a 5970 that crashes after a few seconds of 3D load. It doesn't show artifacts or corruption it just crashes with a blank screen and the whole computer is frozen. It's absolutely fine on the desktop. £99 shipped to the UK in BTC or Paypal. Card only.

Thanks

Hi,

I'm looking to buy an AMD AM3 motherboard with at least a couple of x16 PCIe slots and one or two x1 ones (not consecutive in the downwards direction so they don't get covered by dual slots cards). Shipping is to London, UK and I can pay BTC or Paypal.

Thanks.
