1  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Intel CPU 4770k on: December 02, 2015, 10:46:20 PM
Hello!

I'm selling this Intel CPU (4770k) since I upgraded my computer.

- It has never been overclocked and always used in a cool environment (I have a massive heatsink!).
- It has about 2 years (a bit less I think) and it's been used.
- I sell it with intel's stock heatsink. It also comes in intel's packaging although it's not the original packaging (it's another's cpu packaging!)

My starting price would be 160 GBP (that's around 240 USD). I'm in the UK so I'd prefer shipping within the UK (or maybe Europe).
I would like to do the transaction over paypal preferrably for your security and mine Cheesy

Any questions please feel free to ask. I know I'm new here but there is always a beggining!

Thanks!
2  Other / Off-topic / Alternative life for our FPGA hardware on: December 02, 2015, 10:39:45 PM
Hey guys!

I'm developing (well actually I already have bitstreams and client app ready) an FPGA solution for some well known bruteforcing attacks.
So far I've implemented hashing bruteforcers (md5 and sha1) but also WPA wifi bruteforce (not dictionary sorry).

I'm testing my hardware and software. I know that nowadays a big GPU such as Nvidia Titan can easily beat FPGAs on some applications, but since we already own the hardware it's just some new repurposing. Just some figures: for default passwords in wifis here in the UK, I've estimated around a week effort to crack a handshake using a couple cairnsmore1 boards (it's a pretty "small" keyspace, but still takes roughly the same time in 600$ GPUs).

Is it cool? If interested drop a message Wink

I buy FPGAs as well. But I prefer Cairnsmore1 Tongue Maybe we could swap some  Cool

Hey there!

If anybody has some FPGA mining hardware that you want to get rid off, I'm buying!
Preferably Xilinx FPGAs Tongue

Cheers!
