Thanks Crowndesign!
Hi all
I confirm having the same issue with eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008, i.e. repeated time-outs.
eth-ru2.dwarfpool.com:8008 works fine for dual ETH / DCR
eu1.nanopool.org:9999 also works OK, for ETH only
[PS: I'm running Claymore 4.1 on Win10]

Many thanks guys for your prompt replies.
@sidehack/Jake36: now I understand the bgfminer version packaged with Multiminer is too old. No point in keeping trying. Thanks for clarifying. I did try bfgminer 5.4 on its own but only clicked on the .exe and entered details as per post #1, but the cmd window just closes immediately. I guess I need to "build" bfgminer first (as per Luke-Jr's detailed instructions)... I'll have a go. @Luke-Jr: I'll try (somehow!) to link bfgminer v5.4 with Multiminer 4.0.4. Probably trivial for you, but I think I have a better chance of reaching the top of mount Everest than achieving this ;-). I'll contact multiminer support first and see if/how they (well, he) can help and/or post on the dedicated Multiminer forum on bitcointalk.
@AJRGale: left it to hash for hours... I does stabilize at 2.1GH/s. Let's see if I still get the same behaviour if I (ever) can get bfgminer working on its own of through Multiminer.
@Buckrogers: your previous post prompted me to join in ;-). There may be others like us (Windows-only literate?) out there to share the "fun". I'll keep you posted if I get any joy. By the way, the Name for my stickminer is showing as !"Antminer USB" on the Multiminer dashboard, maybe because it's bitshopper.de's version.

Hi everyone Got my stickminer form bitshopper.de (easy to order from and quick tracked delivery) and have been playing with Multiminer ever since, as I could not get old/GekkoScience cgminer or bfgminer to even find the stickminer.
My config: - i3 Ivybridge / 8GBRAM / SSD - Windows 8.1 Pro - Multiminer 4.0.4 (latest available on GitHub), incl. bfgminer 4.9.0 - Zadig USB driver removed, so that MultiMiner could find the stickminer on the COM port
Got hashing quickly, but impossible to get the hashing above 4GH/s, although I have: - Turned the voltage up as per post #1, - Been using a brand new Y-cable connecting 2 USB 2.0 ports to the stickminer, - Added --set compac:clock=x0d83 (to boost the clock rate to 175MHz) in the SHA 256 argument of the Advance Miner setting (I even tried --set compac:clock=x0d83 in the Pool arguments of the pool config!), - Stopped mining, unplugged stickminer, re-plugged stickminer, re-started mining between config changes.
But no luck so far in getting over 4GH/s on the Home dashboard or in the API monitor... Any anybody been able to achieve a better rate (no one so far, looking at previous posts)? If yes, how?

Hi. Just ordered one to play with after reading sidehack's blog. Congratulations to both of you for making it happen.

Hi After much research I've decided to have a go at mining as a hobby. I'd be interested in one of your SP-20s. I would pay you in cash and could drive to Milton Keynes to pick it up next Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm a serious buyer (742x 100% feedback on Ebay). What is the best way to get in touch privately to discuss further? Many thanks.
