1  Economy / Gambling / Re: 280 BTC total bets between Micon and mrb (are BFL ASICs real?) on: June 13, 2013, 02:25:19 AM
The WSOP is an all encompassing time of ultimate busyness for poker players.  Its like trying to get the attention of a CPA the week before April 15th in the USA.

Yup. Juuuust like a CPA during Tax season.

While I still haven't received any messages from anonibet, my account has been corrected.

Heard from a few more people that anonibet messed with, including this pm from a newb who cannot post in this forum yet.

name redacted since I didn't ask for permission.

Speak up, anonibet, and explain to us why you feel like you can reverse completed bets without even telling us why.
4  Economy / Gambling / Re: gambling question - changing house edge by altering bet size? on: November 27, 2012, 03:55:54 AM
Your expected value on any/every flip is 0. No matter whether you are betting 1 or 2, the EV of each flip is exactly the same.  Thus, your long term EV is also the same.  Everything else is just noise and variance.

As long as each event is 50/50 and the amount you win is equal to the amount you can lose, the EV is 0.  You will win half your bets of 2, and lose half your bets of 2.  Same when wagering 1.  You will lose half, and win half.

Sunday, made 2 bets on the early NFL games. One of the bets was on CHI-MINN game, under 38.5.  Thanks to a scoreless last 19 minutes, the total was 38 and I get the win.

I withdrew the day's winnings late Sunday afternoon or evening, and it was approved overnight and sent.  4 hours later, according to my account history, anonibet voided the chicago-minnesota bet, and tried to confiscate the winning amount.  Well, since they had approved and shipped my withdrawal a few hours before, there was no coin in my account at the time.  I logged in this afternoon, and my account shows a negative amount.  A quick look in my account history shows what they did, but I gotta say, I was pretty pissed I didn't even get an email about this.  Clearly, I'm never going to use this account again if I'm starting with a negative balance, but to have a sportsbook cancel a bet about 12 hours + after the game was complete and the winnings payed out is bad business, and a big ass red flag.  There's no note or reason anywhere as to why they voided this bet, just a simple totals bet like they offer on every game in almost every sport.

So tell me, Anonibet, why did you do as you did?  I sent in a message through the site's Contact form, but figured I'd also let you answer in public, if you wish.  PM me with any questions if necessary, but clearly I'm never going to use this account again until this is resolved.

edit: FYI, I'm also aware of others who bet this game who had the result voided after the fact.  The one instance I'm sure of, they bet wasn't even on the totals, so same game, completely different bet.  What's wrong with this particular game that made anonibet decide to try to fuck their customers?  Had I lost, would I have been refunded 12 hours after the game ended?  I highly doubt it...
6  Economy / Gambling / Re: [RESOLVED] anonibet offers sure/impossible bets on euro cup soccer final round on: June 26, 2012, 09:59:00 PM
Dear member,

The rule for standart bet type(soccer) is

Standard Betting: In this type of betting which is expressed as 1x2, the aim is to predict the result of the match. 1 defines the Home Team, X defines Draw and 2 defines the Visitor team. For the matches played in neutral ground, the team whose name is written first is defined with 1 and the second team with 2. In this bet, only the score obtained at the end of the standard 90 minutes and injury time is considered. The results of the extra periods and/or penalty kicks played during elimination games are not taken into account. This bet shall be valid and closed only if the match is completed. For uncompleted matches, the betting amounts played in this type of betting are refunded.

Over time and penalty shootouts are not included. If there is no winner at 90min regular time+injury time, the "draw" option wins.

The odds are fixed at the bet time.

Kind Regards,
AnoniBet

thanks for the timely clarification.

EDIT: having thought about this, I'd really prefer you'd make a separate soccer bet type for games that can't end in draw. I'd like to be able to bet on the result of the game as it counts for the tournament. Score after 90 minutes should be special sub-bet at most.
Pretty standard for soccer or hockey or games like this for the bet to be decided in regular time only.  This is hardly unique to anonibet, its standard all over.
7  Economy / Goods / Re: Spend Bitcoins (worldwide) | Buy Bitcoins (worldwide) on: June 22, 2012, 02:48:47 AM
Did a BTC to Paypal transaction a few weeks ago that went exactly as advertised, and just did a BTC for Amazon yesterday, same result.

There's not a single online service I can think of that works as easily as this one does.  You enter the amount you are looking for, copy and paste a hash or 2, and maybe enter a password on your wallet, and wait a few hours.

All this with no heavy fee for the user?  Seriously, almost too good to be true, except so far, spendbtc is pretty much perfect across the board.

Whatever the highest rating I can give a site, SpendBTC gets that rating.  100%, A+, whatever you like.  Considering the services offered, the turnaround time, and the user cost (or lack of), I really can't think of another site of any kind that's as good at what it does than spendbtc.  Except maybe the google search box. That thing's pretty amazing as well.  But still, good company, no? And spendbtc ain't even mining my internet habits!

9  Economy / Services / Selling bitcoins for cash in Boston on: May 24, 2012, 04:05:26 AM
Easiest way to buy coins. We meet in Boston, you hand me cash, I send you bitcoins. Easy, peasy, japaneasy.

Price is negotiable, depending on amount of coins and the details of the meet-up.  Library, starbucks, any public place with wifi works quite well.

PM me if interested.

Would there be a free try-out, or a tour, so people can see what they are getting?

Hello, lurked a while, regged a few months ago, finally saying Hi.

Reason I came to post was because anonibet.com seems to be having an issue with their deposit page.  Was wondering if anyone else was having issues with anonibet tonight.
