I am restarting my fun project with BCH (due to the lower transaction fees):

https://thelifeofbchfish.wordpress.com/

It is a fun project where i will add (with the donated money) continously interaction possibilities  Grin

First thing is the "bubbler"
-> next will be a feeding machine etc...

looking forward for your feedback  Grin Grin Grin

HAHA  Cool Grin Grin - just closed the window behind - it was very disturbing Tongue
Awesome man Smiley I used to have a fish tank too and when I go for holidays the poor fish starve Sad This makes me want to have one feeder like yours hehe. Just wondering, did you make that yourself, and how did you make it auto feed when the btc balance increase? Waiting to see the new fish!

If it blures out, try another pc/phone (i dont know why - but it youtube stream blure out on my ipad...)

yes there are MANY easy options to realize something like that:
if you want to make it very robust and with an arduino take something like that:
https://github.com/fluentart/BitRobot

however, i switched to a raspberry pi - since it also is capable to stream videos. The quality is just related to your internet upload  Tongue
if you need support/source - just contact me

to the second question: i usually just check the balance on my phone - if nobody feed it - ill do it for my own (like the last 3 days  Grin Grin)
it is just the stream - that is not THAT stable (i think its related to my poor internet)

Just fed it, but I can't seem to see clearly. Tongue Sometimes it turns out clear, but sometimes it lags and everything blurs out. I guess it's difficult to livestream. If it is possible, can you give a notification when the BTC is received and when the food is dropped in the tank? A recording function would be nice too! Grin

Really amazed and curious on how it works. Saw your thumbs up too hahaha! Hope to see the tank grow and more fishes in it! Cheesy

Seems offline.
Possibly because of holidays?
It seems like a nice and creative idea for a project, but as long as i haven't seen it,
it's hard to tell what to expect from it.
it's working fine now also it does not have many informations so that server go down on him i think maybe there is problem in the internet
obviously my raspi was not stable enough for livestream - now online again - hope it works now

Anyone knows how to make something like that public?
Beside reddit, is there any better way to get attention?

If it is going well i will upgrade it significantly + i am already thinking about "feed the chicken  Grin" -> since i have some  Cool Cool

1mBTC for feeding a fish, that kinda funny and some kind of waste of money.
But what makes it better is, you use the money to send it to a donation. Smiley
You should add an option to adding a new fish by sending more Bitcoin Wink

actually i deleted the if(inc>=1mBTC) feed;
ATM you can send satoshies too -> i just wanted to prevent overfed in the first place Tongue
14  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BTC-Fish on: December 16, 2015, 01:10:47 PM
This is a nice project but why hosted on wordpress, i think this would have been better if OP setup everything on the domain name http://www.btcbigfish.com
FOR SURE - if it is more or less successful Smiley
I am also thinking on underwater streaming etc  Cool -> so you actually see the feeding VERY good!
However, as the "users" have decreased significantly after the initialization post (last usage yesterday) i am not sure about it Tongue

20  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Hardware requirements on: November 13, 2015, 08:35:31 PM
Hi,
There are two sorts of hardware for BTC Mining chips (21inc) and security chips (e.g. ledger wallet)

Mining chips have to improve their processes - e.g. 14nm - to be more and more energy efficient.

There is no big deal with state of the art security chips… its all state of the art crypto… well the random generator should be as good as possible… However, what do you think should be improved for this type of hardware (e.g. ledger wallet (smartcard chip))? Huh Huh

Best regards
