Nice and remember that in order to get to benefit a Segwit transaction you need to have a wallet that can handle SegWit and a SegWit BTC address. In bitcoin core you can create a BTC SegWit address with a command in the debug console.

If you look at addresses you will recieve a address starting with the number Three (3) ..
Move to that address and benefit from the SegWit network..

Some hardware wallets and online have switched and soon Electrum and others will follow.

I use this site as a measurement of how much that is in the pipe in different fee amounts... https://bitcoinfees.21.co/.
So as the topic says.. Do some tests with lower amounts and you'll see that it will work out for you.

This one https://core.jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#2h gives a slightly higher definition and some history as well. You can see that if you are prepared to wait you can get transactions through with low fees. The number of transactions that go through with extremely high fees is mainly due to people withdrawing from sites that don't give the option to use low fees. They either use a fixed high fee to make sure transactions go through at high priority or they use dynamic fees that often stay high long after the mempool has cleared out.

That was a fine chart.. It coincides nicely with the ICO ban in China/Korea (And the ICO people got a heads up ofcourse and the volume ceased) due to the regulations.. But it seems temporary as it was announced that a licensing model is required. https://cointelegraph.com/news/china-ban-on-ico-is-temporary-licensing-to-be-introduced-official

Don't take it literally but it is a possibility that different pools could find their respective block within seconds but that would get rectified when difficulty adjusts itself within 1440 blocks if they start to find so many blocks in short time..

The opposite the other way ofcourse if it take too much time.

well, i tried to to send a transaction with 10 satoshi per byte few month ago and it was stuck over 2 days until i accelerated through viabtc it took another 8 hours to be included in their block. if i used a high priority fee, it will cost me 10 dollars in fees if i used a high priority fee.

Try it today instead! Look at mempool.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: *** BITCOIN FEES - Stop paying overpriced STUPID fees to greedy miners!! *** on: September 11, 2017, 06:47:36 AM
Try to wait for a time when fees are lower because the mempool isn't as full.  If the transaction isn't urgent, always pay the minimum.  There are going to be some days when the mempool is swamped and you will have to pay higher fees if you want to get coins transferred.  At least segwit has helped a bit.

Exactly.. It seems like that blockchain.infos way of showing "Cost per transaction" is utterly wrong. But even that fellow Roger Ver doesn't seem to notice it. He's yelling his fees are killing the system etc. Right after the switch i experimented with sending with lower fees and noticed that it worked flawlessly even with only 1 satoshi/byte. So in that statement he is utterly wrong!

To put it into perspective, this chart https://blockchain.info/sv/charts/cost-per-transaction?timespan=60days is so misleading because this following chart tells us that you don't need to pay high fees anylonger. Simply adjust it manually instead. https://blockchain.info/sv/charts/mempool-size?timespan=30days

When you combine the options to look and think for yourselves then you could start sending BTC with lower fees for others/yourself if you don't need it super super fast then i'd opt to raise the fee somewhat to have the possibility to process it faster but most often even if i send two transactions at the same time with different amounts and fees they almost get confirmed next to eachother in time anyhow even if the fee is 100X+ higher.

I use this site as a measurement of how much that is in the pipe in different fee amounts... https://bitcoinfees.21.co/.
So as the topic says.. Do some tests with lower amounts and you'll see that it will work out for you.
9  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Someone has spawned multiple Bitcoin Unlimited nodes on Amazon just now! on: June 08, 2017, 07:58:42 AM
Jihan BU is declaring a war against bitcoin, that's what happening. He is probably going to Hard Fork bitcoin before UASF makes appearance and he is spending massive amounts of money on nodes and hash power i imagine.

Lets just hope that this shit doesn't explode then!
Luckily enough according to https://coin.dance/ then BU doesnt have advantage in any way.
They need to get their shit together because noone is benefiting from a scare sale dump.
10  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Someone has spawned multiple Bitcoin Unlimited nodes on Amazon just now! on: June 08, 2017, 07:43:03 AM

16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SCAM ALERT: KNCMINER is a SCAM - Cancel your orders! on: November 18, 2013, 09:49:06 AM
Yea KnCminer actually is the most reliable today in terms of low time from pay/get.

They are working hard to fix things for most people and it will get done. Every Company that i know doesn't work to 100% from the start it's a evolving process.
My issues were resolved directly with them..
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of Coins-E - they are stealing coins from the users on: November 17, 2013, 10:37:51 PM
Aaand i actually got this too:

"Hi xxxxxxxxx,
Coins-E has been taken over by a new management. Since the exchange was unstable previously, to start with, we have restricted the number of coins available. But all your deposits are intact and we intend to reintroduce Coins-E within a week. We will inform you in a couple of days about the status. Do support us. We know this is a huge favor to request but we take responsibility for it, and will render the best to all our customers. "

We will only see what they might come up to. Until then i let you know about their actions.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of Coins-E - they are stealing coins from the users on: November 17, 2013, 01:55:31 PM
I withdrawed 3992 DGC coins but they haven't arrived at its destination.
If i had known this then i would never ever had deposited coins at that Place.
Perhaps they are working people and travel alot then atleast they could mention it or so instead of saying a support staff will get back to you within 24 hours and that was 96 hours ago and Three supports tickets later.

Wtf.. This sucks. RED ALERT ON COINS-E
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SCAM ALERT: KNCMINER is a SCAM - Cancel your orders! on: November 11, 2013, 11:29:44 AM
You are correct, when production started for real.. They refused refunds and stated "All sales are final"..
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SCAM ALERT: KNCMINER is a SCAM - Cancel your orders! on: November 11, 2013, 11:12:55 AM
When you do a purchase the purchase is made in a "valuated" manner. When you pay with BTC you pay a price what it costs translated to US dollars.
That value is determined in that particular moment when you purchase the item.

If the price for the merchandise is $1000 then you perhaps pay 5 BTC for it at that particular moment.  If times go by and things doesn't pan out as it should then you want a refund due to some circumstances then they agree to pay you back you will only get back that much BTC that it's Worth by the time they actually DO the refund..

For instance if BTC failed and was not Worth more than perhaps $50/BTC then you would get 20 BTC back to you, if it's Worth $500/BTC then you get 2 BTC back... Then again you could hope that the BTC wasn't worth much then you'd get many many bitcoins but again who wants them at that time?!

It's that simple! Why??

Because today companies cannot purchase services and stuff for BTC, they simply need to Exchange it down to a currency that exists and that is viable for use between each and everyone.. $ SEK, Euro , Yen etc etc..
If the World was a wonderful Place then we would not have any other currency BUT the BTC only then when the value of it doesn't vary that much you would get as much BTC back as you payed but only then... We are about 20 - 30 years away if BTC still is viable..

This is an experiment that has been very sucessfull and survived two major crashes already and rebounced. That is the sign of self preservation currency and we can only hope that its here to last. It would be so easy for the World to use it.

Hope you now understand why things pan out as it is for the moment. For me KnC has been helpful with my RMAs etc and i'm running as it should. And i'm sorry that it hasn't panned out good for you.. Swedes have closed offices in Saturdays and Sundays and if you wrote something to them four Days ago you would probably recieve an answer in maximum six more hours until their office is closed for tonight.

Take care!
