I suggest that you open a channel of discord, there the information and contact is more fluid than in this forum.

Agree to this.
Easier to communicate.

What do you mean?

Well, Alaniz already posted about the update, but you often re-post the update with a picture and the whole text. I've seen it before Wink.

Yeah i like to see the text as MrSunshine also said.

And i will keep doing it Wink

Radium Update #41 — Radium Core v1.4.7 Upgrade

As promised in our most recent post, our developers have been working to
improve the Radium Core wallet and are pleased to announce that
Radium Core v1.4.7 is here! This is phase 0.5 of the previously mentioned
updates, and focuses on improving the efficiency and ease of use of the wallet.
This is intended to make the upgrade to v1.5.0, at the end of phase 1,
as smooth as possible.

Radium Core v1.4.7

Click here to download the latest Radium Core v1.4.7 release
(Mac releases will coming out over the next few days).

Below you can find a list of the main changes in Radium Core v1.4.7:

  • Peer Discovery: Updated wallet code so wallets now connect to set peer
seeds, obtain a list of new peers, and disconnect from the seed automatically.
This process offloads the work of syncing new clients, so the peer seeds can
do their job without bogging down.

What this means: Wallets will now find peers much faster than before.
Updating the config file with a list of peers will no longer be necessary.
Users with low connection counts should gain connections faster.

  • Code Upgrade: Partially upgraded the wallet base code from blackcoin
    POSv3 to bitcoin 0.11

What this means: Many code improvements, bug fixes, and generally faster
and cleaner running code.

  • Increase op_return: Increased the op_return maximum limit to 480 bytes.

What this means: Entire Smart-Transactions can now be encoded as a single prunable
null-data output, reducing blockchain bloat, decreasing SmartChain fees, and lowering
RAM requirements for the wallet. We can also write more complex Smart-Transactions
with expanded functionality. The improved null-data encoding will be activated in
the future SmartChain 3.3 release.

  • Supply hard Cap: Set the total supply cap at 9,000,000, per the original project
specifications. What this means: No user impact for approximately 40 years.
Block rewards will cease once max supply reaches 9M, around year 2059.

Hardfork-level changes will be implemented early next year, so stay tuned for more
improvements and developments coming soon!

My radium QT wallet just got out of sync today. What's happening?
Was fine for the last few months. I have 23 active connections.

Have you tried restarting it?

Why dont Radium rather convert to a token on the Stratis platform once everything is in place? Much less effort than to maintain a separate code base.

Radium wants its own platform.

Radium Update #40 — Core Protocol Upgrade Plan

Following on from the successful SmartChain governance votes on our
proposed Radium Core protocol upgrade proposals (you can read about this here)
we would like to share our rough time frame for the various updates we have planned.

The plan is to split the upgrade into two phases. Phase 1 will consist of hard fork
level changes to the Radium protocol and Phase 2 will be consist of porting the
Radium Core wallet to a Stratis codebase. For more details please see below.

Phase 1: Hard fork current C++ codebase

Implementing the approved developer fund subsidy and increase in block maturity
requirements are protocol changes which require a hard fork of the Radium Network.
In the interest of time this will be done before we transition to the Stratis C# codebase.
Below is a non-extensive list of what we have planned for this protocol update:

  • Increasing coin stake maturity requirements
  • Implementing a developer fund block subsidy
  • Adjusting our inflation curve to reflect the introduction of a developer block subsidy
in order to keep the maximum total supply of Radium at 9,000,000 RADS
  • Increasing the size of op_return transactions
  • Improved initial node discovery

Once the improvements have been implemented and fully tested, we will post a full
changelog for additional review. This new version will be referred to as Radium v1.5.0,
and we expect completion of testing early next year.

As with all our forks, we will be providing ample time (4–8 weeks) for both our users
and critical infrastructure (exchanges, explorers, etc.) to update their nodes and software.

Phase 2: Stratis C# Codebase

Phase 2 will consist of porting our codebase to a Stratis C# implementation. We are in
communication with the Stratis core developers and will strive to have a Radium C#
implementation as soon as Stratis releases their production version. Although we don’t
have an exact timeline for when this will happen (we have been informed it will likely be
2–3 months) we would like to have this ready in the first half of 2018.

We would also like to add that we are working diligently on getting a new website ready
as well as working with various members of the community and external consultants to
develop the Radium brand and increase our exposure and impact through marketing.
More details on this soon.

how many coins are required for POS? for example, at least once a week.  200, 300, 500 ?

If you have around 1000 rads, you will get 1-2 stakes per day.

Is there a way to get an invitation to the Slack channel?

Radium aint using slack anymore, its Telegram they use.
