4  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [3700 Gh/s] DeepBit.net PPS+Prop,instant payouts, we pay for INVALID BLOCKS too on: December 03, 2012, 08:16:56 PM
So should the pool be up currently under the normal address and such or what should it resolve to? Flushed my dns, still having issues connecting.

Lost connections to all my miners just a few mins ago as well.

did you try pit.deepbit.net??

Thanks
Pradeep

Yes, pit.deepbit.net works in the web browser, but once I try to log in, it will go back to deepbit.net/login.php and that's where it doesn't connect.

Anyone know why I can connect to Deepbit.net from my work location but not at my home? I tried reseting the router/modem to flush any DNS conflict but that didn't work.

Looks like we are experiencing a DDOS attack on our servers at this moment.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Any ETA when we might be back up? It's annoying to switch all my servers  Wink

Is something going on with DB?  Pool rate has dropped below 1900 and my stale rate is going way up.  Also the website keeps timing out.
Yes, we are experiencing a DDoS attack.

ETA when were back up?

4x5850 & 2x7970 pulling 2.5-2.6 G/hash total
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: February 03, 2012, 03:15:52 PM
Hi everyone.  I've been trolling the boards for many weeks now and I've learned a lot from others set ups.  Right now I have two mining rigs pulling 2.5 G/hash (4x5850 & 2x7970) and plan on building a garage server to host another 3 G/hash worth of hardware.

I'm looking for a whitelist request so I can contribute to the other sections of the board (and document my next build).

Thanks!

thanks for super fast reply...

i found this http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=HD5850-PCIE-1024-PB

but thats suspect 134$ the card looks geenric.

I have these same generic cards which I purchased a few weeks ago.  They perform well, (pulling 340 each), and came with a 90 day warranty.  I'm actually looking for some more everyday, as they sell out pretty quick.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My initial Radeon HD 7970 mining benchmarks on: February 03, 2012, 03:05:23 PM
Those are great results for that card. Doesn't surprise me a bit. These cards are utter monsters. I'm also curious about the power draw.

I have a 2 x 7970 set up, 1049mV, 1105 core, 685 clock. Draw from the wall peaks at 580watt on load.  Just a reference.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin miners on: February 03, 2012, 03:01:02 PM
I've been using GUIMiner on my 4x5850 rig because its so easy to use.  On my 2x7970 rig, I've been using Diablo miner because GUIMiner doesn't support the 7900 series yet.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cash out or keep bitcoins? on: February 03, 2012, 02:58:10 PM
I believe in the Bitcoin system.  However, I still want to lock in any gains that I can get.  So I've been holding half and selling half of my coins.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HI.. Building My first Rig Need help Plz on: February 03, 2012, 02:55:08 PM
1 word...

FPGA.

do a fourm search, you can pick up 1 FPGA for $580 it will use 20w electricity (FANTASTIC) and will do about 380hashes, you will find it will pay its self off in about 1year and a bit...

Way better then GPU mining mate (imo honest opinion).

Good luck, makes me with i studyed that micro electronic engeneering course i wanted to Sad

IMO this is boring.  Most of the fun for me comes from building systems and pushing it to the limit.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How did you guys get into bitcoin? on: February 03, 2012, 02:52:13 PM
Like others have already mentioned, I heard from a friend and the first thing I thought too was, "wait, this has got to be a scam."  A few weeks later, I have 2 mining rigs pulling 2.5 G/Hash  Cheesy
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Introduce yourself :) on: February 03, 2012, 02:44:25 PM
Hi everyone, my friend introduced me to the whole Bitcoin community a few weeks back.  Now I have a 2 mining rigs Smiley  I hope to contribute to the board the best I can.
