1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: November 30, 2016, 04:16:39 PM
Trying to choose which delegates I should vote for is proving to be a daunting and messy process.

I've found myself sifting through an overwhelming amount of info from this forum (bitcointalk.org) and others such as lisk.chat, lisk.io, forum.lisk.io, github.com, reddit.com (r/lisk, r/liskmarkets, r/liskdelegates), explorer.lisk.io, login.lisk.io, faucet.lisk.io, blog.lisk.io and academy.lisk.io. This is all disorganized and a pain in the rump. There is no effective way go about this. I'm disappointing with Lisk's efforts on this. Unfortunately, the delegate proposals are presented in varying styles and formats making apples-to-apples comparisons impossible. Many are outdated or incomplete so I have to click through multiple pages of each proposal in search of the full story. There are way too many inter-delegate posts stating "I'll vote for you if you vote for me". There looks to be 800+ delegate hopefuls. And holy cow, selecting the delegates via the https://login.lisk.io/delegates takes forever! Why is there no search function?

After all that reading I'm not even sure what voting strategy I should employ. Each delegate hopeful offers their own unique strategy of how they will run their operation. It's hard to know what is best because "best" is a user specific definition depending on personal preferences.

I have over 50k LSK. I want to to put it to good use. Should I vote for the delegates who say they are best for the Lisk ecosystem or for those who share their forging rewards? Dunno, it's hard to say.

Is anyone else finding this voting experience to be an unpleasant one?

So much donwward pressure on price the past few days Huh

The nxt price on Polo right now of 3,625 satoshi's is a shocker. It can't go much lower, right? Right? It's like nobody knows or cares about what is happening with the nxt "relaunch". IMO, it seems like a real disconnect from what I think ardor will be and what others are valuing it at. Such a surprise.

Is it possible that some current nxt holders are unaware of the upcoming conversion to nxt/ARDR/fnx? Seems unlikely they couldn't know. On the other hand, maybe I'm the crazy one?

LOL... what i collect from this ANN thread...

Dev was a scammer and stole ICO funds and vanished....

XAI is going to be listed on polo

XAI also listing on nasdaq.....

HA... Oh yeah the project is essentially skynet 0.1... not even a fully fledged T3000 CAD model produced? Jesus, the nerve of some people.

Have fun investing in vaporware. Clearly a dead horse being beaten for all its worth.

The comment about Nasdaq was a j/k. But everything else you say sums it up about right. But you need not be so rude.

is it true that $xai going to poloniex?! wow
Not sure about polo but it is going to moon though. 600% increase in a day.

I don't see it on Polo but it's been on Bittrex for a couple of days. The price increases are out of control and with decent volume too. I don't know why any of this is happening.

Can I have multiple targets on a trade?
8  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] SimpleFX.com - forex broker with BTC and LTC crosses and 1:500 leverage on: May 08, 2016, 07:06:05 PM
Does SimpleFX allow single trades seeking multiple targets?

It's my understanding that if I anonymously deposit bitcoin I can anonymously trade that bitcoin against crypto/fiat pairs, i.e. BTC/USD or BTC/EUR. Am i correct or am I limited to trading only pairs like BTC/
LTC if I want to maintain anonymity? Would my withdrawals be only in crypto?

With that bitcoin now on my account, can I also then anonymously trade the fiat/fiat pairs, i.e. EUR/USD, GBP/JPY?

Is SimpleFX properly equipped to handle customer activity during massive worldwide Bitcoin volume, such as the current Bitcoin boom run to $500 USD today? Nobody likes to see their exchange of choice go down when they absolutely need it the most. It can be devastating. Are there industry standards for how exchanges deal with massive volume? If so, do you meet these standards?

A $impleFX representative had an hour long Q&A yesterday on BTCVIX VIX's Whale Club TeamSpeak Server weekly podcast.

It was a pretty good session with a four other man panel. A lot of topics were covered.

11  Bitcoin / Press / [2015-08-27 RedState] How Bitcoin is hostile to property rights on: August 28, 2015, 03:35:40 AM
'Bitcoin is incompatible with freedom under the rule of law.'

http://www.redstate.com/2015/08/27/bitcoin-hostile-property-rights/

The above link is a follow-up to his previous Bitcoin article:
http://www.redstate.com/2015/08/26/time-ban-bitcoin/

I thought his previous article calling for Bitcoin to be banned lacked sufficient justification for a ban considering all the good Bitcoin can do. Not to mention his previous article was a bunch of nonsense. The newest article while making some valid points than the last article, still doesn't rise to banning Bitcoin. It's kind of like, ok, so the property rights issue might not be perfect...and...so what? Don't ban it!

Besides Bitcoin is worldwide with all sorts of countries with different laws. So the U.S. should ban it while the rest of the world adopts it? I don't think that's a good solution.
12  Bitcoin / Press / [2015-09-26 redstate] It's time to ban Bitcoin. on: August 26, 2015, 04:00:50 PM
The criminals have caught on, and it’s now time we considered banning Bitcoin.

13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gemini going live next week on: July 08, 2015, 10:44:51 PM
Back in mid June, OP wondered if Gemini might go live "next week". Unfortunately it didn't.  Does anyone have new info or care to speculate?
