Good project. A small suggestion here. Your process to provide API Key should not be manual, like through email comunication. One should sign up and generate his/her API Key automatically. Also, it is good if you allow to test your features without any API key in the first place. That would of course be within limit and you can apply those limit through IP restriction.
3  Other / Meta / Is there any way to sort or filter threads in a sub-forum as per merit yet? on: September 14, 2019, 07:28:10 PM
Requested a feature like this around a year ago - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5038566.0.

Do you mean total merit across all posts in the topic, or just for the OP?

You may try both and see which one works better. Though, merit spammers will try to game this as well. But with active policing like trust system, they can be identified and punished.

As a starter, here is the technical suggestion I made in the other thread...

Here is a technical suggestion for theymos. You have already created this page for Merit Stats, i.e. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats. How about just adding a board-wise filter to it?

For example, Top-merited topics, all-time of Beginners & Help section should be found with this link - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=toptopicsat;board=39.0

All it requires is just another INNER JOIN, which should not be costly.

I have used the Starter Semi Dedicated hosting pack. Pretty satisfied. I hope the service remains similar in future as well...

Why does the amount of bitcoin keep changing???

Because, that is how it was designed. Please read the whitepaper - https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

Well to be honest, by law they did nothing wrong. And this is a simply fact. For EU laws what they did is legal.

Also I can't understand why their topic is still active...

No idea what EU laws are exactly but I am pretty sure they have a law against trademarks.

If I open up a store called "Applee" and try to sell cell phone and computers, you don't think I am breaking any laws?

If it was just a clone website that would be a minor issue. The bigger issue is imagine if "Applee" sold you computers that stole money from you. :\

Now-a-days, clone is the first step of a scam. In another instance, block-bet.info (which is allegedly run by known scammer girlbtc.com) has outright copied the long standing blockchain based gambling game chain-bet.com and now falsely claiming 1% house edge on their title.

This majority hash power supporting them may do rogue things to core chain and the only option left at that time will be to change the algo.
They can surely attempt that. Good luck explaining this behavior to anyone looking to join their chain (investment, development and any other kind of form of interaction). "Remember that time when we played dictators and attacked anyone who didn't obey our rules?" Roll Eyes

It started with Core...

Confession time: I lobbed the RAM grenades earlier. Core nodes were sufficiently armored to repel the shrapnel. All's fair in cryptoanarchy.

Will be nice to see BU fork away forever.

If they do, that might not be a sweet story for Core chain as well. Because BU will fork only when they have above 50% hash power. This majority hash power supporting them may do rogue things to core chain and the only option left at that time will be to change the algo.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone tried Chain-Bet.com? on: April 25, 2017, 11:25:08 AM
i have never heard of it, i ll take a look rigth now

If u have, please do let us know. I'm interested in playing at 0% house edge as well.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 16x win on Chain-Bet.com with 0% House Edge! on: March 13, 2017, 07:07:45 PM
I just check the board of https://www.chain-bet.com.

So, a 0% house edge game has only 2 wins out of 20, i.e 10%! Shocked

HoW?

Lol,

Random?
0% HE means they don't earn on it.
Doesn't mean you won't lose...

0% HE DOES NOT mean they don't earn on it. House Edge is NOT House Commission. Just like 1% HE sites do not earn exact 1% of the total wagered amount, 0% HE sites does not earn 0 either.

Right now, there are 4 wins out of 20, i.e. 20%.

Right now, there are 0 wins out of 20, i.e. 0%. How do u justify this?

Right now, luck is favoring house. Does not mean, it always will. It is pure probability.

Just noticed Bet ID #843. Someone recently converted BTC 0.0008 to BTC 0.0128 on Chain-Bet.com.
