Well... it is Sunday the 27th and about 3 hours
past the long awaited announcement - now what Dev.?
Waiting in anticipation!?
Our calendar says Saturday the 27th... with the release on our posts saying Sunday the 28th. Did we skip a day?

I really appreciate your reply. At least some info kinda came out that leaves me intrigued. I think what I said was that the people I led here became disinterested and moved on. I am sure I can get them back but I want to see what the 28th brings first. I understand having to deal with family issues and I hope it is not extreme. Like I said, I will be here for the 28th. Thanks again for you kind reply. Still only empty words though lol. Jokin....kinda. Can you do something about the fairy though. Either something bad@s$ or something sexy. It just looks to much like Tinkerbell to me. Otherwise it looks pretty cool. Thanks again. I anxiously will await.
No problem at all. Regarding the "fairy". She, or HALO... simply put has no wings. It's a cape she's wearing. She a Heroine. Unfortunately for now HALO will only in appear shadow. But rest assured she's everything you'd want her to be. And in time you'll see more and more of her as HALO comes to life. HALO is nothing but Brave, Sexy, Bad-Ass as you said it (but just a bit)- and really more Caddy in actuality; She's Just, Caring, Virtuous, Courageous, and most of all Heroic. The HALO Team |

I hate to be this negative and it will probably be deleted even though it is total truth. First of all you peaked some interest yes. Asked us to get the word out and some did including me. Those people have long lost interest and moved on. All that has been done here is over hype with empty words. You better be rolling pure gold balls out to us in order to live up to the OVER hype otherwise everyone will move on and your Halo "Team" will have way overthought this project and peoples reaction to it. ALL of your words are EMPTY. You are not saying anything at all!!!!
I have been at least interested to see what you are trying to pull off. I hope it is good. What it really looks like is the start of a major pump for the dev to sell out. Man I hope I am wrong but it is not been good so far. Artwork is cool but the thing in the middle kinda looks like a fairy......I don't know. You need to at least say what the algo is so we will know if we even want to mine it. I will be looking in a couple of days to see how you manage to create something that everyone is going to WOW over. I hope you do!!! I will mine it if you do but over hype normally means bend over to miners and watch the dev hit it big while they run away with btc. Ok, I am going to wait also and hope for something HUGE. Also going to keep my eye on whatever exchange you are planning on using to see if the big selloff happens. I hope not.
Good luck everybody including me depending on the algo. Hope I didn't rub anyone the wrong way but I just see it as truth!! This needs to launch soon and needs an algo to have a smooth launch...and no wallets right at launch. Ok ok!! Let's go to the races!!!!
In regards to deleting your post. We've only deleted posts which were, in our opinion; offensive/used abusive language/etc. You post has now been committed to this thread; as you bring up valid concerns which I'll address. (This response may be edited if any of our team wishes to add to the response - edits will be noted). 1.) We certainly appreciate your initial interest; and of course anything you did to help spread the word. 2.) I know you've said you've lost interest, my only response would be I hope you consider taking a close look on Sunday; and simply seeing what HALO will offer. 3.) In terms of what we are rolling out; wouldn't it be fair to say that most digital currency releases are severely "under-thought". We have; yes; put a lot of thought into this project. 4.) Everyone will be fine with the algo; and to be frank; there has been to much focus on that. It's nothing scarce. It's highly available. You will all be pleased. 5.) There will be no major sell off. We have a 1 Year and 3 Year Cash-Flow Forecast in place which we will be publishing pre-launch which clearly outlines all anticipated expenses to: Secure Primary Nodes for 3 Year; Secure Secondary Nodes for 1 Year; Marketing/Advertising Expenditures for Social Ads; Forum Ads; and Misc; as well as a line by line itemization of all other expenses which will be required to position HALO as a leading digital currency for our future. 6.) One aspect we considered paramount to the success of HALO was that while the currency is decentralized; there must be a business aspect that makes financial sense. To investors; to those who mine; to those who adopt; there must be control within the chaos. Our team is comprised of nearly all digital currency veterans. We've looked at what other coins did, why the ones which succeeded did so, and why so many fail. Running HALO from a Foundation point of view; where there is not a road map; but rather the means; the ability; to realize our plans and deliver on our promise. We believe HALO can be everything in which Bitcoin aimed to do; but simply was never designed or capable of. In closing; our only failed "milestone" was the "milestone". As noted earlier in the forum; our Senior Developer had personal matters which he had to focus on. It's as simple as that. We hadn't launched anything; there was never an ANN thread created. We hope you'll consider seeing what HALO is, and will be, this Sunday at 18:00 GMT.

Phase One POW will be based on a widely used POW Algorithm, be announced in advance (in terms of start of POW), and will use a difficulty re-targeting system which prevents mining abuse. We are excited that a number of the top pools in the digital currency industry have already confirmed their commitment to host HALO for mining. In addition, we will introduce you to The HALO Pool, a HALO Only Dedicated Pool featuring multiple high capacity servers based on 4 different continents spanning the world. Why is the algo so secret! What are you doing! Is it a secret algo? have you restructured a Frankenstain like algo? is it a satanic algo you summoned from killing strings of virgins at a full moon? or are you secret north korean hackers and making us hash out the codes to the US nuke?
- Because we want you to stay curious.
- Working very hard, and not sleeping enough.
- Well it's secret in the sense that we haven't released it yet.
- No none of us felt that the community needed another Frankenstein'd algo.
- We have seen a few full moons during the development of this project, however we can say with absolute certainty that no virgins were harmed or mistreated during the development stages.
- No we're US, and EU based, and no nukes are, or will be involved.

Folks, we'll be adding countdown timers in the next 24 hours! That's correct... timers (plural).
The information regarding HALO and the launch will happen in stages over a short period of time.
I know there have been a lot of questions regarding the algorithm we chose, and we have thus made that part of the initial "Inside HALO" coming up shortly.
The currency, and protocol itself is fully finished. We've been in the process of running extensive backend testnet runs for the protocol. We want the launch, proof of work, and transition over to proof of stake to be flawless for everyone involved.
We're doing some things that simply haven't been done before. And as such we feel it's our responsibility to the community to have ready for launch day a launch ready currency.
We've already received commitment by a number of the top pool operators in the alt-coin arena, and we are in the process of firming up additional strategic partnerships who will help propel HALO to be the defining cryptocurrency of 2015.
We know you are all anxiously awaiting news- and we appreciate your patience.
Our roll-out plan is ambitious, and a core component of our roll out strategy is to have not only a fantastic launch; but also to have a not one, not two, but a number of future protocol enhancements not "planned" or "in progress"; but tested and ready to go. We see this as being an essential ingredient to the long term success of HALO. This strategy will allow our developers the time to continually develop future features, without the stress of having to fix things which should have been properly tested prior to launch.
This strategy we consider to be a cornerstone to HALO's success.
As our Developers finalize their rounds of testing; we're also making sure HALO will receive the PR which we feel it deserves. From the HALO Project's Identity, Marketing, PR Strategy, Outreach Development, to even the smallest of details like over-analyzing font colors and graphic choices-- It's safe to say we're a bit fanatical about our project. We want it to be a huge success.

To those who have asked why we decided on a moderated thread;
We debated this for some time. While a non-moderated thread would be the ideal platform for the launch of HALO, we came to the decision to moderate the PRE-ANN Thread because Bitcointalk.org simply doesn't provide the level of accountability or verification of potentially negative posts/and/or/information being spread within the HALO Community.
We've already removed a few of posts from this thread. Not because we are seeking to silence the voice or opinions of members simply because we disagree with their point of view. Rather, we want the HALO Project, and our community, to not include the rampant skepticism and negativity which plagues so many threads on many forums.
The skepticism that is present on many threads is certainly warranted. We have all been victim to the abuses and nefarious activities that have left a bad taste in our mouths wishing cryptocurrency could be something more. Something better. That spirit is what we hope to achieve with HALO.
HALO, is a new beginning.
We have yet to make a decision on whether the [ANN] Topic will be moderated. And if so, what guidelines would be used to moderate posts in determining any take-downs. At this time, the decision has not yet been made.
The HALO Project and Team invite those who want to participate and follow in our discussion as we lead up to launch with constructive and thoughtful posts.
We'll be releasing sneak peeks of information about the HALO Project and soon you'll be introduced to Halo, our Team Heroine.

Our intent with this initial post was simply to reserve the thread, name, and announce the HALO project.
What's wrong with a little teaser of what we've been working very hard on, and are very excited to share with the community.
We will be actively involved on this thread, but before we publish the actual launch we don't want to reveal too much.

alright but could u set any timeline, instead of jumping back on each notification will just increase your view stats but you would loose your potential investors since only few of them sitting on this forum 24/7 just a suggestion to put up some countdown for the community and for your team too

Halo is out of this world, but if you look closely -- she's anything but extra terrestrial.
We look forward to sharing with you very soon detailed information on the HALO project, our team, and HALO's mission. HALO will offer a whole new virtual currency experience for miners, traders, and those who simply follow along. With an initial staged roll out that will provide real opportunities to those who invest and mine, but also, and most importantly, to use HALO's features, driven by community support, outreach, and HALO's diverse offering-- to improve the lives of those in the world who live in permanent darkness with little to no opportunity to better their lives for themselves, their families, and communities.
HALO's focus is about the light at the end of the tunnel. We've avoided what's already been done so many times over, and our goal on the outset of this project was to offer something completely new. Halo is not just a currency. It's a metaphor. We feel it's the first virtual currency with real heart and inspiration. We hope you will agree.
Oh and yes, details on which algorithm was selected, our progressive Proof of Work Phase, and much much more with be released soon.
