1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT] New Wallet Released - Mandatory Upgrade / Hard fork Set for August 1 on: August 25, 2015, 08:43:39 AM
From my standpoint the cpu and ram usage of mintcoin are too high, i have a sub-average computer however.

30-50% cpu usage of a dual core and 700 MB on a 3 GB physical ram system (while regularly using up to 1.5 GB virtual ram, which gives massive lag when it is being assigned).

indeed still laggy ....they should rollback to the version without ingame ads
Also, my phone said that IdleMiners app is using 99% of my phone CPU... Shocked

i think they use it like "The St. Bernard Lake" on mybitmine ...app uses your cpu to mine crypto stuff

If it did, that would be stupid, as even with all (smart)phones of the world you wouldnt be able to mine even a single bitcoin in less than over 10k years, from what a study found out.

According to MyBitMine (Michael the admin) not even cpu-mining via browser (the said St. Bernard Lake feature of MBM), yields anything to compensate the expenses given with 18 satoshis per hour. You can see this for yourself by going to minergate and trying web-mining there (needs an account to accumulate any crypto coins), its the same as the api used on MyBitMine.

There ya go: https://minergate.com/a/465d75bf3d4625dd

response from multifaucet owner

What happen to the 1 million plus coins in there? you didn't sync for 3 days, and I know 1 million didn't just disappear.

need a wait.
this wallet daemon stick every ~ 500-1000 blocks =(

The faucet owner confirmed mem and cpu overloaded could be the cause of it not working... I've made the suggestion of keeping possibly coins only used more then 20 times a day.

It does indeed gulp down a lot of cpu/ram while running the syncing process. But my experience lies with the wallet not daemon.

UPDATE

We have updated the app to 0.0.8 and fixed a couple of things.
* The login/logout issue should be completely done with now.
* The 25% bonus now opens in your browser temporarily until we get it working in-game.
* The payout mechanics is now working properly again. Apparently, we were pinging the FaucetBox API a bit too much but this has been greatly reduced by now.
* Rank is now displaying your correct rank Smiley

*not fixed
*not using that
*seems like it...
*yep

lag issue was made worse tho...
is it just me or is the new app laggy as sh%$ ?
not just for him.

Mintcoin faucet on
http://www.multifaucet.tk/index.php?referral=3509
ran dry, if anyone cares to donate some mintcoins.

Seeing from what happened with HYPER, it will be removed if no donations are received...

It certainly runs the correct version from hardfork, made sure to give GrinZ (the owner) the post about it prior to hardfork and was successfully claiming from it the past days too.

Probably ready to mint by now... seeing as 20 days have passed since first claim.
I doubt it ran dry... just a few days ago it had over 8 million coins... I think something bigger happened

The current balance would support this theory: "Mintcoin Faucet balance: -828.5 MINT"

(Ozycash is a pain to deal with, he spams the Farm Satoshi chat as well with non-value added messages, mostly complaining about complaining and abusing anyone who doesn't speak English. At least here we have the Ignore option, and those who can avail themselves of it may want to do so.)

Thanks for mentioning that, if everyone would stop quoting & replying to ozycash now, we can go back to having an enjoyable discussion thread.

Was hit by lagging issues all day on my Nexus 4 device, yesterday.

Trying to login via website... doesn't work today.

Pretty sure missed the payout of yesterday as well and website keeps saying NaN or none BTC amount as reward since yesterday.

Project already dying so soon? Oo

Edit: App still accepts logins...  and shows the continued balance from yesterday (on a side-note: it did correctly reset my balance day before yesterday to yesterday), seems like we doing 2 days in a row without reset this time. Rank displayed in app is still incorrect too.
9  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: IdleMiners.com - Play from your Smartphone or Tablet and win Bitcoin! on: August 18, 2015, 02:02:28 PM
And the ranking on the app is not correct. In the app I am the 11th, but in the web 14th. Sorry for the disturbances xD

noticed the same weirdness, app constantly tells me: 4 or 5, while web says 10+ rank.
10  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Beta] MyBitMine.co | New Type Of Faucet | Get Bitcoin From Playing on: August 18, 2015, 01:59:14 PM
its fun game actually, but i dont know why im quitting it.. i have 3 worker and cart level 1 Cheesy but when i open st bernard lake, my computer lagg alot

You could always open your task manager (at least thats what it was called in WinXP) and assign only 1 cpu core to your browser, that way it won't slow down your computer due to st. bernard lake: con is that your browser is probably lagging while saint bernard lake is running (and might even lag if its not running, due to insufficient cpu resources available).

wish i have real miner like that fast lol,

It would inflate bitcoins so much that they would be worth less than they were when first introduced. xD
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HYPER ~ Game Currency ~ ON CNBC ~ Twitch.tv ~ ShapeShift.io ~RPG + More! on: August 18, 2015, 01:50:18 AM
Since you can ~possibly~ get better rates exchanging with shapeshift by sending them the exact amounts, i would say: fix the 6 decimals to become 8 or tell shapeshift to only use 6.... tho that poses completely different problems (since their other coins will rely on these two decimals too and can't just be removed from one currency).

Can we have a banner to advertise with?

Could i also know how the reset of ingame balance works? Does it ever reset and at what time (like only when you received the rank 1 reward)? I did notice that i got both my (low) reward prize paid out AND kept my ingame balance (but lost all ugprades as should happen).

Hi John!

I will set a graphics designer up for the task of designing a couple of advertisment banners. Any particular sizes you need?

Can you explain the second part of your message a bit more clearly? You lost all of your upgrades when the server did a reset last night, but it did not reset your in-game balance to 0?

Sorry for late reply, had some virus troubles.

Banner resolutions:
728x90
460x60
200x200

The first reset it left me with all my balance from the previous day (the one i talked about in quote), the next reset i had about 10,000th of the previous balance (some 190 million on the day before, 19k after reset), didn't see what today reset brought yet (and can't remember my balance from yesterday anyway).

Just to be sure: what is supposed to happen with balance upon daily reset? If nothing carries over from the previous day, we would constantly be stuck with the same 24/7 active tapping people to win first 3 ranks.

UPDATE

Okay scratch the video update - the camera in my phone is acting up.

Well you guys might have been wondering what has been going on lately, so I decided to bring you this update on the current progress.

The development of MBM2 is currently on hold while we are waiting for the graphics to be designed. There is simply nothing more we can do now without the new graphics. We will however receive a whole bunch of it over the next couple of days so development can be resumed again shortly. I spoke with our artist earlier this day and he has cleared his schedule the next couple of days to work solely on this project.

Richard and I have founded the company Saovy IVS which will be maintaining the further development of MyBitMine. Saovy is a company which is legally registered in Denmark and owned in part by Richard and part by my other company. The goal of Saovy is to bring you guys the best game that MBM can be, with the highest prizes and best opportunities for later upgrades. Furthermore, we will not only maintain MyBitMine. We will be working on a couple of other projects (both related to Bitcoin and completely non-Bitcoin related ones).

Our latest project is IdleMiners. While Richard & Christian has been working hard on the development of MyBitMine, I have been working on a completely new project called IdleMiners. This is an alternative way for you to win some Bitcoin playing a different game on your smartphone or tablet. So head over to http://idleminers.com and check it out for yourself. This game is issued and will be maintained by Saovy as well.

So keep the name Saovy in mind for some interesting and innovative new Bitcoin related projects. At some point we will build up a mailing list for Saovy, where you will be able to opt-in for newsletters regarding updates for current projects and even the release of completely new ones.

I sent .0005 bitcoins to the address you all gave me to deposit and it was never deposited.  It was deposited to 12bbmgob4nN6NmN2QyQJ29weUDp3jBAdzN.  How long does it take.   Unixx09 is my username

I see your deposit has already been creditted. Apologies for the late reply. We are utilizing the Blockchain.info API which at times is a bit slow to process transactions.

Have a ref link to register with: http://idleminers.com/?ref=JohnSmith
Seems like any idle miner so far... except that the scoreboard seemms jumbled up a lot (hence the "secret" algorythm being used to determine ranking).

Windows Wallet download in OP is broken (returns a 404 page), probably due to HYPER website having been hacked/off and remade. Can we have a new link or is the wallet linked on GP's website still up-to-date?
17  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] CryptoSpot - The First Bitcoin Virtual Mining Game on: August 06, 2015, 10:25:14 AM
Well, not that i didn't see something like this coming starting from the point HYIP (High Yield Investment Plan, for those not accustomed to it) were added to the site, but really - anyone believe the story with a hacker? Probably have to be blind, deaf and dumb to believe that.

#1 eMail address hack will only give access to the eMail addresses login and from then on you can do password resets on every account YOU KNOW about, so unless he has a nice and tidy list of all his accounts in one of his mails... or alternatively a mail corresponds with his username of every site he uses, this is pretty much useless - except for the known sites where everyone knows him by the usual name (xPooky).

#2 15 BTC ransom is nothing short of stupid. Just imagine how much people have put into the game alone (hundreds of bitcoins... if not more), if he really had so many domains and other websites, you can imagine that the ransom-person would set some proper amount (as "he" says to have access to so-and-so many accounts). - And that as well:
[...]
why not just access his c-cex and bittrex and drain the funds you nub.

post the list of domains, i want to see how many scamcoins he's created.
[...]

#3 With over half a million results found on google, Thomas Holzer is more likely just taken from the internet, rather than being his real name.

#4 The HIYP feature Is/was obviously a ponzi, it can't run forever and still pay the admin enough without shutting it down after a while (in the usual manner: site was "hacked", user accounts were "hacked", admin account was "hacked", wallet was "hacked", payment API suddenly broken, site suddenly gone, et cetera and so on ... while "hacked" of course, means nothing else than admin fooling people into thinking that he really was hacked to "lose the money to himself", so to speak).

#5 Why he wasn't hacked the moment he had all CryptoSpots in the site's wallet is simple: if you got all coins of a cryptocurrency, you can't trade them with anyone (to make profit), therefore making this scheme not work out. It's also entirely possible that he wanted to seperate website & CS coins to execute the above explained "hack".

But in the end they always come back...

Summary of my post haha:
xpooky finally got tired of waiting and then he decided to run off now. Don't make any excuses.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT] New Wallet Released - Mandatory Upgrade / Hard fork Set for August 1 on: August 05, 2015, 12:03:56 AM
Now at 63.88%, most recent block downloaded is 1,126,493.

Edit: and the problem persists with this percentage.
Edit2: No wait! it went 1k blocks further now (then stuck again), guess this part will take a whole lot of time (just like syncing HunterCoin from scratch manually...)
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT] New Wallet Released - Mandatory Upgrade / Hard fork Set for August 1 on: August 04, 2015, 11:43:07 PM
Not sure why but my wallet stays at exactly 63.86% sync rate, then gets stuck there and synchronises again to that % point when shut down and started again.

Is there any known fix for this?
Using Mintcoin qt v2.0.0.1 for win32.

Other than the described issue, it has been syncing fine so far.
