Left wallet open all day come back to it crash on client and errors. Wish it would be simple lol guessing it don't like Windows 8.1 x64

Are you using 1.0.7? No am using the latest updated one of the website and new links used and blockchain download deleted everything out other than my wallet.dat file and re did. Current version showing in client running at the moment is v2.0.1.0  I will try to delete everything back up wallet using prive key delete everything and import key in see if that works, as I have not tried this yet. Maybe the wallet or could be am using SSD drive and it does not like ti as I had sort of same problems with Bitcoin qt Ok, keep us posted. I've heard other weird things before about SSD's and crypto. I don't remember exactly what it was though. Ignore my banter.  What do you have in your orangecoin.conf? |

OK. Great to see new development. I too had been having the 0 coin issue.
I have my coins back, and I'm synced.

Hey all. I updated to 2.0, and I have been stuck on syncing since yesterday; 5294 blocks remaining. Do I need to do any other updates?
Still stuck. Can somebody please explain the steps I need to take to get my updated 2.0 working? Thanks Wow... even worse than before. I have 2.0 running. I redownloaded the 265k pre 2.0 bootstrap. Config is: rpcuser=username rpcpassword=password rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 daemon=1 server=1 listen=1 port=18872 rpcport=18873 addnode=orangecoinseednode1.no-ip.org addnode=orangecoinseednode2.no-ip.org addnode=orangecoinseednode3.no-ip.org addnode=orangecoinseednode4.no-ip.org addnode=orangecoinseednode5.no-ip.org addnode=75.130.163.51:18872 addnode=92.19.22.234:18872 addnode=50.188.13.41:18872 addnode=149.202.102.73:18872 and now, instead of being stuck on 5294 blocks remaining, I'm stuck on 23,298 blocks remaining... Go to https://chainz.cryptoid.info/oc/#!network. Under "Version, Protocol & Network Share", click "node list" for /OrangeCoin:2.0.0/. Copy all the nodes that are shown in the page that pops up and add these nodes to your orangecoin.conf . Close your wallet, then open it again to sync. worse yet... 23,304 remaining. Also, my OC balance is showing only around 1/10th of what it should be If you are not fully synced, you may show an incorrect balance. Still at the same place I was a few hours ago. 23,304 blocks remaining. Balance the same. WTF? I'm at 23,310 now. I'm literally going backwards |

Go to Debug from the wallet and run command.
repairwallet
I get this "wallet check passed" : true Still showing 0 OC and 0 active connections to OC network Am I supposed to have values in the conf file for username/password, or simply as is stated in the instructions 'username/password' Anything else I'm doing wrong? Edit: Redownloaded the new blockchain. Back in business! Thanks all!!! |

John, I see your instructions, but I don't know the location of my conf. file nor exactly which lines to change.
Halo, I don't know the location of my roaming folder. I'm on a Windows machine, and I saved all the wallet files to my desktop if that helps.
I definitely have time to wait to get things updated. I'm glad things are rolling again with OC! I know little to nothing about crypto, but my buddy got me in some OC, and it's pretty exciting to try to learn.
OK sorry about the delay. To locate your roaming folder, you have to click your start button and in the search bar, type %appdata% Open the roaming folder. In the roaming folder find Orangecoin folder. Open it. This is where your wallet.dat file is located and all other blockchain data and peer info. Delete all of this EXCEPT your wallet.dat. Then right click and make a new .txt named orangecoin. Make sure your file name extensions are visible, instructions for this (Windows 7) is here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hide-file-name-extensions#show-hide-file-name-extensions=windows-7. Google search for file type extensions if using other versions of windows. Open the .txt file you created and insert the following: rpcuser=username rpcpassword=password rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 daemon=1 server=1 listen=1 port=18872 rpcport=18873 addnode=orangecoinseednode1.no-ip.org addnode=orangecoinseednode2.no-ip.org addnode=orangecoinseednode3.no-ip.org addnode=orangecoinseednode4.no-ip.org addnode=orangecoinseednode5.no-ip.org Save it, close it, rename it to orangecoin.conf. Run your wallet. If you use the 217k blockchain download, delete the conf that comes with it make your own. I will have to update the download I provided with more blocks and an updated .conf. I'm not seeing the spinning wheel which used to indicate syncing.
I'm on 262,799 (and haven't a clue exactly what that means).
How do I go about updating the config file?

Sorry for my noobness. I got some OC last year and have opened my wallet on occasion to let it sync up. I saw the error message and updated my wallet.
1. My new wallet says 'out of sync', but it doesn't appear to be syncing like my old one was. Do I need to do anything to get it to sync?
2. It says I'm not minting because I don't have any mature coins. Is that normal?
3. I have a balance but no stake. Is that normal, or do I need to do something to get a stake?
