Well I am looking to get something small like a USB miner... Although I'm not sure which one to get and what coin to mine. As I said it's only going to be a hobby and I don't expect a huge profit although a profit is always nice... Don't really want to spend anymore than say $100 on one.

Hello all,

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to the mining side of Crypto.

I was looking at purchasing a used Bitmain Antminer U1, just to dabble my hand in the world of mining really, although it's always good to make some sort of profit.

The USB miner has an average 1.6/2ghz of mining power, I've used a Bitcoin Mining calculator to see how much profit would be in it, and it's just cents/pennies so no point...

What would be a good coin to mine using this type of miner? Just to make a small profit as a hobby/project?

Thanks for all advice/help in advance.

Oh really, wow. The company sounds like a complete con... Would you recommend anywhere else or Cloud Mining or is there no profit in any of them?

So I've just decided to buy a very small amount of hashing power from HashFlare. I purchased 0.5MH/s for around $11 USD. I'm expected to make a $7.86 a year... so that's already a $3 USD loss? What the heck is the point? Am I missing something here??

Thank you for the quick reply... Is it possible to earn bitcoins running different software?

Hello all,

I have installed on my super fast server Bitcoin Core I believe this is called a 'Node'.

Do you get rewarded with Bitcoins for running this? If so how...

Many Thanks,

Hello,

Is there any point in me buying a bitcoin miner or not?

The amount of power it uses is not an issue as I do not pay for power.

I am not looking to spend a lot on it can anyone suggest any?

Budget: $200 and looking to mine whatever coin would make the most money and is the most stable? Probably BTC right?
