Sometimes it crashes when I put 1 exchange, 1 cryptocurrency and update every 5 seconds

It is very interesting experience, but is missing very important information - price of your power. I mean price for 1 Ghz of S7. I lost a lot on S5 because of price crush!
That information is included... Right here So about a week ago, I threw a stray BTC0.08459316 into a brand new hashnest.com account to try it out. In this thread I will document my experience on the website. I will update it weekly. Idk if this is an original idea or not but I thought it can't hurt to record this data. Week#

I updated it with Week 2 data. 0.0000023007 BTC earned per GHS per day = $0.00095228273 per GHS per day At this rate, I'm set to break even in just under 24 weeks, or about 6 months.
You seems to forgotten that difficulty will keep on increasing in the future and halongs will occur sometimes this year so you will set to break even longer than what you are expecting. Not to mention if they decided to increase the maintainance fee or the price of bitcoin drop down below $300 again ... You will never break even Only in unlikely event of: 1) Diff will stay at the same level for 6 month 2) BTC price will rise 2 times till 850USD And I like you investment level of BTC0.08459316 This is just an experiment. That is your hypothesis, lets see if it tests to be true BTW, I can sell my GHS for BTC on the Hashnest.com market.

Thanks, I'll look at all of those sources. I didn't know there were that many Bitcoin news websites. I already have a pretty basic understanding of Bitcoin and have used it a few times myself. I just haven't participated much in this forum. I am looking for some articles that might discuss the large scale effects that bitcoin could have on the world. Does anyone know of a source I could look at that would tell how much money an individual (or a group) could save by using Bitcoin as much as possible? I think I could use an interesting statistic like this in the essay.

The New York regulation is a poor example of how it should be done. The BitLicense was just a way for them to make make extra money and to exclude poor companies and poor people from using the technology. You cannot over regulate something and think people will be happy about that.
A lot of companies was forced to leave the state, to continue doing business in Bitcoin, because it was too complicated and too expensive.
Ok, so how exactly should it be done? Do you know of a good example, or do you have an idea yourself?

Thanks, I will print this out and try to make some sense of all of the technical stuff. This will probably be great for helping me explain exactly what Bitcoin is. What do you think are some economic benefits that Bitcoin could (or already does) have for the U.S. or the world? What other kinds of benefits does it have than economic?

Hello everyone. Although I have been watching and reading for a while, this is my first (real) post on this forum. I am currently in the process of writing an 8-10 page research paper for my English 102 class about the benefits Bitcoin could have for the world. My current working thesis is this: "Although Bitcoin is widely misunderstood, and this raises some skepticism, it is an amazing new technology that should be taken advantage of." I have changed my thesis multiple times already, but I am very open to criticism and would love to hear everyone's ideas. The articles I have looked at are these: I need at least 3 more articles to reference in my paper, but 7 more would be great. If you guys have any recommendations, I'd love to check them out! What do you think I should include in my argument? I figure the people on here know so much about Bitcoin that you'd have some ideas for the main points of my argument. Finally, how do you think I should organize my paper? I've been thinking about doing the Introduction, then an explanation of Bitcoin, then misconceptions/cons about Bitcoin, then my counter arguments/pros about Bitcoin, then the conclusion. Should I do it like that or some other way? I'm not trying to make anyone write my paper, it will eventually come down to me writing it. But I think it would be appropriate to include the input of some members of the Bitcoin community. I will be sure to post my paper on here when it's done. Thanks everyone!

I tried to deposit an hour ago and it still hasn't hit my scrypt.cc account. It has left my other wallets but hasnt registered in Scrypt.cc
deposits and withdraws are very slow right now but they are being processed. Everyone is either trying to rush their money in or out and it's overloading the servers. Fun times. This is true, I deposited at about 2, didn't receive it in my account until around 3:30

To all those buying don't start crying when in three days you are told there is no more electricity and they have been cut off for good (by the way surprising no massive drop in hashing across the network) and to all those whom have money left over there and KH's get out whilst you can get something out.
At least the excuse is new, still doesn't beat AM Hash with the someone stole our data center excuse.
500 + 350 ghs isnt too much to begin with to be noticeable on the network. It IS possible that they were 'stealing' electricity and have been caught in the act. While they can afford to pay their dues with the noobs pouring in money there STILL NOW. I've seen the chat and Marcello's talking about moving to a new Data Center. Which could take weeks / months. I read the same thing you did but missed the weeks / months part. I understood days. Admin just said in the chat that he will make the decision of whether or not to move the data center tomorrow, and added that it would take 48 hours max to move over. So things will hopefully be up and running again soon. For now, just take advantage of the discount KHS
