Big bad M3ndi3 now BANNED from nokoin forum.  Shocked

"This user is suspended until October 22, 2016 10:37am.
Reason: Spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD) and subtracting value from the NeuCoin Project. Both here on the NeuCoin forum and on other social media."

Er, most people would say truth and concern, not FUD.
Suspended for spreading truth and concern.

Yes OK, the truth does tend to subtract value from nokoin, cant argue there.

-But if you are what everyone suspects on this forum, then yes, I was most certainly ban worthy. You fear me because I speak the truth and people will listen to what I have to say. So yes, if the truth spreads fear, uncertainty, and doubt to your plans, then I definitely deserved the ban:)

Welcome to the club of those who dared to speak the truth!! the ban list has probably already outnumbered the active users there!

Yes, the truth does tend to subtract value from nokoin because it is all about deceit, hype and smoke screens. As another ex-nokoiner turned dissident Gizfreak said, it is as transparent as a brick wall.
After all this schizophrenic behavior by the Nokoin regime and Daniel Kaufman's track record of stealing and selling user data, it is just plain stupid for anyone to trust them with their personal details. That is like handling your money to Bernie Maddoff for investment.

as expected I was also 'suspended' and my post deleted https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=944933.msg12741604#msg12741604 nokoiners have by now lost almost half their investments, everything else remains the same

funny how they say suspended for one year?? LOL as if anyone in that growing list would be interested in returning after one year? Or that this project will even be around after one year??

When you ban someone like M3ndi3, who previously has contributed enough to Nokoin to be made moderator, it shows how desperate they are to keep the appearances. The more an authoritarian regime is about to crumble, the more paranoid it becomes.

Arguing about the contradictions in the system of North Korea itself is treason and would be treated as a major issue that one can not live in North Korean society. Over 70 percent of reports of Korean Central Broadcasting are allotted for Kim's idolization and propaganda system. The rest of the reports are spent on blaming and predicting the collapse of the United States, Japan and South Korea.

The Reporters in North Korea spend their time writing flattering articles to Kim. Kim Jong il used to punish the people who wrote from different point of view, saying "Words describe one's ideas".

Nokoin, doing crypto the North Korean way.

My last post at the nokoin's forum gulag, let's see how long it lasts lol. I freely quoted many of you guys, hope you don't mind  Cheesy
Thank you all for exposing these type of traps that taint the whole crypto space. I'm sure many newbies would have lost money if not for all the facts you posted here!!

You were duped into investing your hard earned money with grand claims of this being the next big thing. Now 1/3 of your investment has evaporated and the price just keeps going down because no one is falling for the hype. Free survey coins should be released in a few days to people who will eagerly dump them regardless the price, not to mention the billions coins that will be slowly offloaded by the team to naive newbies. When will you cut your losses?

You were dazzled with a list of rich and famous who supposedly endorsed this project. None of the big names has publicly vouched for nokoin nor seem to be interested in speaking on its behalf. For them it was just one more cheap opportunity to make a small early investment, you know, just IN CASE it made it. When you buy some S&P 500 stocks doesn't mean you stand behind all 500 companies. When will you stop worshiping cardboard standups?

You were betrayed by the founder Dan Kaufman into believing that he is a respectable and trustworthy entrepreneur despite his past legal troubles of infecting millions of computers with spyware and other less-than-stellar ventures. It is public knowledge that his previous company called their users 'trailer cash'. Now he has your money and is nowhere to be heard or seen, only to hide behind fake accounts shilling at other forums. When will you learn to not trust someone with such a dismal track record?

You were hyped with fancy words like innovation and mass adoption, but all you got was a underwhelming re-packaged Peercoin fork with zero proven innovations that would make it stand out. You also got a purposely confusing qt wallet which indirectly forces you to stake all your coins by locking them online for long periods of time. When will you understand that with nokoin, lies and incompetence go hand in hand?

You were invited to join a forum that pretended to be friendly and open, yet those who dared to ask tough questions or expose facts were banned and their posts censored. You'll find as much respect for truth and free speech here as you will in North Korea. Kim Jong Un would be jealous of all the blind faith and mindless propaganda here. When will you stop drinking that Kool-Aid?

You were promised utility since day one, services that would accept nokoin from the start. One month after launch, there is absolutely nowhere to spend your useless coins except dump it in the only one exchange left that will take it [or risk Cryptsy going Mt. Gox]. When will stop waiting for the moon that never comes and realize that you are sinking?

You were impressed with claims of a professional marketing team that would take nokoin mainstream, despite it relying on someone who has been barely able to hold on to a job for the past decade. Now Mark is silently drowning and the only 'marketing' you see is ads and unconvincing paid articles that are laughed at by readers. Even Kourosh [one of the whitepaper authors] left nokoin months ago. When will you raise your threshold of self-deception?

You were fed tales of snowflakes and unicorns when you worried about all the delays, missed targets, anonymous off-shores and dodgy actions. Now you see the list of lies just keeps getting longer, the communication keeps getting even less substantial. When will you realize you've been ripped off by a serial internet crook?

You were told nokoin would gain wide popularity and this was a fantastic chance to jump in early. Oh my, you were even told it would get one million users in the first year!! Now everyday more and more presale buyers dump their coins and walk away in utter disappointment. Per usual, their posts are deleted here but you can read their thoughts at other forums. When will you also step up and say enough is enough?

The red flags are all in front of you, but when will you open your eyes??

Farewell nokoiners, may you be wiser and luckier in your future investments.

Kimberly,
Thank you for the orientation!
Your post was refreshingly organized and rational and thus comforting in all this chaos. I was feeling good...
But then your link at the bottom, pointing to some dude with the email address "neucoinisascam@gmail.com", was as wacko as any pumper or troll in here.
I think it would be awesome if people here could get past the "it's a SCAM!" and "it's the greatest!" shouting. it so obviously isn't either one.

This dude was a big believer in Neucoin and that is the point.
He invested 40 BTC during presale and was very supportive in the beginning. He followed closely everything that was happening and concluded that he has been "ripped off". You can read his post history on their forum to see why there was such a drastic change in opinion. Maybe you will agree with his points, maybe you won't. At least you'll know the rationale behind someone who has been on both sides of the fence.

I believe he created this email so that other disillusioned investors [and there's quite a few at their forum] could contact him and discuss how to proceed next. I don't see any trolling or wackiness from his part, but rather a genuine concern for his hard earned money.

I don't think any of us is implying this is a simple 'grab-n-run' scam, there are however serious red flags that any potential investor should seriously look into. On a micro level, it is someone's money that is at stake. On a macro level, it is another possible blemish for the cryptocurrency ecosystem
Once again, think about what people are saying and decide for yourself if it makes sense or not.

This forum is insane.  Smiley

Welcome Long Neucoin

Rather than focusing on the motives behind each person [regardless of pro or con], you'd benefit more focusing on the points that each one has made

Read both sides of the argument with an open mind. See who is presenting facts and who is just running their mouths, google around and read the publicly available information. Think which points are more sensible.

Things are messy now with all the newly created spam accounts, it is quite clear from which side  Roll Eyes

The actual details of the project have been discussed here, just buried here and there within these 56 pages. Concerns of coins being centralized on the hands of a few investors and team are under discussion as of now. We will only really know if distribution will be wide and fair after launch.
as for micropayments, all cryptocurrencies can handle micropayments well. It is like saying that a boat can float. I don't see the advantage here? Claims of certain 'innovations' have also been discussed and debunked here

no one knows if it will sink or swim but you can keep an eye out for a few indicators:
-What has been the general reception of the crypto community? Not just the Bitcoin one, but also of other major coins such as Doge, Peercoin, Dash and so on.
-Have the set targets been met so far??
-Has the coin secured any significant partnerships?
-Over a year in development and 25 days left to launch, what has been the achievements so far?
-Has the team been transparent and open to criticism in their forum? Or was there censorship?
-Beta is open. Has any impartial tester expressed awe or found any true innovations?
-Does the coin exhibit typical signs of a Pump n Dump??

TIP: you can find all answers in this thread, just be prepared to read  Wink

As a final thought, here is what one of the biggest investors said a few days ago

Hey nokoiners, how's the beta testing going? Ohh wait, don't tell me another deadline has been missed?! Now ya'll gone silent and the hubris has faded?? Good grief, this is not gonna end well at all!
One of the biggest presale buyers has been banned for speaking against this farce. Now even minor complaints [like zorroaster7's] gets deleted too. Not surprised, nokoin is all about blind faith in tales of unicorns bringing magical coins from Narnia, except the unicorns seem to get lost all the time.

Things are looking increasingly grim for nokoin so any sort of reality check is met with ridiculous levels of censorship.

I stopped replying in the Neucoin forums because those people are either sock puppets, or as dumb as mud. James is about the dumbest person I've ever encountered on any forum since the beginning of the Internet.
Gotta agree James is either brain damaged or a very poorly executed shill persona. How he can smell perfume in every nokoin fart is just unbelievable. The team and mods are about just as disillusioned or shamelessly posting lie after lie. Only m3ndi3 seems to be somewhat in touch with reality.
I hope that primavelsoup and other investors will join forces and get their investment back soon. Good luck!!

Hi to everyone who is new to NoKoin here!

Just a quick reminder that this thread has been the primary source of discussion regarding NoKoin. The big difference is that here you will be able to discuss freely, ask any questions and expose facts without being censored and banned. Several nokoin forum mods and shills are active in this thread, so you can be sure that both sides are fairly represented here, unlike in the official forum.

If you would rather ignore all the facts presented here and mingle exclusively with nokoin fans, join the official forum. There's just a few of them, so it gets really quiet and you might get bored. You'll have better chances of finding Satoshi Nakamoto than any meaningful updates there. Keep in mind their marketing fuhrer Mark has a track record of offending those who complained about not receiving survey coins and banning users at the drop of a hat. Stating that "harshing on my buzz, dude" as part of the official reason for banning someone just gives an idea of the level of professionalism and maturity you can expect from him.

Also, you might be interested in reading a [40 btc] presale buyer's response on why nokoin has been quieter since the end of the presale, posted on their own forum.

I almost bit my tongue but it's clear that many on this forum have drunk way too much of the Neucoin Koolaid and I'm getting a bit tired of people making the "Neucoin is being strategically tight lipped" argument as an excuse for what I believe may either be laziness or a genuine lack of progress. ... I challenge you to point me to one MEANINGFUL post pre-sale update.

You are joking right? Have you even looked at these sites? You are trying to tell me that creating a silly animation of a squirrel jumping around and posting it on a web site demonstrates real progress/effort?

******
Here are a couple points about a few remarks that were made here on BTCtalk.

  • About Daniel Kaufman’s “shady past”:
His involvement in Direct Revenue has been displayed on their website because he tried to hide it before and that didn't work out well. The website also heavily sugarcoats what Direct Revenue truly was, just google it and you'll know. What remains completely hidden is the fact that 3 angel investors were part of the original Direct Revenue management. So those directly responsible for infecting millions of computers with spyware and got sued twice are now trying to sell you NoKoin.

This subject has been discussed through and through here but members who mentioned that on the official forum got either banned or threatened with ban. Questions about the anonymous and unaccountable Seychelles company holding all the presale coins and possible breach of blue sky laws is also taboo and will get you banned.

  • About the NeuCoin forum:

while i'm looking, I checked daily "users"
19 listed (nokoin forum) users
6 mods/admin
6 zombie "straight zero's"
3 new today, unlikely to return (statistically)
4 "genuine" users
http://forum.neucoin.org/users?period=daily
nokoin still BS about active users. still giving different figures on different pages (see 2 links above)

The fact that this thread is far more active than the official forum and most posts here are negative speaks volumes.
Seasoned cryptocurrency users see through the farce easily. Read through the posts here and see how legendary and hero members easily disprove NoKoin's claims of innovation and economic feasibility.

In any case, once again, the core NoKoin team claims to not advocate for blind belief in the project but will gladly ban and censor anyone who dares to criticize or expose them, at the same time heavily relying on meaningless marketing talk to evade the undelivered promises and unproven innovations. They claim they would rather be judged by the on-going developments. Maybe the rationale is that since there has been no developments so far, maybe they assume there will also be no judgements??

In case you are wondering why we call it NoKoin here

TibanneCat, I'm with imbladednow, the meme was brilliant!! Everyone was cracking up, several Simpsons fans amongst us!! =]

rizzlarolla, aww thanks! We just can't be bothered to waste more time dealing with this ridiculous thing, we've all moved on to researching other coins but I'll still come back once in a while to read the latest twist on NoKoin, it's hilarious!!!

I can almost imagine the scene, Mark Jong Un clutching onto his "Marketing For Dummies" book, reporting to Kaufman
"Mein fuhrer, I have failed you. I tried to ban those who exposed us, but that backfired and I was forced to stop. I placed the ad our team spent months creating, but nobody is paying attention. I am afraid of showing up at bitcointalk so I sent our volunteers, but that didn't work out well either. Even our own investors are starting to loose faith. they're all laughing at us!!! I don't know what else to do"
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NeuCoin - Easy to use, free to try, focused on micropayments - Official on: June 16, 2015, 01:48:08 AM
m3ndi3, it is very disappointing to see you, a programmer, ask who cares about spyware and compare it with a common tracking cookie. google and fb display ads on their websites, when you close it it's gone. On the other hand, Kaufman's spyware would cripple millions of computers with the nonstop pop-up ads, sometimes even exposing children to porn ads. removing it was purposely made nearly impossible for your average user, even computer service guys struggled to clean it off.
Girl, if you think that it was simply a case of having spyware "in one of his programs", clearly you have not read about Direct Revenue. SPYWARE WAS THEIR BUSINESS.

So who cares?? Haven't you read any of the thousands of angry posts online?? Enough people cared to have 3 class-actions and 2 lawsuits moved against Kaufman's company, which eventually caused its demise.
http://www.computerworld.com/article/2539541/security0/hounded-by-spyware-charges--direct-revenue-shuts-down.html

if spyware is not such a sore spot, why would Didi and others be threatened with ban for bringing it up?? We all know the bans slowed down only because they were widely ridiculed here.

if Kaufman thought nobody would care about his spyware involvement, why did he try hide it before???
http://affiliatefairplay.sthetica.com/adware/path-direct-revenue-social-media

why is Kaufman STILL lying about the extent of his involvement, as proved by my last post???
Even worse, according to NBC News, it was Kaufman himself who gave the order "We need to experiment with less user-friendly uninstall methodologies" http://www.nbcnews.com/id/13757388/page/2/#.VX9W_UZSgds [No more Mr. Nice Guy section].

So let's stop mincing words here and call a spade a spade. Those who infect millions of computers with illegal spyware are scumbags. Kaufman and his buddies are bonafide internet scumbags.
If Bernie Maddoff was behind a new altcoin, would that matter? Some would decide to stay away while others would see "value" in the "expertise" that he brings, whatever... but unless his track record is truthfully exposed, those who do object it wouldn't be able to make an informed decision. That is why we care.

one and a half month after presale and absolutely nothing has been accomplished by nokoin, while almost 1 mil in btc are held by an anonymous Seychelles company, folks are still struggling to receive their coins for filling the darn surveys.. while running away with the money seems unlikely, time will tell if nokoin amounts to anything beyond a calculated pump n dump. so far the signs are not promising and I'm done wasting time with this nonsense
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NeuCoin - Easy to use, free to try, focused on micropayments - Official on: June 09, 2015, 05:16:34 PM
Okay, you have good arguments here, NoKoin it is.
(OP please adjust the thread title accordingly)

What about the logo can we add a bigger squirrel somewhere, maybe on the shoulder?
I think the corporate identity gets kind of lost if it's only visible on the tiny button.
Maybe a change in color would also help, ... but we should first collect another round of BTC from "early investors", you know maybe sell some more peanuts for a lot of money...

LiQio, maybe you'll like this version better

After reading more on the Direct Revenue lawsuits, here's what we found

1] Despite Kaufman trying to deny his involvement, his own emails confirm he was well aware of his company's unsavory business practices
http://www.benedelman.org/spyware/nyag-dr/e90.pdf
http://www.benedelman.org/spyware/nyag-dr/e91.pdf

2] Beside Kaufman, 3 others who were heavily involved in Direct Revenue's operations are part of nokoin as strategic angels = Josh Abram, Alan Murray, Josh Engroff
http://www.benedelman.org/spyware/nyag-dr/e3.pdf
http://www.neucoin.org/en/wiki/#angels
Notice that their roles at Direct Revenue are conveniently left out on nokoin's introduction. We would not be surprised if more people from the original Direct Revenue crew are involved in this.

3] Some interesting court exhibits, including internal emails
http://www.benedelman.org/spyware/nyag-dr/e5.pdf - User complaints and threats, and Direct Revenue's responses (including jokes).
http://www.benedelman.org/spyware/nyag-dr/e50.pdf - Email from Dave Methvin of PC Pitstop regarding Direct Revenue distributed with child porn.
http://www.benedelman.org/spyware/nyag-dr/e58.pdf - June 2005 tests of major antispyware and antivirus programs, to determine their treatment of Direct Revenue software.
http://www.benedelman.org/spyware/nyag-dr/e66.pdf - Reports substantial revenues from "taking over" Internet Explorer's search panel.
http://www.benedelman.org/spyware/nyag-dr/e68.pdf - Correspondence with Hitwise staff regarding data collection from non-US users. Hitwise describes Direct Revenue's efforts as yielding "good match rates" and says Direct revenue's "mining efforts are certainly working." For Australia alone, Hitwise reports that Direct Revenue data includes more than 30,000 user IDs, 14,000 gender records, and 8,000 phone numbers.
http://www.benedelman.org/spyware/nyag-dr/e71.pdf - Email messages regarding ad frequency and user complaints. Doman writes that "we are serving WAY TOO MANY pops per hour" which "drive(s) users to get us the hell of(f) their machine."
http://www.benedelman.org/spyware/nyag-dr/e80.pdf - Email correspondence with a ten-inc.com staff person, who requests "a newer, more stealthier version" of Direct Revenue software. Direct Revenue staff reply by offering "a very stealthy version" which, they say, "will not be caught."
http://www.benedelman.org/spyware/nyag-dr/e114.pdf - States that Direct Revenue will allow its partners to reinstall its software daily, even if a user has removed the software using an anti-spyware program or other method, so long as the user's disk does not indicate the use of the official (MyPCTuneup) removal method. Claims that "our EULA allows for it." Suggests that this "will buy some time until a new tougher / more stealthy app comes out."
http://www.benedelman.org/spyware/nyag-dr/e117.pdf - Instructs immediate removal from the Control Panel Add/Remove list because "insane" numbers of users were turning to that feature to remove Direct Revenue software.
More exhibits available at http://www.benedelman.org/spyware/nyag-dr/

it has been said that the two targets of NoKoin are "tipping" and "ad removal", we wonder if by "ad removal" they plan to once again infect millions of computers with spyware then charge nokoins for removal??!
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NeuCoin - Easy to use, free to try, focused on micropayments - Official on: June 03, 2015, 05:37:00 AM
Hey, this is Kim - interesting to see that rizzlarolla and others have been following what has happened to me at the neucoin forum.
As some background info: our company [a well known financial institution] has been looking into cryptocurrency and an altcoin discussion group was recently created, from where I learned about neucoin. My coworker and I decided to fill out the survey, which we put a reasonable amount of thought and time into. Well, what happened next everybody can read by themselves...

After discussing what happened with our altcoin group, I found out 4 others had also filled out the survey yet only one got an email confirming coins would be awarded [he had to ask for it too, the others just didn't bother]. This person happens to be an old time neucoin forum member and bought during presale - maybe that made them more inclined to award him the promised coins. So to answer peter378: don't bother, your time is worth more than this nonsense. Even the old timer confessed he's dismayed over the recent crackdown and lack of real developments since presale. Neucoin has been taken off our list and has become the inside joke.

From what I've been told, seems that Sandrine actually kept the neucoin forum friendly and open before. Things started to turn ugly when "marketing expert" Mark took over control and started acting like the next Kim Jong Un. Stating that "harshing on my buzz, dude" as part of the official reason for banning someone just gives an idea of the level of professionalism and maturity we can expect from him.

Whistle-blowers are being silenced from the neucoin forum and several of their posts deleted. Don't bother to join unless you are ready to shout "Heil Kaufman". Some of the unforgivable offenses were:
- exposing the anonymous Seychelles company and blue sky laws [Gekko4631]
- exposing neucoin placing advertisements with known scammer Josh Garza [Jeff23]
- exposing Kaufman's previous company's lawsuits related to unlawful spyware practices. [NomadBR]
- advocating for freedom of speech? ouch! [gurkin]
There are others in the banned list for murky reasons and I couldn't care less if I'm next.

For those of you who know what you are doing, we think there might be an interesting opportunity for a quick buck here if you jump in at the start, just don't get in for the long run as there won't be one. With a spyware crook founder and a despotic Pyongyang-trained marketing "dude" commanding a few fanboys who want to "decapitate" those who complain, this sounds more like a cryptoparody along the lines of "The Interview". The fellas at our marketing department liked LiQio's idea of renaming the coin to Totcoin, but thought that NoKoin would be more appropriate for the North Korean-esque totalitarian antics. Supreme leader approved!!!
