1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: April 27, 2015, 02:50:51 PM
Smooth...you a-holes better hope I don't find out your coin had a checkered past!  All of you holy roller mofos shooting off your mouths about being better then everyone are going to be in for a surprise...I will make it my mission to PUMP n DUMP and fuck with your market for a long time.  Do NOT test me on that...I have the resources to give you butthurt for months and months!

And you guys are still wondering why the established media and financial world aren't taking cryptocurrencies seriously.  Roll Eyes

I'm starting to understand why the Dogecoin founder is leaving this community. People like bigrcanada should make it their priority to first move out of their mom's basement.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SDC] The Shadow Project | Anon POS | Ring Sigs | Decentralized MarketPlace (w) on: April 18, 2015, 05:42:17 PM
DASH $ 2.93
LTC $ 1.40
XMR $ 0.68
CRAVE $ 0.48
SDC $ 0.15  Huh

$ 0.15/coin for the best anon in crypto today?

You make the rookie mistake of looking only at the absolute price and ignoring the available supply of coins. For example, there exist more than 10 times as many SDC coins as CRAVE coins, so of course a single CRAVE would be valued higher.

To get a better ranking, multiply the price with the available supply. This is in fact what's done over at http://coinmarketcap.com/, with the resulting "market cap" determining the ranking. A market cap of 1 million for SDC isn't too shabby and way ahead of CRAVE.

it's p2p

the shadowchain is primarily for transactions.

Thanks for the clarification. Still, the encrypted chat would be a useful client feature for interacting with the other party when sending/receiving SDC.

Sorry for my ignorance, but may I know how the encrypted messages and the "ShadowChat" will be technically realized? If the contents of these communications will be stored in the blockchain for all eternity, then I could certainly see how people would be hesitant to adopt these features, considering that the encryption could somehow be broken in the not-too-distant future. On the other hand, if these communications are p2p only (i.e. between the two parties directly), then SDC would not be needed for them, right? Or am I mistaken?

6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Exchange Sells Bitcoin At The Outmost Cheapest Price Possible? on: April 14, 2015, 07:56:35 PM
I can't speak for USD, but I did some research for EUR, GBP and SGD. For those currencies my preferences are:

EUR: Kraken (great exchange if you're European, not such much for Americans)
GBP: Cryptopay (accepts EUR and GBP; very good rates, though a 1% fee applies)
SGD: itBit (free SGD withdrawal and dirt-cheap deposit, if you happen to have a Singaporean bank account...)
