i suggest he donates some of hes bitcoins to some charity given the fact hes not a fan of bitcoin at lease % would go to a good cause.

An identity document (also called a piece of identification or ID) is any legal document which may be used to verify aspects of a personal identity. so what do you think, when Bitcoin applied ID for all user's..?? I think this can make Bitcoin accept to all countries without any resistance.  i dont think this could apply to users but more to a wallet address, since we could still sell a private key with out using the blockchain to make a transaction, hand by hand. |

My thought on all this yes silk road was a dark market but im pretty sure this agents made users do even worst stuff from what their normal operations where at some point.
even in real life, you could see how corrupt the justice system is along with the law enforcer they do it all for a # base or to gain better poll ratings.

BTW this thread seems to be more fitting in the mining speculation board.
I think it's speculating more on the impact on the space in general. It's still quite a way out so I wouldn't want to guess what'll happen. There might be new generations of machinery or miners might go all out to cut costs such as setting up in places with geothermal energy etc. I would've thought the market would've priced it in long before it happens but you never know. Is defendly a big deal for farms and big mining operation, either they cut their power consumption and miner cost in halve or the are pretty much done. |

It's a shame, I used this exchange a bit and really liked the interface and some of their blog posts, but they never really seemed to attract much volume. I'd speculate they were partly overshadowed by other new US exchanges like Coinbase.
Agreed. But I never saw any promotions by them to attract new users. Even here in Bitcointalk, I hardly ever say any of their offers or discounts. Accept the truth. These guys were not interested in running the site. Their intentions were something else. some are just investment to cover some other purposes . |
