1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PayCon [CON] X13 ALGO - PoW/PoS on: July 22, 2016, 12:31:12 AM
Well no joy on the 32 bit front. the program ran once with an empty dabaase dir but when restarrting it refuses to run and stops without an error message.

Edit: After removing the tor and onion dirs in the .PayCon dir the program starts so it has something to do with the saved information about tor.

There was a no-tor branch in the crestington repo which was for 32 bit and worked along side the tor

Con could have the same issue right? So better disable upnp

Looks like the upnp is used as a type of ddos attack, attackers wouldn't really bother with CON but would be good to disable it. I am curious how that affects dns seeders though.

consider to get in touch with https://staisybit.com
great new service that allow webwallets that are able to stake for POS able coins

for now its just a webwallet that can stake

but later on it will be linked with android apps and marketplaces too

i think now when this company is in the startup phase its maybe possible even a small coin can get added

later on it will be very difficult for small coins get a slot i guess

I'll ask them in a few days when I'm home, I get back on the 15th. Can send some requests in to get CON added, does it cost? I'll donate some to help where I can. Also for nodes since there has been some discussion, I maintain about 5 nodes for PayCon across different areas of the world, I'd have to check but I think it's new York, London, LA, San Francisco and Netherlands. I don'tthink I'd do the nodes from the node hosting site because it works out to $60 a year for 512 mb ram but from crowncloud.net you can get 2 gb ram for $30 a year.

Con is marked for delistening on c-cex.Cryptsy,big issue now, many people cant witdraw his btc from cryptsy and some alts.lot of talk about Cryptsy on btctalk

It would be a good time to generate some
volume on CCEX and pull the buy -sells a little closer together.

Yo it's Crestington here, I'll be away for about a week but don't have access to my account atm. Coincidentally, I'm at jahvinci's house right now, first time meeting anyone from crypto.

Guys, trade your CON!
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Scam's Exchange: C-CEX on: June 02, 2015, 04:40:07 AM
C-cex has been good to the PayCon crowd, added it with no ICO and as far as I know did it without asking for coins. C-cex has been very good for communicating with, easy to get a hold of them, updated quickly when needed.

Atleast c-cex gives lots of new coins a chance although lots are scams. Why are you buying icos anyways? Just have to look at their OP and decide what its worth, you should remember that if there is an ico, it needs atleast double that in new investment for old investment to recieve a profit. People buy icos because they want to buy an island, in reality you would do better to focus on existing markets for trading and their fundamentals, if you can get that down pat then you could make a profit off of nearly any coin or ico regardless of whether its a scam or not.

Bottom line is c-cex needs profits to grow and everyone still believes the next coin is going to make them rich and can sit back and drink margaritas while everyone else does the work.

Think about this for a moment, muddafudda left PayCon so I created a new OP, increased the rewards a bit and started adding new features. If I had just left it then people would class it as a scam because no one else would step up to do that until it peters off, instead people are making ROI through both Staking and trade. It was an easy decision to take over PayCon because there wasn't any ICO, no promises, no large premine and muddafudda was gracious enough to let people know he was inable to manage it.I took the time to learn how to code, its beneficial because you understand how the growth works then you are only bagholding if you want to and can make it work for everyones benefit, you also get to know other developers so you realize that most every coin developers are not that skilled or area specific, there just isn't enough time to singlehandedly do everything, if they are telling you different then you should be digging for the truth.

This is Crestington btw, just away from my account atm.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CON] PayCon™ POS 30 Coins per Block - Get your CON on! on: June 02, 2015, 02:16:35 AM
Hey Crest, lemme get this straight, pos is 30 con for every block? Not 50% right? Or is 50% but the max you can get is 30?

POS is 30 CON per Block  Cool
Somone should edit out 50% from op then. It's confusing.

Its 30 Coins for every block regardless of the size of the block, up to a maximum of 14 day coinage, the smallest blocks I have seen stake lately were around 300 coins but that might be a little misleading because the default stake theshold is 500 but I doubt anyone changes it. Most blocks are between 500-1000 that are currently staking, smaller blocks would take longer but yeild a higher % reward, larger blocks will stake sooner and can compound a little.

Hope this helps

Oh fantastic, got wifi on my journey.

Yeah so I have been packing over the last couple days but was using quite a strong password but not able to access that, trued to reset my password but not getting the email. Will be a day or so without my computers to do testing and such, maybe have to sweet talk the mods if I can't get my password reset.

Anyways, ill let you guys know as I get more sit uated.

Someone mentioned about the 50% per year and 30 coins per blocks being confusing, so before block 50k it was 50% calculated per year and after block 50k it was changed to a static rate of 30 coins per block. I picked up a bit of extra CON along with around 3k that was donated through stake. I want to do an OP competition once I get sorted so how that would work is I would redo the OP the best I can, and then people can quote it and edit whatever way they want and get paid some CON depending on the amount of complexity of the edit, then the next turn gets edited and so forth.

I was also provided a nice guide for setting up an auto updating bootstrap to help new users sync to the highest chain much faster so will be working on that as well. Ill have about a month off to do work on crypto, wonder how much I can get done.

Hi everyone, this is crest

I am currently in the middle of moving and don't have access to my account and may be without internet for a few days.

I don't have much time so ill make this brief

DCgirl, please upgrade to the latest version 1.5 and it will solve your problem as it was a mandatory upgrade to tighten the block drift.

Also, the orphans you see are normal and is latency, a block is accepted but is orphaned by a larger block that arrived before it.I have a test ready that is there to help combat orphans and improve connectivity one page back but just needs to be compiled and tested, just ran out of time.
