No, Bitcoin cannot replace dollars soon.
I mean That if XT kinds of hindrance will regularly come in its path and prices keep on fluctuating this much, then it will be very difficult to replace dollars which is the most widely accepted currency.

Yes I am holding my Bitcoins for price increase.
XT just sucks. I paid my Internet bills With bitcoins bit now I have to use fiat to do so because of the falling prices.

But right now we are not ready for XT, I mean that this software is made in a hurry and no one knows what Gavin is hiding behind his code. And it will also make Bitcoin centralized.
