1  Economy / Exchanges / AUSTRALIA: Anyone else having withdrawal delays from btcmarkets.net? on: February 08, 2016, 01:09:02 AM
Submitted a withdrawal request yesterday evening for btc. I think for larger withdrawals they manually approve them, and given it was a sunday evening I would assume admin staff would be less available.

Anyways, its now midday on a monday, and my Bitcoin withdrawal still hasnt been processed. I have emailed and tweeted to them - generally they are pretty quick to respond but havent heard a peep from them.

Anyone else having issues?

Update:

After reporting igots account to commonwealth bank, Fair Trading and the police, I can confirm my money has been returned. Goes to show if you kick and scream loud enough you get your way in the end. If anyone else is having issues with recovering funds please contact me on bitcoin.babeau@gmail.com and I can put you onto the right channels and people.

All the best to you all. Especially igot_user_03773356. Please keep me in the loop. I know it sucks to lose a lot of money and I would love to help you (and others) any way I can.

Curious to know how many people have filed a complaint with Fair Trading?

A new account may only mean that having a problem and wondering whom to turn to for advice, they came here.  I can assure you, I created my account here on bitcointalk many years ago. I pop in from time to time to read comments.

I'm in the middle of an Igot nightmare with what, to me, is a large amount of money that now seems to have disappeared into thin air almost a month after I first tried to withdraw it.  I know how the other posters feel and have also had the bizarre, contradictory messages from Julie.

I am an older member.  I've been emailing Dan as per his suggestion since April 20th, and while he may be polite and responds quickly, it still doesn't change the appalling experience you can expect from Igot.

2 new accounts created claiming they got scammed by igot.com, why no older member claims this only newly registred users?

The same happened to me. I could withdraw some fiat about a month ago. Then order BTC withdraw and some more fiat, but since more than 3 weeks they have not executed these orders. Yes, Dan answers the e-mails, but the guy has no power, he is just some sort of psychologist, a if we need therapy. Nooooooo! what we need is just our money. Mark from support and others said that by Monday, tomorrow 8/6/2015, the bank account in Australia will be unblocked, and able to send fiat. As per them, it was blocked because of a fraudulent transaction (?), but what a coincidence that the platform was also upgrading (?). If they do not resume their services normally, we should complaint to the respective Australian authorities (Department of Fair Trading, Police, Commonwealth Bank). Check this: http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/ftw/About_us/Contact_us.page?

I highly doubt their commonwealth bank account has been blocked. I am a commonwealth bank customer and I sent funds to their account last week no issues. if the account was under investigation then the money would have been bounced back into my account, or I would have received a call from their fraud department alerting me to the situation. I would say its all story telling and delay tactics.

I'm not waiting, I filed my report with the department of fair trading. I would suggest others do the same as soon as possible.

Theyve told me via support ticket now that my Bitcoin withdrawal will be processed monday.. If it isnt I will be perusing avenues with the Australian authorities as they are an Australian registered business (Department of Fair Trading, Police, Commonwealth Bank). I would recommend everyone do the same.

Just made an account to reply to this thread.. I am waiting on a 20BTC withdrawal from igot which has been pending for over a day now.. I wrote in on their facebook page and was directed to send in a support ticket so I did... It has now been over 12 hours and still no response.. the iGot page manager told me I submitted the support ticket in the "wrong section" but wont tell me where the "right section" is. Now after reading this it is certainly starting to sound suspicious.

The banking information given is relation to a company called "13th Pty Ltd" Could be worth looking up on the Australian Business Register as they do need to provide an address and contact number.

Hi, my outstanding cash payments are equivalent to 100BTC, and I have been waiting for more than 30 days for the cash to arrive. I feel for you, but there's nothing you can do but to keep chasing them for your payments/BTCs. They had again promised to refund my cash by the end of this week, but as expected, it's another huge disappointment and I received nothing. The company cannot be trusted.

Here are the email addresses of igot staff. The founder is Rick Day:
Rick Day <rick@igot.com>, julia@igot.com, Daniel Palmer <dan@igot.com>, Amit@igot.com, Vignesh Raja <Vignesh@igot.com>

Update (as of 5 June):
  • Two payments pending. Oldest pending since more than 30 days back.

I just got a support ticket back from Julie with the following:

Quote
Thank you for your email.
Due to ongoing upgrade, we will not be able to process this until Monday.

If you want, we can reverse the transactions and send your money back to your bank account?

Regards,

Julie

I responded with:

Will the fiat be quicker to receive than the bitcoin? Because I have been talking to customers who say they havent been paid their fiat in almost a month!

Considering I just sent them $6k @igot_user_03773356 and youve sent them 100btc, I dont see what the hold up is... sounds like a simple swap to me.. But hey, If you ever wanna trade  igot_user_03773356 and take out the slow as hell middle man I'll be more than happy to  Wink
