DOTA2 lottery didnt pay off for me, so now I have to hope high scoring Stanley Cup and De Minaur to win all remaining matches.
I'm also in the same boat, the unexpected results in the Dota qualifiers almost made me lose a point.

The Stanley Cup finals match today ended with seven goals, we 9-10 backers are in trouble for the next game, it'll be a miracle if both goalies step up during the weekend and force the game to end with less than three goals.

The next turning point for me is the Le Mans and EURO question on the weekend if I fail to get anything out of those three, then i'm dropping three points this round.

and it's sad that the LGD won't be participating this year's TI when they've been participating it for more than a decade.  Undecided
The org had some financial problems and it's why their squad hasn't been producing enough good results, but still, they qualified for the other tournaments.

Earlier today, i've watched some of the CS2 matches from the Blast tournament, and it's nice to see Navi gaining form after seeing them always on and off in some of the recent tournaments they've been on. Also, their path to the finals seems the easiest as they'll be facing the winner of Astralis/Virtus.pro while Team Spirit has to face Vitality or Faze.

3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How were you able to handle a losing streak up to 5 times and above? on: Today at 01:34:17 AM
Have you had this experience before, and how were you able to manage/handle it?
My solution is the same as the others, take a break until I find a better match to bet on or force my way through the bad luck while betting smaller amounts. There are days when a regular losing streak won't be enough to stop me from betting because it still depends on how you spend your bankroll and sometimes you only need a few winning bets to bring yourself back in the same starting position. If I get the urge to go above my max bet, I always try to remind myself that it's not a race about recovering my losses and focus more on prolonging my bankroll.

The 15th also doesn't seem too bad but it's too close to the weekly bonus on Saturday so the monthly bonus will drop on the 17th. It's a shame to hear that your monthly bonus is small, while mine has increased because the activity of the last few months has been quite aggressive so it increases the chance of bigger profits . In a week it can be up to 5 days in a row, the duration is also almost 5 to 7 hours. So the estimated monthly bonus this time should be quite large, but we'll see whether it matches predictions or not.
Speaking of the monthly bonus, it's already out now on their live support page.

My bonus was reduced by half, but i'd still say it's a decent amount after lowering my gameplay these past few weeks.

5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: Today at 12:17:05 AM
As for the NA qualifiers, I picked Nouns instead of SR. Its kinda 50 50 at this point with Nouns winning the latest Riyadh qualifiers against SR so it was based on that I decided to go with Nouns. I gotta admit that the last SR vs Nouns games on the upper bracket totally shows that SR is better though atleast for now
Congrats, your prediction on Nouns paid off. I thought Shopify Rebellion already sorted out their problem, but I was wrong. They only looked worse, and that sweep in the grand final is probably a sign for their roster to change in the next season.

I feel bad for the LGD organization/team which did not qualify for The International this year.
I feel the same for Azure Ray, they had two chances to qualify and still fell short. On a positive note, we'll still see these two compete in the Riyadh Masters.

My heart wants to take the Mavs today, but the Celtics' match-winner odds are too good to be this high. Still, I don't mind if the Mavs win today since I prefer this final to go all the way.

@ralle14.. sorry mate, you loss on the 0.5
It's all good, I paid the price for being a bit greedy as I took the closing spread that was one point higher than the opening spread.  Lips sealed
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: June 12, 2024, 02:50:35 PM
Well, these two series' have been decided. G2 x IG and LGD is on the loser's bracket while Team Zero and Azure Ray on the last final match for their ticket to TI and as explained with these two latter teams, they've got better chances based on the bracketing win or lose.
The underdog train isn't stopping as Team Zero booked their ticket for TI after beating Azure Ray.

Tomorrow's lower bracket series between Team Turtle and G2.IG will be a fun one to watch, i'm hoping G2.IG pulls through since I need them or Azure Ray to make it in.  Tongue

Here's a snapshot of the current bracket. Other notable teams, LGD.Gaming, Azure Ray and G2 x IG.
It looks like G2.IG should cruise through Team Zero while the LGD vs. Azure Ray series will be tough.

I seriously cant wrap my head over the other teams aside from these 3. Personally Im more into G2.IG and LGD Gaming. G2.IG has proven that they are quite capable teams overall and LGD Gaming totally smacks AR's ass on the Riyadh qualifiers so yeah Im expecting them to do so again in TI qualifiers
I also view those teams as my top three in the same order since Azure Ray is underperforming or maybe KEV is just that good of a team.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which are you more attracted to: -10 (favorite) or +10 (underdog)? on: June 10, 2024, 04:45:21 AM
Recently i've had more success with the underdogs in the NBA, and my experience with the favorites is bittersweet now that more than half of the teams in the league are very competitive compared to the previous seasons.

Overall, there are a few factors that I have to check first before picking a side because the odds providers don't mind if they make mistakes in setting the spread, and it's easy for them to adjust the numbers as the season goes on.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Odds discussion) Would you still stick in your favorite casino if....? on: June 10, 2024, 02:35:23 AM
I'd stay with my favorite sportsbook because I bet on different kinds of markets and you'll notice how they'll compensate by juicing the other markets (spread, favorites, live betting, etc.).

Nowadays, there's more to it than simply siding on the sportsbook that offers the best odds, one thing i'd say that's underrated is the sports promotions(early payout, double payout, free bets).

Even if my favorite sportsbook doesn't have the best odds, as long as they offer the best promotions, it's enough to make me stay because it could mean avoiding several losing bets in the future.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Team strength as the main predictor. on: June 10, 2024, 01:54:50 AM
What do you think: is the strength of teams or players the main factor in the forecast or not? Is ranking the only way to determine the strength of teams?
I'd always have the team strength up there because it's like the baseline for measuring their level, and when it comes to certain sports like tennis, i'd include the playstyle of players you regularly bet on because they could struggle against opponents who specialize in other parts (serving, counter, etc.).

And if these are the main factors, then how can you predict in advance the outcome of a game in which outsiders beat experienced teams?
Aside from the other examples already mentioned, i'd include the importance of the match, and check the standings if they're in a must-win situation to secure their promotion or avoid relegation. Sometimes this factor alone can motivate most teams regardless of the big disadvantage on the road.

Actually have to be happy that such a poor performance gave me a draw.
I'm also glad our round ended in a draw because I thought I wouldn't earn a point based on your score differential.

We have a bit of EUROs, NBA and NHL playoffs, Le Mans race and some Trofo computer games again.
That's good to hear, i'm always down for more computer game questions.  Cool
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: June 10, 2024, 12:04:08 AM
I don't know if the Celtics to cover their spread remains the unpopular opinion here, but that's what I'm riding with but with a "Likkle caution", I'm going Boston Celtics -4.5 @ 1.62 Odds.
I also got the Celtics spread, even though this game points to the Mavs likely covering, I believe the Celtics can finally break the trend this time.

I've also heard the injury news about Doncic, but I doubt that'll be an advantage for the Celtics when he's always up for the task, and continuously puts up big performances.

Yes/No explanation
If a campaign has Yes/No as escrow status, it means that the person holding the funds also manages the campaign. This is a conflict of interest, but shouldn't be a big problem if the person doing escrow is trusted.

17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: June 08, 2024, 12:06:42 AM
Tatum caused the special not to hit as he only had 16 points.
My hunch was right, the Celtics are too versatile so it's hard to expect a big performance from Tatum.

I also had a bunch of bets on the French Open earlier today, and they all made it look easy by cashing my bets after the second set. Cheesy

After watching both matches, Alcaraz will probably win it all after seeing him almost go down 2-0 then turning it all around in the fifth set.

18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: June 07, 2024, 08:12:02 AM
@ralle14, you hedging as well? Grin
I've already hedged on my Dallas prediction, so i'm sitting this one out and letting it ride.  Tongue

If only the upcoming match isn't a friendly, then I wouldn't hesitate to take the BTTS no.

Still, I like my odds on Portugal BTTS since Finland got two goals in their friendly match a few days ago.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the role of home/away matches? on: June 07, 2024, 04:00:35 AM
From how I see it, these home and away matches are one of the ways to give each team the same opportunity of having an advantage which Odohu mentioned as playing at home can play a big role in most sports.

If I have to put a number, it'd be around 5% or more depending on how formidable the team can be in home games. Still, these advantages aren't always enough to overcome most of the team's problems in the other department, and it's why the best team will always rise to the top.

On the other hand, there are still a few sports where home advantage barely exists like baseball because you have different starting pitchers every day.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can someone take gambling as a source of income to he/she life? on: June 07, 2024, 01:05:04 AM
if their are people who are living in this kind of lifestyle. And what will be your opinion towards the people living in this kind of lifestyle everyday of their life's?
For those who are gambling at a professional level good on them, I have nothing but respect since it's not easy to maintain that consistency when it comes to profit. Most of us want to reach that level, but we know it's impossible because there's more to it than just betting and looking at the numbers.

Others already gave an example and i'll add another he's Tykiwanuka, i've linked his thread instead of his profile since you'll see more details about it over there.
