Ripples were going up steadily until a couple of days ago and now going down in value.

I agree that 6 is a little excessive...especially because that can take a couple of hours sometimes, it seems.

You can sort of do this with VirWox. You can add up to $65 with Paypal with a new account and then buy Linden Dollars with it and then use those to buy BTC. And then transfer those Bitcoin out of there. It is a big hassle and has a lot of transaction fees though.

Yes this part is a hassle and I'm trying to figure out the best way to do it myself. I think Bitstamp is the best way to do in Europe but I'm not sure how to do it in the USA. I could go with Mt Gox to Dwolla but takes a lot of verification and such.

Chartist and technical analysis is not voodoo at all. They predicted what happened with the bubble PERFECTLY. The bubble popped and BTC dropped 85% in about a day or two. Anyway I am surprised that it is back up to 130 now but I think it will probably drift down to $40 or $50 again after another smaller mini bubble or two. I think some new money is still pouring in but we'll see what happens.

Ha that is a fun calculation. I do wonder what the max price of bitcoins that we will see in our lifetimes. It should be very interesting to see how it turns out, to say the least.
