1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Identify Good ICOs for Investment on: September 20, 2019, 12:52:29 AM
Article's definitely a very good go-to for anyone just starting out in the ICO venture. Very brief and concise. Got a good grasp of some of the basic concepts that I neglected to look into before, like open and hard cap. Thanks for sharing. Cool
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Bitfinex still be trusted? on: September 20, 2019, 12:51:35 AM
I traded with Bitfinex for a short while. Experienced and reported an issue to CS on minimum withdrawal required for a certain altcoin. I was not able to withdraw at the minimum amount they required. I was only able to withdraw about 50x the minimum amount stated. Though CS responded but technical support and I guess whole management just ignored the issue even if it was just a really simple one so I thought the issue could have even been intentional or their own doing that's maybe why no fix was introduced to address the problem. I suspected this was partly due to their vested interest on the altcoin I held and traded with them.

And I do find the Tether issue also kind of a shady deal on their part so I finally decided to look for a better exchange site.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner Trader on: September 20, 2019, 12:50:34 AM
Though I'm far from being considered an experienced trader, I know this much when in comes to newly released/listed tokens/coins. After going through whitepaper, more factors that have to be weighed in are as follows:

1. When was project launched/token/coin released? Project roadmap?
2. Vesting period/circulation details.
3. Token/coin listed where?
4. Trade volume against circulation/supply.
5. Causes and other details of past price spikes.
6.??
7.Huh
... Experts, please feel free to fill-in, exhaust the list...
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Top Cryptocurrency Tips That You Should Know Before Trading on: September 19, 2019, 04:23:17 AM
If you want starting to trading you should know some tips. First tip this is you need have good exachenge for your cryptocurrency. If you only start you need have a reliable support 24/7.That for you it is  complete anonymity, only you know that you are traiding. I know one exchange wich have all this, this is  https://exolix.com/.

For effective trading, it is important to understand what type of trader suits you. A scalper or day trader is aimed at fast trades that take 1, 5.15 or even 30 minutes. This is the most difficult type of trading for beginners. A swing trader conducts transactions in 2-7 days. He makes any decision after a thorough technical analysis - usually at the end of the day. A long-term crypto trader or investor is ready to wait a long time for the right moment to make a profit. This is the easiest position to enter crypto trading.
Thanks for the advice. With long-term trading as the easiest position to enter crypto trading, what would you consider as the second step after learning much from long-term trading in order for a newbie trader to start generating more profits aside from the long-term approach?
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to profit from the market, bulls or bears on: September 19, 2019, 04:16:10 AM
Staying away from trading at this time is the best for sanity.
Trading has never and will never be a kinda stroll in the park, its about risks, whether it's the bear or the bull period as both could change anytime, presenting the other..
I do not see any reason to avoid trading right now,its most times advisable to get in at this present market condition and purchase at reduced prices
I'll rather preserve my capital than lose it to uncertain trades.
Are you just getting to know about the unpredictability of this network, there are no certainties,if you wanna store your money(with the same value),then a bank will do just fine
I agree that trading is never easy but may I add that if a trader finds him/herself in an unfavorable situation, the more that trader should persist to get to know why the situation is unfavorable in order to avoid such situations in the future. Sometimes losing in trading makes a trader learn more.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My Trading Success on: September 19, 2019, 03:47:29 AM
Your success could be attributed to great timing getting in, that's why you gained that much in profit. But I wonder how would you be able to take it if you experience losing a considerable amount of investments due to losses? Sometimes in losing you learn more to fully understand what risk management is all about.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to survive on: September 19, 2019, 03:11:01 AM
To survive for me is not all about earning and gauging success in terms of profit cannot always tell how long one will survive in the crypto venture. Some projects that some find as most promising would not always generate the most profits. It's more important to learn what innovations and directions get to be followed through from project to project. In the long run, crypto tech innovations that are practicable for mass adoption would most likely survive.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Centralized and Decentralized. on: September 15, 2019, 06:49:16 PM
Thanks for the links, especially this one. One of the better threads on the topic. Made me think more about the transition from centralization to the role of society in embracing and making decentralization work for the better. It's a matter of mass adoption and meaningful cohesive participation, I guess. Blockchain has created for the world this great opportunity towards that transition. But how ready are we? How will all these numerous and diverse innovations using blockchain give us clear direction? What if the better innovations are less adopted or most or some important ones do not survive at all in the long run?

To the OP, I think you can find your answers in the above thread. So just a friendly advise, lock this topic.
OP, please do. I hope to see more of this kind of replies to recent threads so I can be reminded myself to use the search bar first before starting a topic or replying to one.
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This will help to improve your trading on: September 12, 2019, 11:13:02 PM
hi traders i am sharing my mistakes and experience so that it will help you

here are the mistakes i did and the with experience i got answers to my mistakes

1) dont (care or think) too much about your money while trading this will reduce your confidence and make our decisions to reverse
and put money which you dont need

2) learn about money management (i know you might have heard about this many times , this is a huge topic to explain )
in short

remember trading and investing is a business, you have to risk something to gain something ,
so here is what you can do , risk is in your hand and you dont know how much rewards you will get so all you can do is control your risk , so calculate your risks and then enter trades and wait with patience

at first your goal must be to protect your capital , and then protect your profits , dont risk everything

3) Do not get panic by watching others analysis , remember panic is not good for trading, be confident with your analysis

Thanks OP, will be taking your advice. Your points of advice I would say are coming from many years of trading experience. May I ask how many years have you spent trading and how often do you trade, say, in a week/hours in a day?

I didn't really get your idea on the first point but on the second, I really see the importance and will be learning more about personal financial management. I will be reading and studying the wisdom behind the book "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" soon before this year ends.

Point (3) well taken coz I did experience being swayed by hype by focusing on price/trade discussions by people who I really don't know yet.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you trade? At the exchange? Platform? Bots? on: September 12, 2019, 10:44:24 PM
I just responded 'No, I'm hodling' but would like to trade more often using a platform that would be easy to use for new traders and since I've recently learned how to code using Python, I'm planning to code my own trading bots too to automate trading with the platform I will be using. I started out manually trading directly at Bitfinex and will be trying out Binance next before researching on what trading platform would be best suited for my skill set.
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you need to become a successful trader? on: September 12, 2019, 04:19:30 PM
You're in for a treat, I must say. All kinds of motivation has been said as a starting point in the involvement in the cryptosphere. To earn is just one of them. You may or may not succeed in trading cryptocurrencies but the industry in general would be grateful just the same for your involvement. Learn to appreciate more about what the Bitcoin revolution is all about and earning from crypto-trading will just come as a bonus from truly being a part of the breakthrough Satoshi started!
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit my job to do full-time crypto-trading. Made 12 BTC profit last month on: September 12, 2019, 04:04:23 PM
If I hate my day job and not earning that much as my full potential could earn doing the same like what you're doing, I wouldn't hesitate. But I'm currently with the delivery of public service and I'm afraid earning that much wouldn't be as rewarding as what I get from delivering public service. I even look forward towards the government's adoption of blockchain and cryptocurrency as part of providing public service. I may not enrich myself in the process but if my vision is realized, no monetary reward could match the satisfaction I would get from being part of a state-level adoption.

Will be following this nice thread though since I'm now starting to learn more about crypto-trading.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Centralized and Decentralized. on: September 12, 2019, 03:13:01 PM
Cryptocurrencies is the most popular example of decentralization, it just means no one can control it. No body is in the center that control and monitor the circulation that is happening
- Just for clarification, though the Bitcoin revolution is all about moving towards total decentralization, it does not mean that it and other cryptocurrencies who've followed through will always be decentralized. Some, especially those who have long benefited, are benefiting or would benefit unscrupulously from the past backward trend (centralization) would try to disrupt the network distribution that a decentralized platform's functionality basically is dependent on and try to gain some form of control of the network (towards less or discrediting decentralization). For example, some info have been circulating that XRP's platform and node distribution/participation may be more centralized than decentralized.

Hence, over-all improvements towards decentralization can be viewed as a movement from or a protest against centralization. In my opinion, with all the occurrences of abuses associated with monopoly/control of power by the few with no regard of the ripening of the potential of delegation, the revolution's so much like an overly past due evolution from monarchy to responsible democracy in the political spectrum, if we are to relate the history on global finance with world politics.
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for testers for dashboard with sentiment signal (BTC) on: September 12, 2019, 01:40:37 PM
I'm in the middle of trying to make a choice on where to start simulating crypto-trading and would be interested to try out your dashboard if it would be helpful for inexperienced traders.

And how does dashboard compare with similar or complement other useful trading tools?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My greatest crypto regret on: September 10, 2019, 05:52:50 PM
My biggest regret was when I first was made aware about Bitcoin. It was when I first looked into the darkweb way back 2011/2012 and was immediately made aware of the existence of Bitcoin and that there it was being used as a main form of currency of exchange. I regret not researching more into cryptocurrency and its complete potential because of underlying blockchain technology since I had this initial shady impression of Bitcoin being associated with the transactions going on in the darkweb.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Changing the rules in the End of the Bounty Campaign is a form of Abuse on: September 10, 2019, 05:19:32 PM
Shouldn't there be a thread that could somehow provide some history on bounties? OP for this thread could solicit and update unbiased accounts on participation on past bounties by users and some form of feedback on how the bounties were managed can also be highlighted then possibly ranked. This 'abuse' could be prevented if bounty hunters are: (1)made aware of past schemes that have proven to be somewhat deceitful or unfair; and (2)encouraged to support current/future bounties managed by bounty managers who have a good track record.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bonuses are only to deceive people on: September 08, 2019, 04:19:27 PM
Providing higher discounts at the last minute that could potentially damage investments by early investors? Investors and prospective investors during this stage should really think twice if it would really still be worth it to invest or continue to invest or hodl on to investments in such projects.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The Agony Of Bounty Hunters on: September 08, 2019, 03:59:36 PM
How I wish there were a decent number of bounty hunters especially old-timers who would be willing to compile and archive collective experiences with bounty hunting. It would be interesting and would be a great guide for bounty hunting if data or some sort of comprehensive history on bounty hunting is accessible somewhere. I'm picturing a chronological list of crypto projects which conducted bounty campaigns with some summary of their success or not-so-successful stories. Historical accounts should have info on names of major proponents associated with each project, info on valuation of incentives provided during or distributed after campaign, so on and so forth...
19  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 🌟 Convert your bitcoins into high end artworks 🌟 on: September 06, 2019, 02:18:42 AM
What's wrong with your website? Page cannot be displayed... How to know art pieces are really authentic? Can I somehow contact artist for an art you're selling?
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders who never bother to learn how to trade on: September 04, 2019, 09:43:12 AM
Got in quick too and traded without doing a lot of research first. Initially intended to buy only a fair share of promising tokens...
If you earned tokens using the Bounty company, then most of these coins are junk on the entire cryptocurrency market.  Using these coins not only to learn, but to earn will be almost impossible.  How to learn to trade if there is no real trade in such coins?  It seems to me that you need to learn with the help of real and promising projects in order to become a less experienced trader in the market.
I did mention promising tokens. My mistake was not the choice on which coin/token to invest in. For me it's quite easy to identify promising projects. Trading isn't. What I learned from my mistake as an inexperienced trader, trade decisions have to be made with less concrete basis and the more concrete basis are hard to come by in order to maximize trade earnings.
