Mark's explanation makes sense. Thanks.

This is much much better than saying nothing about withdrawals in section of press release titled "Deposits and Withdrawals".
I agree, it was missing. Being open about things is much better. Thanks.
3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon F/W for inverted PWM fans on: July 15, 2013, 12:05:17 AM
Do you use your avalon with the  TFC1212DE-SP07 to get it cooler or to have the same temp but maybe more quiet ?

the woman who wrote this post wrote a 100 page masters thesis at KTH on this topic, it is published online.

i will see if I can find it again tomorrow, unfortunately the laptop where it is downloaded has suffered from a broken power cord on friday
Good find prophetx, didnt know that. I did some searching and it is this one (only the information page, link to the pdf is at the bottom):

5  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: VirtualCL / 2x Quad HD 7990 on: July 05, 2013, 04:20:23 PM
May I ask what kind of openCL computations you are doing ? I think it can be better with 3x3 GPUs if it doesnt hurt virtualCL, The worker machines can be automatic configured, maybe you already doing that.
6  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: VirtualCL / 2x Quad HD 7990 on: July 05, 2013, 04:14:06 PM
Looks like water cooling is the way to go. Expecting the cards and chassis to come in somewhere next week. Got a very detailed e-mail from EK with their products which also mention the full cover 7990's so will look into that and puzzle it together so the cards, chassis and hopefully the water cooling products arrive at the same time.

Also did put in a secondary PSU to make sure I do not run into power issues when the four 7990's are running at max speed.

Regarding the liquids to use, i see they have copper and nickel plates, any advice there what to use in combination with what liquid?
Just a heads up for a second PSU, be a little careful if you run nr 2 out of the loop (by that I mean the PSUs doenst start stop together). Example if PSU nr 1 stops system goes down, everything ok.
If PSU nr 2 stops and its only providing power to the cards, then they will try to get as much as they can from PSU nr 1 and from the MB. In my test case it the cards fans start spinning weird and overall doesnt fell good. Hasnt checked how the mining changed. Felt a need to close the test rather quick. This was with a couple of 6950, with even more powerful cards there can be sideeffects. I would say that 3-4 doubleGPUs is a more bumpy ride.

Nicely stacked, dont recognice the heatsinks. What brand are these ? What rpm on the fans ?
Brand on the heatsinks ? Are these orgininal or a ztex clone ?

kong2029:

To ensure that im the real one i sign a unique message for the batch 1 groupbuy address. It has to be unique because everyone knows the signature for my username on batch 1 address already. (I didnt thought about that before so stopped it now. You should demand unique messages from anyone claiming to be me so no one can use a signature he found somewhere on the forum) So here it is:

Address:
Code:

You can check it here: http://brainwallet.org/?vrMsg=sf#verify
Wasnt that easy to find the orginal batch1 address for the check, found it at last at this link:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=187663.msg2239791#msg2239791

Of course everything seems ok, but I agree with Sebastian that if one can check and he's made an effort for it, why not.

Made payment now.

I think this this are the winners. Please post someting if you see a mistake. I am not 100% that this right because i'm veeerrryyy tired now.
Code:
Name       	Avalons	Price	Total BTC	Batch
Marci89      100 0,19 19         1
ph111      128 0,18 23,04        1
oexaca      5 0,18 0,9            1
m5            20 0,18 3,6            1
badalien    100 0,18 18            1
uudiman    222 0,18 39,96        1=139 2=83
kong2029 16 0,2 3,2            2

Total        591

Im obviously bad at this, so now Im short at chips. I will offer anyone above me 0.03 btc per chip if I can reach 240 or 320  and they let go of their spot. So 3 btc per 100 chip. I need to be at 320 or 240 for that matter.

This is good news, bad for redhat though  Smiley Congrats Jeff, I remember when I first heard of bitcoin, surely it was innovative, but still. Then I saw some names from the linux scene and I knew it was time for some serious reading.  Never looked back.
