He also took shots specifically at Monero in his recent interview with Tone Vays.  The interview is *somehwt* interesting as it discusses the upcoming BCHABC BCHSV fork which should be pretty interesting IMO..

It seems Monero is getting some positive publicity as we said last week. It is slightly shown on BTC price. I do expect trend to continue in next days. No I dont expect and sharp growth, just a slight one. 

Also BisQ is finally considering adding Monero as base currency.  Lets hope for more similar initiatives. Positive publicity Monero is getting these days is helping there a lot.

I still hope that ethereum can penetrate 1000 $ again,
even exceeding the highest price last year, hopefully later this year.

It's not about HW wallets or anything, XMR is being price suppressed because big players are accumulating it big time. As someone said smart money is well aware of monero and they want to keep it as much as they can for themselves until inflation is low and they can mark the price way up

Didn't you guys notice we always are the last to pump ? its because pump happen in hierarchical orders, first you get the shittest of the the shitcoins with the wierd names like GROESTLECOIN and so on, then you got noob coins and strange coins and semi good coins, and when smart money has taken dumb money for as much as they can they pump XMR because they need to store their accumulated wealth somewhere, and whats the better place than monero?

Next year, we'll be at 4% inflation, this is bitcoin level now, and then quickly we'll be under bitcoin yearly inflation... this will be the time to mark up the price BIG TIME, I'm talking BTC current level

This is a slow play, this is like poker when you got quad aces and you want to take as much as you can from the noobs, you take your time, you let dumb money bids and buy DRAGONCHAIN and then you put your profit back into XMR.

how many monero do you have to own to be considered a whale or a shark etc?

I was thinking yesterday. Monero started year 2017 as one of the most talked about coins, but latter lost the momentum. It looked like hype around other coins went up and around Monero stayed the same.  I never understand of a reason for that. Thought of marketing or that those that joined crypto will find Monero sooner or latter.  But what happened in 2017 and now will continue in 2018 are increased countries regulations. Countries had and will try to regulate ICOs and tokens and coins and all to collect as much taxes as they can. By doing that they mention coins and by that market them. And they mention all coins and tokens beside Monero. Because Monero with non transparent ledger currently dont fit in the scheme. And they have no ideas what to do with it so they ignore it. By ignoring they give no free marketing to Monero but give time to develop to get stronger.

Ignore, laugh, fight, you win.

I personally am a convert of Monero as the crypto's best privacy coin. Their move to block ASICs miners shows commitment on their part and I am supportive of developers who man up and keep their word. Unlike other coins out there, Monero truly strives to be ASIC resistant.

Since i joined in this forum, it was only then that i know about some of alternate coins that is flying in colors and Monero is one of them. It almost reached 500$ mark before it went down. I speculate that when bitcoin will have an ATH this year, Monero will also have a new price high too.
