2  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-07-18] ‘Wow’: Ethereum Fees Higher Than Bitcoin’s For First Time Ever on: July 19, 2018, 02:17:08 PM
Ethereum traders were feeling the pressure July 18 after average transaction fees on its network surpassed Bitcoin’s for the first time in history.
Full article on Bitcoinist

I really don't see a "WOW" factor here .
It is a reason of concern and to fear for etherneum . Things like this has happened in the past with bitcoin which led to a number of unconfirmed transactions and high mining fees . The network was conjusted and so was the volume . If this happens with etherneum , there will be a down fall for sure which can still be notices in the market right now . Etherneum needs to cope with this difficulty and must evolve some methods to deal with this .
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to minimize the risk of being scammed. on: July 19, 2018, 02:13:24 PM
After reading their whitepaper then ask yourself these questions:
1. Does the document make sense to you? (Did you get a picture of the whole idea they are talking about?)
2. Is project going to provide any real solution to any problem? (scam projects usually provide vague solutions which normally does not point out the blockchain aspect in it)
3. Is the document having original contents (scam projects usually copy people's work)
4. How old is their official website (most scam projects usually have new websites)
5. What has the team done already towards the project.(scam projects usually do not have any detailed roadmap)
6. Check the team's profile on linkedIn and also their number of connections. (fake ones usually have low and no real connections.)
7. Check the token distribution. Is there equity and equality? (the scam ones usually allocate higher percentages to the team)
8. Did they give any abnormal price speculations? (i joined one bounty(Crestonium) who promised 3 times profit within 6 months else they are going to refund investors monies back to them. They ended up being a scam)

No matter how vigilant you are, you can still get scammed but at least, you can reduce the risk of being scammed. Enjoy your day

This is some serious information here .
But the major concern here is that most of the users who fall for the honey trap are the new and immature users who are just trying their luck here .
If they don't have an idea of how a whitepaper should look and what should it present , they will never be able to judge what is right and what's not in the whitepaper . Moreover , all the ponzi and FOMO hype has worsen the conditions and it is just impossible to be sure about any project . 60% of ICOs that are posted in the bounty fails.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Hunters the cause of token dumping ? on: July 09, 2018, 04:10:40 PM
Bounty hunters are alwasy blame for selling their tokens so quickly without waiting for the project develpment as outline in the roadmap.  I don't think bounty hunters are to blame because a lot of bounty hunters hold their coins for years.

That is somehow true . There are many impatient and immature users and bounty hunters who just sell off their coins when the coin into some exchange .
That is one of the biggest reason of the coin dumping . But this cannot be controlled as the new users are emerging everyday and they are just scared to face the loss so they sell of right away.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has the Crypto currency market stabilized? on: July 09, 2018, 04:08:41 PM
Hello people,

Watched plenty of videos, read lots of articles on this and seems like most experts are in the opinion that the Crypto market has somewhat built stability in the current levels and has more upside potential as opposed to downside.

Is this true?

Maybe it has . Because it has not moves out of its range froma long time now and neither it is showing ahuge dump so we can assume that it has stabilized for some time . There were times when people were wishing for it to get stabilized , but now when it is actually stabilized the people are just making speculations of bitcoin dying .The struggle is real.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's future is DOWN on: July 09, 2018, 04:06:45 PM
All these logistics and speculations must be backed up by some real evidences .
These type of random speculations just results in a widespread of panic and distrust among people in respect to bitcoin . If the future for bitcoin will be down , we will see it for ourselves . Until then , no such statement matters.
9  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-07-09]Crypto Bounty Hunting Is Offering A Way Out of Poverty on: July 09, 2018, 04:01:12 PM
It is definitely a golden opportunity for those who are facing the hardships of poverty and unemployment .
Almost people of all age groups can do this work and it is a very good way of making some side money . I also started it for the smae purpose and
I am still doing it for the same reason.
10  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-06-07] Bitcoin Hype ‘Has Barely Even Begun,’ Says Blockbid COO on: July 09, 2018, 03:59:37 PM
Blockbid COO David Sapper believes the hype surrounding Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is just getting started, and will one day permeate our everyday lives.

Just a statement by another bitcoin lover .
This is true that the hype has just began and the world domination is setting to take place now . Maybe in  a decade or so ,it will be a very effecient alternative to fiat and payments on daily basis.
11  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Belarus has legalized Bitcoin on: July 09, 2018, 02:44:51 PM
This is a great news . It is like a positive thing out of all the bad news that is being surfaced about bitcoin .
I am relieved that atleast some countries are accepting bitcoin and will be using it for their country's better economic advancements .
Where as big names like India and China are pushing it away .
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin is worth 180% more than exactly 1 year ago !! on: July 09, 2018, 02:41:11 PM
bitcoin is worth 180% more since 15/6/17 (last year), however all media and news portals say that bitcoin is dying, a 180% performance in just one year is extraordinary, where you will find a performance like this ? ... because the media and news portals want to see bitcoin dead? ... in my opinion bitcoin is more alive than ever, and I will continue to hold my cryptocurrencies very strong.

It is good to see a good and supportive post among all the negative ones . Its a relief that atleast someone is not panicking .
It is true that bitcoin has come a long way from what it was last year . Bitcoin was around $600-$700 last year around this time and is hitting $6670 right now . It is a huge progress and it is needed to be appreciated.
13  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: India and Bitcoins on: July 09, 2018, 02:34:22 PM
In India, Bitcoin is not a legal tender. But it is not explicitly termed as illegal. What is the reason for such a stand by Government? what are its implications?

Things are pretty complicated in India . Its not illegal but all the withdraws by the banks are stopped nby the India's main bank called RBI and all the banks under RBI . This is a major drawback among all the users back in India and there are a lot of them .
The next verdict is on JULY 20TH , but things seems out og hand for now.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Reason behind Etherium price falling on: July 09, 2018, 02:29:55 PM
Why is the price dropping so much right now?
The price usually goes with the trend, it can go down or it can go up regards of the outbreak of  news. - It usually take upto 3–5 days for bad news or good news to influence the market.

If you would do a thorough research you will discover that  the news trending  now is that  many countries are trying to regulate and embrace blockchain technology. - More and more projects are starting to get built on Ethereum because it’s the most secure and reliable to use - Venezuela issued its first oil backed cryptocurrency on Ethereum (Petro Dollar) which is a good development for etherium. Wink

This is just a set back which is temporary and it is not only happening with etherneum . The whole market is having a blood bath and the times are not that good . There is no reason to get panicked about it as all of it is gonna get okay when market starts getting a rise again.
Etherneum is one oft he strongest coin and it is going to survive.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Bitcoin Bulls are playing for keeps! on: July 09, 2018, 02:26:19 PM
These guys appear to have unlimited funding and will not surrender until a Bull run is in motion!
In my opinion they will smash the 6800-7200 levels and have no mercy with BEAR BITCHES.
These guys are in too deep to surrender.
They are true Spartans!

Well First of all lets know who they are and what do they actually want .
If they want to get bitcoin upto $7200 then i guess that will be a good time for us as well as we are waiting for that to happen . Anything that is going to pump bitcoin and is bringing it back in game is acceptable right now.
16  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018/07/05]BIS Chief to Crypto Coders: 'Stop Trying to Create Money' on: July 09, 2018, 02:22:24 PM
Obviously , This is so expected from the opposition .
This guy has been spreading the negativity and calling out for the cryptos from a  long time . Just a typical criteria of hatred towards something that is  out of their control . A ponzi , A bubble they said , I am sure they will end up using it themselves.
17  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-07-05] Bitcoin’s Next Big Battle: Restoring its Reputation on: July 06, 2018, 01:54:14 PM
There are so many reasons why bitcoin is wrongly interpreted by many people .
Firstly , the government makes it a big issue because obviously government don't see any benefit coming to themselves .
Many advertisements also makes it worse which literally scares people from investing or trading in bitcoin . The "darkweb" has further worsen its reputation . The ony solution here is an awareness.
18  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Do people have to pay taxes on Bitcoin? on: July 06, 2018, 01:51:27 PM
Tax law is dependent on your country and locality. Recently in the United States, the IRS has declared that Bitcoin is to be treated as property, not currency, for tax purposes. All income in the US is taxed, regardless of what form it takes. If you’re paid in bitcoins, you’re supposed to pay taxes on your earnings at the BTC/USD exchange rate when you receive payment.

Is it a good decision or bad?

Yes , many countries which has legalized bitcoin and other crypto currencies has also regulated it in a way of imposing a tax on the transactions just like fiat .
This is a policy that government has to follow to maintain the flow and record of the money an individual is making .
Moreover , it is just a way of acceptance by the authorities which is needed .
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: ico on: June 17, 2018, 02:03:54 PM
Do I need to search for a potential ico project to invest in?

Hi all member, hero and legendary in bitcointalk.
I'm a newbie, and i try to find how is good ICO, learn to read whitepapper, and check the roadmap. I'm not really good to know, so I wanna to ask: How to find good ICO?
