There are various affiliate link/survey websites that offer $100 cards as a prize. OP could've cracked some accounts and cashed out.
Another method that was used recently often, was a clothing or stationary? store that gave $100 VCC's away for people who could get 20 friends to sign up. A lot of people just flew through these and were stacking 20-30 VCC's a month

Came across their thread about selling microsoft keys. We got into a discussion about reselling ETC, and I was offered an MSDN account. After I sent payment, I was blocked on skype, the thread was locked and now I am posting this.
