Those cards won't last long at that frequency. After a few months I've had them die at speeds above 950.
With the Sapphires by chance? I might want to lower my clock rates on my Sapphires then...

Are these new, refurbed, used? 25 BTC is a little high for the 5830 market right now. You can buy a used one for $100-110 (~21 BTC) on Ebay. I grabbed one for $92 with free shipping. I'd consider buying one off you for 20 BTC. But I don't really know how buying/selling works on the forum. Or how to avoid scamming. Do you have any references? Assuming all goes well, I'd consider buying a 2nd off you.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Good clock settings for XFX 5830, Sapphire 5830 and 5850? on: April 16, 2012, 04:46:28 AM
OP, I am running three Sapphire Xtreme 5830s on one machine at 1010/300 getting 327MH/s each.

However my XFX 5830 (on other machine) crashes every few days no matter what core/mem is set to. Haven't figured it out yet. Might just sell it, and get more Sapphires. They don't seem to crash on me.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin isn't green on: April 16, 2012, 04:40:37 AM
Bitcoin needs mining. Mining costs a whole lot of electricity. Electricity still mostly comes from fossil fuels.

Ergo, bitcoin isn't green.
I can rephrase that, and play with words all day as well:
Bitcoin needs mining. Mining costs almost no electricity. Electricity can come from microwave lasers from solar satellites orbiting our Earth.

Ergo, Bitcoin is space age and the future!

Now the facts:
Bitcoin needs mining. Mining uses electricity. Electricity comes from energy.

Ergo, bitcoin is energy.

Your logic is flawed.

Its not legal to sell ammo online in the US is it?
It is legal, but it cannot be shipping via Air. It's has to be ground only. I have bought from a few places, but http://www.sgammo.com/ seems to be the best. I bought 25 pounds of ammo, and it only cost $15 for the shipping. Not bad at all. Would be nice if they accepted Bitcoins in the future. SGAmmo and Bitcoins would be a dream come true!

Got mine today. Running it at 950/300 308MH/s. Going to push it to 1000/300 for a hopeful 325+MH/s later today. Stock voltage on everything (v1.163) with BAMT.

Not sure if should be saying this, but I am making more money using PPS then the DGS method. (I just added a couple more 5830s to my mix, so my numbers will be slightly off.)

I estimated I make about 30,000 shares in 24 hours. So that's about 0.85 BTC a day. I was only making 0.1 per block using DGS. So unless we mine 8+ blocks a day, I will be making a tiny bit more with PPS. I figure if a block takes any longer then 3-4 hours, it's not worth it. And since it's hardly under 3 hours, and most of the time over 3 hours, I can make more using PPS. Which I have.

Assuming everyone does this, I'd imagine you (Inaba) will be losing out on money rather then cutting even. Which is strange, because other pools seem to be able to pay at the same rate per share, and sometimes even more.

I'm not really sure what to make of this observation, but just something I've noticed over the past week. So unless we hit lucky streaks of less then 3 hours per block, I think users will be making more using PPS. Maybe it varies depending on what you hash rate is... I don't know... Undecided

You are paying way too much for those cables. I bought two 1x-16x cables, and got them for a lot cheaper. 30 BTC for 5 cables is retarded!

Bought one on Ebay from Hongkong for a few bucks. It took 4-6 weeks to show up though

And paid 1.25 BTC (shipping already included, firstclass) for the other cable from a user on EMC's forum.

Huh, weird. I'm glad you got your coins though.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Jered Kenna (TradeHill) ,why don't you pay back OUR money ?". on: April 10, 2012, 06:04:10 AM
So with tradehill going underwater like this and holding the remaining money, how do we know mtgox won't do the same? Not even sure who I can trust my money with anymore.
I never keep much in MtGox. I always hold my coins on me. When I am reading to sell, I sell them off in a couple waves rather then all at once so they can't freeze all of it. As soon as I make the exchange on MtGox, it's on to Dwolla in a few hours. Then right to my bank. And I never keep anymore then $300-400 in my bank. I withdraw it, and hold on to the cash myself. The less anyone else has a hold of, the less I am going to miss out on whenever someone (IRS maybe) decides they want to screw me over.

Why should I trust someone else with my money more so then myself?

Is something wrong with the PPS Beta? The pps_history page seems to have disappeared, and I got paid early instead of tonight. Should I stop testing the PPS system?

Anyone else did a green address transfer on mtgox before?
Yes, I have once before. It showed up within the day I believe.
