Yeah, withdrawals are disabled, (at least usd) but you do not hear from them...
Cryptsy is a bunch of thieves.
Look at the prices... BTC in Cryptsy now at 251$, in the rest of exchanges: Btc-e: 240.06$ BitFinex 243.74$ OkCoin: 242.79$
When this thieves closes the withdrawal, the endogamic system increases the prices, because every one want to buy BTC to extract his money...
You can see the same effect in the other bunch of thieves called HitBTC, with their withdrawals (and account verifications) blocked months now, the actual BTC/USD price: 254.5$
Can tou see the people strugling triying to extract his money out? hufff
I dont know how this fucking companies can operate without any rules or interventions.

You deposit BTCs, trade for dollars, and then you realice that Cryptsy withdrawal does not work and end with your money blocked over a month, without any solution from support... this is a scam for me.
I have no other explanation for this.
I find it unlikely honestly. Send me a ticket number or something like that so I can verify and get you sorted if that is the issue. The majority of posts where someone has had their money taken etc are fake generally some guy trying to socially engineer his way into an account and steal money.... We take security seriously. I wrote about my incident in the post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1032488.0in that post you asked me too for a ticket number, and I gave to you, without any sucess... you have too many words for the gallery and few acts, like all Cryptsy support service. It took me over a month get my money back, re-buying BTCs again in order to make a withdrawal, and in all that time, service support give no other response than "Sorry, we asking you for more patience"... |

Beside Tether issues - which I never used - I think that Crypsty is great. I am from Los Angeles, like Tether, and attended one of their presentation.
I made two attempts of withdrawal my USDs with Tether and they fail. After a full month waiting with my money blocked in that withdrawal attempt, the only answer I get from support is for ask me patience... Is not a serious bussiness. They can nor freeze my money for a month, without any compensation or explanation. After a month, they release my money, try again a withdrawal and fail again... I ended buying BTCs si I can get my money out. |

The Tether option to make withdrawals in USD... simply does not work, in my case, since day 2 (more than 24 days waiting for two withdrawals)
If you try to make a Tether withdrawal of USD, you can do it, (the option remains available), but... does not work: they block your USDs (then, you can not access to your money) and the withdrawal is showed without TrxID, so... you end without your money and without withdrawal.
This was reported at Cryptsy service support since minute one, with no answer for 24 days now.
II'm thinking they do not have the money, maybe has been hacked or robbed, but they will not admit it.
Danger with Cryptsy... no money, no support, no service....
If/when I get my money back... I'm done with this thieves.

23 days now waiting to Cryptsy unlock my 1000USD bloked in a failed Tether withdrawal, and with no explanation from support service. They just ask me for more patience... pfff
Better use another exchange if you don want to be robbed.

My case is worst...
I am waiting a withdrawal in tether, (about 1000$) since day 2 of this month (and today is 25) and I have no explanation from Cryptsy.
Support just ask me for patience... More?
Cryptsy is a shit company, capable of that.
Today, if you use Tether, you can suffer the same... simply the system doesn not work, neither the support service.

I just start using Cryptsy to shell my BTCs because they have integrated Tether to make withdrawals, but... its a fucking scam and, let me tell you, is a very bad image for the Tether system. Tether works for me in Bitfinex and Poloniex... like a clock, money tranferred in about 15 minutes, but here... is a scam. They have blocked my money (USD) for 10 days now, and the support service does not give me any reason, just asking me to wait and wait.... Is not a real exchange site... is a scam dressed as a serious bussiness. Is not acceptable that any bussiness block my money for 10 days without any good reason an without any explanation. This is my withdrawal hystory:  There is more than 1000USD blocked in two Tether transactions, since day 02/06/2015 without any explanation. This people dont have the money in their wallet for make the transaction... and give me none satisfaction, explanation or nothing else... just an unwanted waiting and meanwile I'm thinking they are in Bahamas with my money... This is a capture of the response from support service:  Now, anyone could tell me if the response from "Marjorie" is from a real person or from a robot? I get the same response several times, asking me for more time... but without any reason or explanation about the problem. Marjorie, If you're a real person: Know that your job performance stinks, and you should know that you can be replaced by a PHP script programmed in three minutes ... This is a site to avoid... they have no real service support, no consideration with the money of their customers and absolut no respect. If you are planning to use some insignificant cryptocurrency without any warranty, trading cents... Crypysy is your place... but, if your intention is deal with a real and well based bussiness, trading with real money, or real quantities of cryptocoins, better choose another... this people sucks, sucks in service support, in respect to the customer and sucks in the real daily basis of keep everithing working as should be. |

Our issue with tether has just been keeping wallet filled. Most of our Withdrawal methods for USD have been removed for various reasons. So users with a USD balance are using tether to withdrawal it.
Which simply means we need to buy more tether which we have but it can still take a few days. We purchased plenty and withdrawals should be moving tomorrow.
We apologize for the inconvenience it has caused.
Bad provisioning in the wallet, I can live with that, but not for 10 days when my money is blocked/missing and no answer yet from support people. This is the standard response I get after 10 days: Hello Ignacio,

Do you have a ticket #? Ill see what I can find out for you.
Of course, is: #188560 stils open 7 days now without any reasonable answer. After 6 days of delay, the withdraws worked out, but the next two I made... failed again. It seem like Cryptsy 'open the valve' and everything works as normal, but then Cryptsy 'closes the valve' and tether withdrawal stops, bloking the money for 5 or 6 days. In this conditions... tether is slower than a normal bank wire transfer. |

The answer is very simple:
Because you can not make fiat withdrawals, no matter what you do (try to verify your account, write to support, etc).
Is just an scam.
They are expecting that you put your BTCs into, sell into fiat and then... YOU ARE TRAPPED!!!
The exagerated price is because the people are triying to re-buy BTCs so can exit fron hitbtc, because they can withdraw BTCs, but they can not withdrawal fiat...
Is a first order Scam.
The same thing is happening right now in Cryptsy... you can put crypto in it, but the withdrawal system (via Tether) is not working, so... the prices arises.

Maybe is because they put as valid USD withdrawal method Theter, but... does not work... simply if you use it your mone goes away....
They know tether is ot working but, the web still have the option for use enabled.
More than 4 days waiting an explanation from suport and counting, 3 attempts to use tether for make an withdrawal failed (and the money lost in transaction)
Maybe this is my reason for hate them.
