2  Bitcoin / Mining / What type of miner do you use? on: July 20, 2015, 11:24:56 PM
I was just wondering what company everyone likes to back?

I myself have only had Bitman Antminers S3, S4, and S5 I like them they are reliable once I have them set and running they are pretty much worry free. But I was thinking about branching out and seeing if anything else works for me.

So what does everyone else like and why?

what I was saying was he would have to find them at that price to earn the BTC he wanted and only spend $200

the only one that comes close would be the S1 you can find them on craigslist for around $30

to get 0.3BTC a month you would roughly need 1000GH/s at current difficulty

that being said and efficiency not being a factor your quest to find miners for $200:

6 antminer S1 = 1080GH/s ~ 0.319BTC/month you would have to find them for ~$34/each
3 antminer S3 = 1323GH/s ~ 0.390BTC/month you would have to find them for ~$67/each
1 antminer S2 = 1000GH/s ~ 0.295BTC/month you would have to find it for $200

Now that is without psu's

as far as noise the S3 is the quietest of the 3 and produces the least amount of heat but finding them for that price will be hard to do

with power cost at zero leaves only questions about noise and heat, if that doest matter either you can pick up a handful of S1s cheap

also as far as power supply i really like the dell 750w from gekko science you can get the whole kit for $50

6  Bitcoin / Hardware / S5 stops hashing on: July 18, 2015, 03:29:59 AM
I have 3 antminer S5s and 1 S4 and atleast once a day one of the S5s will just stop hashing and when I log into it and click on status it will not go threw so I have to reboot the miner.  All three of them are running the latest firmware and not overclocked ever.  Anyone else have this problem?  Or know how to correct this problem?

Thanks in advance.
