1  Other / Politics & Society / The Clock is Ticking - Will there be a Government shutdown and how to prepare? on: September 28, 2013, 02:06:29 AM
October 1st is right around the corner and there is still no consensus in Congress.

Personally, although I'm against the affordable care act, I don't agree with the method that is being used by House Republicans of "hijacking" the vote.

Will there be a government shutdown and do you want it to happen?

Should preparations be made in any way if worst comes to worst?

Will the post office still deliver mail?

You forgot to mention that the course cost is $9.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cheap Litecoin mining rig. on: April 11, 2013, 03:14:30 AM
or put it in a plastic box for $10

In Atlanta, plastic melts in the summer.

If you live in a hot location and are increasing the temperature by mining, you need something more sturdy, aluminum.

I would opt for an open air case for better airflow.

Such as one of these:

And add some external fans.

Price reduced.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long do you hold your bitcoins? on: April 04, 2013, 02:13:09 AM
I'm holding until there is stability or I can afford to buy that private island in the tropics.
8  Other / Off-topic / Re: Guess what I did today? on: March 13, 2013, 01:13:42 AM
Wondering what do you plan to achieve by doing that? A free anonymous donation?

Personally, I never look at what's written on bills. Especially $1s. My primary use for them is stripper tips. And I doubt they accept QR codes.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if blocks are generated faster than they can be downloaded? on: March 13, 2013, 01:05:53 AM
Max block size is 1 mb

So this should not happen (as long as the max blocksize isn't changed)

But theoretically, it can happen given enough transactions.

Sorry I'm in Atlanta. Shipping outside the lower 48 is a few extra bucks calculated from zip 30317
14  Economy / Computer hardware / WTS GPU Mining Farm 18x 5830 on: February 22, 2013, 01:48:25 AM
My power company just raised the rates again and its no longer profitable for me to run these. GPUs have been mined continuously since mid 2011 so they are heavily used but they've been 100% reliable. Will consider trade offers for working bfl singles only.

What would be the purpose of the cards?

Value, Collection, Promotion?
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Project will be making a major announcement in September on: September 25, 2012, 03:58:21 AM
21 pages for a post discussing an article vaguely announcing that there will be an announcement.
Imagine how long this thread would be if some real information was given!

With nothing to imagine or speculate, it would be seven posts long.
