1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XBS] Bitstake | For everyday digital currency tasks on: May 26, 2015, 01:16:52 AM

Lol, this is the paid website where the article was published!!! -- http://www.newsbtc.com/ ---lol!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
Why not on coin desk?

The scam begins again!!!

You've got serious issues friend...I seriously think you need to spend some time away from your PC, or at least the bitstake thread.  Random FUD b.s. that makes no sense one way or the other just doesn't bring about anything for you or whatever the hell it is you're trying to accomplish by bringing this coin down.  The work behind it is something real and if you actually spent the time to get invested and into slack/speak with the dev then you'd realize that.  So if not, gtfo of here.  Go bang on a real scamcoin like GRID or something...so many other scamcoins being manipulated out there yet you choose xbs, loser.

Please answer these questions.  What is the purpose of this coin if the remittance service uses bitcoin?  Why is this coin even needed?  Why would someone exchange bitcoin for this coin to use a remittance service that supposedly already accepts bitcoin?   If you can explain why there is even a need for this coin I would like to hear it.  Why not just launch the remittance service, accept bitcoin, and be done with it?  If it is a legitimate company that accepts bitcoin why are the people behind it bothering with this coin?  Launch the remittance service, accept bitcoin, and collect fee's.  It's a pretty simple concept.

Hey shojayxt, nice to see you back around here. You are at least respectful when you post and will have a dialogue when you state your concerns. But as I believe I have mentioned before to you...

Bitcoins POW is what limits it to just cover remittance payments. Any crypto can be used as such, its just sending value digitally. However, it makes sense to use bitcoin for this huge part of the business since it is by far the most established crypto (duh). But, POS allows the situation to change in terms of financial services that can be offered. (1) an interest bearing savings account. Using the coins you have to earn interest. Please if their is a mathematically safe way you could provide the service using bitcoin im sure you will have yourself a hell of a project you could start. (2) P2P lending. This one a case could be offered that bitcoin could be used to fill the role, however, POS still is a better option. Just staking part of the original loan amount can help with repayment, not to mention a loan based solely on the principle taken and being used for staking. Offering a POS coin with these two things you could start valuing the coin in terms of the amount being used for interest in savings accounts and the debt held in loans, how do you begin to value bitcoin?

Great work dev! Just downloaded the V3.5 win-wallet and it looks amazing! Only thing I noticed is hovering over the twitter bird it reads "Like us on Facebook" and when over the facebook f it reads "Follow us on twitter", they connect to the social network that is pictured. Haha no biggie, just something to think about.

Hi,

Thank you for telling us, we correct this in V4.0 of course.

Your WBB Dev

No problem, I love interacting with active devs! Continue your hard work!

I believe you were in the slack channel too right? Yes I am Alex Kent its ok to say my name Im not a scammer or liar so I dont mind. Im still holding 12000 XBS. Its not Bitstake I have a problem with, It is Mike. If he would refund me you wont hear from me again. He keeps dodging me, as everyone on XBS and WBB can see, which proves he is a scammer and it make the coins he promotes look bad. If he would refund me Ill get on here and say he held up his end then I will be done with all of this. Either he refunds me or Im gonna make sure nobody buys the coins hes into or joins his group. Giving me my 1 little BTC back as he guaranteed would save him alot of trouble.

Who do you think is going to buy XBS with a scammer promoting it? Coins are only worth the highest buy order. Nobody but his group will be placing buy orders and he will dump on you. Ive been hearing about this exchange from day 1 and it keeps getting pushed back. I dont know if you were in Paycoin but this is running just like it. Nigerians may buy BTC but why would they buy XBS and take a chance of losing money in the market? Think about this guys, it does not make sense.

Anyways Mike give me my money and I will stop posting. Bitstake should be disgusted with you bringing all the bad press to them. There is no bad publicity if you are a celeb. When it comes to investments yes there is bad press and negativity can cost everyone. Just give me my money you lieing scammer.  If you pay me you or me one can post a screenshot of the transaction. It will help your credibility.

Yes Alex I was also in the slack group too, I didnt want to say your full name if you didnt want it out but I wanted to say enough so that you would know I was there too. Let me introduce myself properly. Hello, my name is Austin Campbell. I dont think we ever introduced ourselves to each other.

First off Ill say that I do think Dr.Mike should just re-pay your BTC. Especially if that is all you need to end this. Yes, it doesn't help the credibility of the coins he promotes if he will welsh on his return. I dont think that you can relate this to paycoin though...

Honestly, even if they had delivered their promises I don't think they would of been able to actually grow the user base...Their plan was to get people already banked to use their platform, and they really didn't have any financial services. Really just allowed for easy shopping. And to top it off they started with a crazy high evaluation...$20 a coin with no tech developed; $20 a coin * what 13 million coins = over $250,000,000! And the coins were distributed incredibly unfair, I personally had 75 xpy after the hashpoint conversion, $1500 evaluation for very little put in...luckily I got out at above the $4 HP conversion rate so I at least got back from not mining btc for a couple months.

Also, I think as XBS grows its user base that the multi-staking (interest bearing savings account) and P2P lending will quickly grow in use...Which will give XBS value. Right now the price goes down because their isn't buy support and most holders are strong hands that will be picking some more XBS periodically until the exchange opens. But again, that is the key for XBS price...The non-crypto people using the financial platform.

Also, It doesn't appear that your in the Slack channel for Bitstake...I would highly suggest you join, It might put your mind at rest about some of your concerns about the project.

Looks like a scam, smells like a scam must be a scam!

Are you blind and anosmic?

Is DrMike IconicExpert?

You guys are like a little knitting circle of old ladies ...  Wink

You have created this fantasy that some how I dumped (without showing ANY proof). Created some sinister plot and have worked yourselves into a frenzy.  Grin

You mentioned that I said Xamido dumped 50% of a coin? Yet, produced ZERO proof. Sadly, even Xamido bought into that crap? I stated that he dumped 10%. Which is not a problem. Everyone has a right to take profits. I live in America.

So, I call you lunatics out... I say "Furnish Proof of me and my guys dumping anything". Or course you could not, because this is all in your head. So, you resorted to the "12 Year Old School Girl Defense"  = You make an accusation with  ZERO proof then try to make the "Accused" prove it is not true? Where are we? Gym class?

Personally, you guys are doing exactly what is predicted by psychologist when a few of you are stressed and are left alone with nothing but your thoughts. You are going nuts and believing your fantasies... Cheesy

In the slack channel you said Xamido had 50%. If he had 50% and 50% of the total got dumped BEFORE he sold 10% How does that even add up? Before I left the group, Xamido was on here talking about people saying he was the one behind the big dump (over 500BTC dump). I wonder where those people got their info? Where do you think the rumors came from Xamido? I would love to show a screenshot of you talking on slack about Xamido dumping his coins then telling you about it after and you laughing about him trying to buy back in but you closed the channel when I demanded my refund. Dont make guarantees you cant follow through with Garza Jr. You have NOT refunded me yet. Ill show everyone on here proof if you do and I wont bother you or your scam coins anymore. Give me my refund Mike. Show your group you are a man of your word. Give me my refund. 1EfyvtdCQVap4zqofVXzU1GUG6hahd1Jrt

Again I dont care about the coins or the people involved. This is about me and you Mike. GIVE ME MY MONEY YOU LIAR! All that crap you talked about Garza and you are doing the same. Not giving me my refund is PROOF YOU ARE A LIAR AND SCAMMER AND THE COINS YOU ENDORSE WILL SUFFER FOR IT. Thats just not right. Coins and people should not have to suffer for your LIES.

It seems like your beef cryptohound is with Dr.mike and not XBS. If you still have faith in XBS, then could you see how your posts in the XBS Ann thread might hurt and damage the XBS name? I understand that Dr. mike hasnt given you your refund yet like he had advertised but fueling the fire on a coins Ann page when FUD comes up can have detrimental consequences to a communities moral. I don't have beef with you cryptohound (or your initials A.K. if im not mistaken, Yeah I was in that slack group with you too when this first came up) but could you try a more discrete approach to get your refund back, like through PM with dr.mike? My personal experiences with the bitstake team and talking to them one-on-one I still believe them to be very legit and very hard working. Honestly dr.mike you should just give the refund and hope that cryptohound will not make the connection that somehow XBS is a scam that is connected to you? sorry if that isnt your exact view cryptohound but that is kinda what it seems.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XBS] Bitstake | For everyday digital currency tasks on: May 13, 2015, 12:49:18 AM

It is mostly a US problem.  Here in America people don't realize how manipulated they are by the media.  They know nothing about the world outside US borders beyond what they see on CNN or FOX news.  We have people that still think Obama is setting up internment camps and is ready to declare martial law and take their guns.  It's hilarious.  The majority of Americans are brainwashed by the media.

Agree with that! But to continue...

Have you actually been on the site and checked it out? Or in the Slack channel? Again, maybe this is because your a btc guy but they dont really care about btctalk. How many Nigerians are on btctalk? In stead of spending time on here debunking people whose only proof of "scam" is that promises made by other devs or projects "sorta" sounds like bitstake. Except they have done alot more than what the other projects promised and have explained themselves in slack everytime a deviation from plan has happened. I'd rather they be on Nairaland. If you haven't heard of that before that's a good thing, you really think the target audience of bitstake users are on here?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XBS] Bitstake | For everyday digital currency tasks on: May 12, 2015, 10:36:33 PM

The correct way to launch a coin of this type would have been to have the remittance infrastructure in place and then launch the coin when it could actually be used.  The way it went the coin was launched first, then came the promises, delays, etc... just like all the other failed coin projects that never intend to deliver and are just a vehicle to increase the wealth of a few individuals before being abandoned and the parties involved move on to their next scheme.

What is the value that you would put on a coin that you described? Let's say there are about 1.3 MILL coins in existence and stakes at 5% a year. At the moment of launch the entire project's infrastructure is built and placed in your lap with 0 native users. How would you distribute that coin out? What is the value of 1 of those coins, $.01, $1, $242.22? (Sidenote it sounds like from other statements of yours that your belief is only for btc so I would think you might be able to relate to this problem) And this is a start-up company, you took the "start-up" from it. Wouldn't it be better for the value of the coin to grow in value as adoption truly grows?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XBS] Bitstake | For everyday digital currency tasks on: May 12, 2015, 08:50:44 PM
Jiggy is that a joke, who are the people that you believe will benefit from cryptocurrency? People with bank accounts and already have access to financial services?

And boko haram used to have footholds in the north, luckily the Nigerian army (With help from Chad) is in the middle of a promising campaign to get them out. They have freed hundreds of long held prisoners (mainly women and children) from previous boko haram camps. At least this is my understanding from listening to NPR all day.

*Edit: Thank you shojayxt for that post, maybe we disagree on bitstake at the moment but I can definitely appreciate am informed conversation Smiley
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XBS] Bitstake | For everyday digital currency tasks on: May 12, 2015, 07:47:31 PM

CANN?  You sure know how to pick them.  Just so you know.  I live in a state where marijuana has been legalized and I can tell you that with the regulations that are required of the dispensaries that there is no way that they will be allowed to accept a cryptocurrency anytime soon.

What state do you live in with legalized marijuana, and which you base your entire understanding of marijuana law in America on? If you know anything about this subject you should also know that every state (legalized or medicinal) Has their own laws on the subject. Literally for a state to pass anything that moves marijuana out of complete prohibition the STATE drafts its own laws. Thus every state has completely different rules and regulations. Some states are alot closer to crypto usage then others, maybe your state is one of the bad ones.

I'm done with talking about CANN and their project, this is not the right place for it. However for you to come on to another coins thread just to shit talk a coin that has a very hard working dev team, an excellent adoption scheme, and above all is trying to help give the people who will benefit the most from financial services options that my bank in America cant even touch is sick. Then, to top it off you preach about researching a project before you buy, then proceed to state incorrect research yourself about another great project. I think I know why your here Wink I know I know, this is crypto. I should used to the sick games by now.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XBS] Bitstake | For everyday digital currency tasks on: May 03, 2015, 04:27:01 PM

The price is 'unimportant' (supposedly...I don't actually believe it for a second as they'll be major coin holders too) because XBS is not tethered to their 'business' i.e. their business model is not dependent on XBS and (again supposedly with what's been presented) XBS is not dependent on their business either.

So what is it that will make XBS rise?

Has anyone really considered this? DrMike, with all your extensive research?

XBS, doesn't appear to be a fundamental component in the operation of the platform. At best, as you've suggested, it may provide a backup currency. But it's not like it's the 'stock' or the equity of the business. If the business is real and genuinely starts servicing Nigerian customers wanting to remit funds, it sounds like XBS isn't really necessary. So it's really just a 'brand-name' (albeit not yet well known) crypto that's been released by Bitstake as an adjunct to their main service - funds remittance for Nigerians via mobile phone using Bitcoin.

If someone can correct me on this I'd be pleased, but at the moment I can't see how XBS is going to achieve massive gains because it isn't a dividend paying share and isn't fundamentally necessary.

XBS is POS, BTC is POW. One of there services is an interest bearing account, so they can save and hold some coins while getting more staked.

The lending platform will also be using XBS for all kinds of loan types, and again, staking coins over the length of the loan period can help with easier repayment of the loan or make low % interest loans.

And since the exchange hasnt even opened yet, yeah the price doesnt matter. Right now its speculative...its a start-up.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XBS] Bitstake | For everyday digital currency tasks on: May 03, 2015, 12:35:41 AM
what happened? dev gone again?? scam?

I would guess no...The dev and CEO have been on slack and other mediums being very involved and disscussing future plans for bitstake. Email bitstake support and ask for an invitation to the slack channel, that way you can easily stay up with the newest developments for bitstake.

yep, this coins a dead goner. Time to move on because there is nothing to see here.

Haha If you want to remain ignorant to the project and development plan then go ahead...because everyone knows the day to day price of a cryptocurrency is the only important thing, right?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XBS] Bitstake | For everyday digital currency tasks on: April 27, 2015, 09:24:43 PM
Thank you all for your donations, the donation quote has been removed from the homepage.

Once bitcoin wallet has been integrated on the platform, the bitcoin will be sent to the first journalist Paul. And the XBS will be traded on the platform to bitcoin by the other participants.

The purpose of this is to make a use case for Nigerians about how easy to convert XBS to bitcoin and use it to shop at international retailers which was difficult before due to payment barriers and high foreign exchange rates.

It's now left for us as a community to work with other merchants to adopt XBS as their payment options, this will eliminate the need to convert XBS  into bitcoin before buying things online. Litecoin & Dogecoin are the most accepted cryptocurrencies apart from Bitcoin.
