If you don't mind getting verified, solidi.co is quite good for sellers in my opinion. Verification took about a day if I recall correctly.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] What Hardware and Software do you use to mine the MONERO XMR on: September 06, 2016, 01:50:25 PM
Just moved into a new flat and electricity's free for a few weeks so I'm running ccminer on a Gigabyte GTX 770 OC which yields a measly 0.25khs. Also using the spare CPU cycles on a dedicated box in a datacentre with minerd which adds another 0.15khs. In total, this could actually cover the cost of the dedibox at the end of the month, not that bad when you think about it.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What wallets do you use and why? on: August 08, 2016, 04:43:12 PM
I've just got myself a Ledger Nano S and it's pretty amazing. It's safer than keeping my private keys on a hard/USB drive as all transactions need to be approved by the device. Initialisation (mnemonic seed and PIN setup) takes place on the device itself. Jaxx integration would be great but the default Ledger Chrome apps are pretty good too. Another welcome improvement would be to allow more complex PINs as it currently allows a four digit one only (but the device resets itself after three incorrect attempts). Ah, it works with ethereum as well as bitcoin - I'm really impresed.

nope but I used to pay 0.5BTC for a month's VPN service back in the day. I'm still sore thinking about it   Sad
7  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopay Bitcoin Debit card + Giveaway on: June 09, 2016, 05:14:09 PM
Has anybody actually used the card and loaded it, how long does it take to load is it instant? is there a delay, any reviews on the whole process?

I've loaded it with a small amount of bitcoin and it was very quick. The registration process was also very straightforward but I haven't gone through verification yet. Their site looks well designed to me. The only problem is that a similar card I'm also trying allows top ups of unverified accounts by payeer and okpay and that's why I might end up using that other card rather than cryptopay.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin or Ethereum or Dogecoin on: June 09, 2016, 05:07:41 PM
My understanding is that it's still posible to make a profit from mining ETH with your own equipment. The same can't be said for BTC. DOGE is a joke as others have said. With the current price levels, it may also be possible to make a profit from mining DASH.

10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Status of Bitcoin and PayPal? on: June 09, 2016, 04:32:47 PM
If they get the slightest inkling that you are dealing in bitcoins, they'll limit your account for 180 days. At least, that's what happened to my account.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: June 09, 2016, 09:51:39 AM
The time it takes to confirm transactions - even with a generous fee, it can take well over half an hour to get a few confirmations. I can't see how bitcoins are supposed to replace fiat for small transactions to be honest.

How do I remove unwanted coins from the first page. Cannot find a delete function...

There is a delete option in the coin view itself. Just click on the coin you want to get rid of and use the wastebin icon on the upper right side.

This is probably the most used app on my phone. Very well done.

I might be heading for redundancy later this year and I'm not doing much to avoid it. I reckon, subconsciously, crypto trading could be a better option than my day job. I guess I'll find out soon enough  Undecided

Well if you think crypto trading is better than your day job. It's up to you and it depends on how you really badly need big earnings, it is
essential to everyone of us to have good earnings. But why not do it at the same so that you can max out your earning.

Very true, I'd rather do both but the reason I may be without a day job soon is because I spend far too much time managing my portfolio and reading crypto forums at the office. It doesn't escape my managers' attention Grin

19  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still believe in bitcoin on: June 04, 2016, 06:59:08 PM
absolutely. btc has come a long way in proving its value and reliability. to my mind, it's something like the gold standard in cryptocurrencies.
You should keep that thought in your mind if you really want to benefit from bitcoin. you must continue to believe, even if the price is low. bitcoin certainly has a very good future, and I predict it will be anything fancy someday, so keep looking for bitcoin and still believe, as I did up until today

I'm running four virtual private servers at the moment and paying for all of them with bitcoin. I've also bought the odd meal, coffee etc. with bitcoin but I don't really use it offline.
What are you running on the VPS?

Ah, just realised I read your question wrong. I'm running openvpn, owncloud and postfix servers for friends and family. Also, keeping one as my personal Arch playground / experimentation area.
