4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Amazing Vintage Slot Machines on: March 31, 2024, 08:00:44 AM
As far as I know, before a physical slot machine will be used in actual live gambling, there are checking and auditing on how that machine works, and the casino or the one involved in creating the machine has to explain the whole mechanism of its winning rate or we can call it similar to RTP in the modern slot.

That goes on vintage slot machines but as always, the machine was designed to give casinos more profit compared to what users can take home, as that was what gambling is supposed to be. I hope we can find details on how the random algorithm works on vintage slot machines or how it follows a random result.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing poker online better than offline? on: March 31, 2024, 07:29:29 AM
I'm not good at hiding it, sometime when I have double AS, I always all in at the beginning.

You don't need to practice hiding if you are not comfortable with it. On the other hand, you also don't need to practice knowing what's their card per round. Focus on your own way to come out a winner every round. In every round, you will encounter lots of strategies that your opponent can use against you, take note of those and use them on your own if you think that's applicable.

It's better to play poker online, against real players, than offline playing against a programmed opponent. You can maximize your skills if you are up against a real human and the pressure is there if you play online whereas offline, you will just feel comfortable and relaxed.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 30, 2024, 09:01:54 PM
It's very silent here,.. what's new for the PBA?

The PBA is currently on Holy Week break too that's why the thread is silent. Cheesy

Anyway, the game will resume later, Easter Sunday, with a doubleheader between:

Phoenix FuelMasters vs San Miguel Beermen
Magnolia Hotshots vs Brgy. Ginebra

I'm expecting a big crowd at the Big Dome later on as it's the classic Manila Clasico in the 2nd game.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we help beginners not to get addicted on: March 30, 2024, 08:32:32 PM
I think there's no way how we can help beginners not to get addicted because that was a self-decision. The moment they enter the gambling, they should experience everything from winning to losing and the effect on it on their mental aspects. These are the factors that will help them decide if they will continue gambling or not.

If they will engage in gambling, only them will able to help themselves and not get being addicted on the way.

If we talk about not getting 100% addicted then discourage them from starting gambling at all.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poll: Games of sSkill or Games of Luck on: March 30, 2024, 08:18:37 PM
I preferred both. It's a matter of self-preference.

Either way, there's no doubt that both of those need luck - even skill-based games.

Though the difference is, that there are sort of ways to increase our winning chance at skill-based games rather than relying purely on luck on luck-based games. It's somehow boring to me if I just keep gambling on one of them. Since I can also take advantage of my skills in such skill-based games, why not use that as another way to increase my chances of winning
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How about your experience in taking part in the same bet with friends? on: March 28, 2024, 09:04:55 PM
Have any of you had any such feelings?

Is there less human pressure if gambling is conducted in the same place with friends?

Whether gambling alone or with my friends, that should have no big difference, at least in my own experience.

If you can't handle the loss that much, it's good to practice that behavior from now on without involving your friends. In gambling, a feeling like that is just a distraction since if you are being affected when losing, to the point, you feel much more comfortable if it's not just you lose but also your friends, might affect your ability to decide what's the best pick since you are a bit afraid or worried that you might not hit the right prediction.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does affilate programs work in casinos? on: March 28, 2024, 08:06:24 PM
Am curious right now, to know how does affiliates program work in gambling. I know gambling is big niche and they also run affiliate programs, so anyhow have an idea?

For an exact answer and not a general response, you need to check the Affiliate Program of each casino on their site.

Most gambling sites do have a certain page on their website about that program.

They have all the details on how to become a part of their affiliate program and how much revenue you can get. There might also be a special program where if a person is a verified influencer or a big person in the affiliate market, a special offer will be given.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still truly achieve anonymous gambling in crypto? on: March 24, 2024, 09:09:54 PM
Crypto has been known for anonymity. During the early stage, we like to promote it using the words "decentralized" and "anonymous ", and it's the main reason why a lot of gamblers have chosen to gamble using crypto to gain full privacy, but it seems like things have really change a lot now as gamblers are looking for a casino that are licensed while some casinos who promotes anonymous gambling eventually act like a fiat casino that requires KYC.

What do you think about this one, where is are we heading? And can we still consider crypto casino different from fiat casino?

As long as you are dealing with a centralized gambling platform in crypto-gambling, don't expect full anonymity.

Even as much as how centralized gambling wants full privacy for their users, the regulations are hitting them hard and as part of their business to run legit, they need to comply with everything and users will also have to deal with it.

I don't mind anything about anonymity in my crypto-gambling since what for? As long I'm dealing with a reputable crypto-gambling platform, I don't mind complying with their KYC, of course as long as also it's not annoying and shouldn't be asked for small withdrawals.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Always check the deposit address on: March 24, 2024, 08:23:13 PM
What a bad timing indeed. Honestly, there was no problem at all on the side of OP, regardless of whether he was using a casino address or from any wallet since he always checked the deposit address no matter what when doing a deposit transaction.

It's just that when the expected funds arrived that deposit address got updated a while ago.

A bad timing and the site should not keep OP hanging on that problem. Usually, even if it was sent to the former address, the funds should still be received by OP since there should be at least a period before the former address will be completely unlinked to the OP's deposit address on that platform.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your take? on: March 23, 2024, 06:32:51 PM
Straight to the point most people are afraid of compiling big odds and now decide to go for lower odds with huge staking power which is not even guaranteed to give the predicted results. For example, there could be a match between Newcastle VS Tottenham Hotspur and both teams are having 1.5 and 1.3 odds respectively, a gambler may decide to bet only on Tottenham to straight win by only selecting this one game on his slip, what is your take on this kind of gambling, risking bigger money on some low odds with a small potential win and still the possibility of your pick to win is not even certain.

I doubt these people you are referring to are afraid. It's a matter of hesitation and stuck between the lines.

Actually, what you mentioned generally depends on the bettor's preference. There was no right pick until you knew the result.

How to know the result then? Be 100% with what you really think and wait for the result.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can bring positivity and light into people's lives on: March 23, 2024, 06:07:43 PM
4.Supporting Charitable Causes: Many gambling activities, such as charity poker tournaments or raffles, are organized to support various charitable causes. Participating in these events allows individuals to enjoy gambling
while also contributing to the betterment of society. Winning in such contexts not only brings joy to the individual but also benefits those in need, thereby spreading positivity within communities.

This mostly applied to government-backed gambling platforms. National lottery is a big example.

Still, the majority of casinos are owned by private entities.

Even though it's not new that there might be corrupt officials working in the dark behind government-backed platforms, I believe there are still good officials that true to their work, and the proceeds, for example, national lotteries, are helping to support the government to build infrastructures and national buildings, continuous support to poor, enhancing roads etc.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does pragmatic play bonus buy really worth it? on: March 23, 2024, 03:10:40 PM
As an online slot game enthusiast for many years, I conclude that most Pragmatic Games bonus features are overrated! Aside from the difficulty for the bonus feature to pop out in-game, even if you bought their bonus feature, the winning return is so crap! Not worth and the PP game provider is just hype. No offense to their pure fanatics as that's my view.

I know to myself that buy bonus is obviously still a game of luck and just skipping a long time waiting for the feature to come out. But experiencing already several times those different bonus features at different game providers, I can't include Pragmatic Games as one with the worthy bonus not unless you hit the insane multipliers which is far from realistic.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: March 22, 2024, 10:17:32 PM
LOL, but yeah, I think majority here are buying tickets or wanted to watch the fight and see Jake Paul demolished by Mike Tyson in just one punch.

Yes, that make sense lol. People will watch the fight because it's either:

- they want to see Jake Paul being beaten badly
- they want to see the legend Mike Tyson fighting again

But I doubt as the co-founder of the promotional company who organized this event together with Netflix, it's impossible to think that Jake Paul will be allowed to be beaten badly. The only time we can expect Jake Paul to end up beaten badly is, if he will face a real boxer on the same weight class and the fight must be sanction as a professional fight.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where is the fun when you lose your money? on: March 22, 2024, 10:07:24 PM
Since you already mentioned that there might be agree or disagree on what you have said then let's not make the discussion too deep.

If there are people who treats gambling for fun even they are losing money consistently, then let them be like that that.

On the other hand, if there are people who cares for every cents they risks and losing is not their priority, then let them be like that as well.

Gamblers have different perspective after all on how they treat gambling.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypo Casino Virtual Scatch Offs - Idea on: March 17, 2024, 11:52:15 AM
How can you describe the fairness system and random algorithms that will apply to these games?

I think the virtual version of scratch card games doesn't have much interest because more people tend to play instead of the usual online slot games as in the end, the winning chance and probability aren't that much different and payouts in slots are more appealing, especially with features like scatters and free spins that can be triggered while playing the game, unlike a simple scratch on cards.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake on a potential(obvious) loosing team just for love? on: March 16, 2024, 06:38:12 PM
It can't be avoided by those people who have been following their favorite team since then, even before the start of their gambling journey. I have also been in the same situation many times where regardless of the odds, I need to bet on my favorite team even if the chances of losing are high.

The good thing about that is, if my favorite team is the underdog expect that the odds for the Moneyline to them is high.

If they were able to upset the opposing team, expect a juicy winning in return.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Scratch Offs on: March 16, 2024, 06:10:26 PM
Here is a fun question: What is the most you have ever won off of a scratch off ticket? What brand ticket was it?

I don't find scratch cards as interesting and worthy of spending with even if does have a cheap price. The prize reward is only limited and it was only distributed in certain places. For example, there are 1,000 quantities of $1 prize, 500 quantities of $5 prize, and so on at some specific location.

As a business mindset, the location where it always established more and bigger sales will have few quantities of a much larger price. Anyways, don't be serious on the number figures I mentioned. It's just an example but the real and accurate numbers is larger than that.
