Back to the question : I am aware that betfair is providing what you are looking for but I haven't tried it yet
Betfair don't accept bitcoin and their commission is high (5%) compared to Smarkets or Matchbook which are both only (2%).

If I want to bet in fiat then Smarkets is always my first choice but I'd prefer to bet in (and win in) bitcoin.

(....)
I saw the Cloudbet thread (and they do have good odds and volume) but they don't accept bettors from my country (in their terms they forbid betting from US, UK).
You can mention which country are you for so we can able to suggest the best betting website which may have no restriction from selected countries. But also be careful about some people may introduce some gambling sites which may be a fake or scam gambling platform.
UK.

Where are the best places to bet with Bitcoin with decent volume and fair odds?

I have found this one and a few other on Betmoose but that's it.

I placed my bet a while ago on Sportsbet.io. It doesn't have the Trump and Biden options, but you can bet on the party winning the presidential elections, and given that the candidates have already been chosen, it's basically the same thing IMO. Moreover, in case, say, Trump doesn't make it due to COVID-19 or something like this, the main competitors will still be those of the Democratic and the Republican Party, so this bet feels safer than the bet on names. Here are the odds:

On Sportsbet.io you can also bet on the party that will win in a particular state if you're interested.
Thanks, will check them out. Happy with party betting.

Edit: how do you find this market on sportsbet.io - I can't find any politics betting even using search.

Also do they allow betting in BTC to win BTC or is it converted into local currency?

Thank you for the suggestions  Wink

Stake looks amazing but they don't accept bettors from US, UK, France, Australia, Netherlands, Portugal, among others. So that's a no go. Because they sometimes ask for KYC I don't want to bet from a restricted territory then be asked for kyc and have funds forfeited/stolen.

I checked fairlay but there was tiny volume available, the site is horrible. I understand I could offer bets for others to take there but the site and volume in general look so dead I don't think I will.

No kyc also preferable tbh

BCX hit us out of nowhere, so we are trying hard to keep eyes on what will be the next "Big one." any and all help is appreciated. Posting in this thread certainly helps our fork-radar.

We are almost done completing a major upgrade that will allow us to add these forked coins much faster.

You're doing a great job! Thanks.

Bitcoin Atom forks tomorrow at block height 505888. There is already futures at YoBit.

I think Bitcoin Cash Plus is a Bitcoin fork, not a Bitcoin Cash fork.

How do I claim my airdropped BTX coins from my Bitcoin Segwit address? (Address beginning with a 3).

I have the private key and have downloaded the Bitcore client however when I importprivkey I get this error:
"Invalid private key encoding (code -5)"

Is it possible to claim my airdropped coins? I can see they are there by using the Bitcore explorer...

Use the special electrum claiming wallet the devs compiled.

You should try importing your private keys into this wallet. It was designed for Trezor and Ledger hardware but I think what you want to do will also work.

https://github.com/LIMXTEC/electrum-btx-claim/releases

Thank you, it worked no problems. I sent you some DGB.

Cheers

I held BTC on my Nano Ledger during the Bitcoin Diamond fork. Will your service be able to retrieve those?
Yes it successfully retrieved BCD and SBTC from my Ledger Nano S seed.

Make sure you take all funds off your Ledger Nano before exposing the seed. That includes any other currencies which your store on there.

What will you do if neither chain dies but Bitcoin Legacy ends up having a higher price and is clearly the dominant chain?

That's on 2.9.2

On 2.9.1 I had a similar error, 'signature must be zero for failed check(multi)sig operation'

Bitbet.us is back up! Woohoo!

But what happened?
17  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitbet.us down. Permanently? on: July 13, 2017, 12:16:54 PM
Hopefully they will return again... but still disappointing to see a second extended downtime. Sad
Looks like they are gone, their support profile https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=833154
is inactive since may 25 and there is no any official announcement regarding this downtime.

Last time the site was down for more than 2 weeks without word or notice. They returned then and paid out all due bets and continued to operate paying out some big bets, like the French election, in the mean time.

This time it's only been 1 week. It's possible the owner hasn't even noticed yet, he seemed an honest guy but wasn't the most active at maintaining the site.

19  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: NitrogenSports scamming users on: July 09, 2017, 03:19:22 PM
It is the first time I such rule in a sport betting website. Major bookmakers ,especially in the UK which is considered as the country with a lot of small bookies, bet365, betfair, betathome ,bwin ,eurobet, and many others , if the game do not start or is interrupted during gameplay, the bet usually is a VOID.

Anyway it looks like this is not Nitrogensports fault, they have stated it in the rules. I rarely play tennis but it is good to know the rules, as honestly I never read them there, I took them for granted to be the same as 99% of other sportsbooks.
These are the rules on retirement in Tennis at a variety of big bookies. It's actually much more split than you make it sound between voiding and settling.

1 Ball Served Bookmakers (player must serve just once for any bets to stand)
BetBright
Bwin

1 Set Completed Bookmakers (1 set must be played policy for bets to stand. If one set has not been completed all bets are void and you get your stake back)
Betdaq
Betfair
Betfred
BetOnline
Betsafe
Betsson
Coral
Ladbrokes
Matchbook
Paddy Power
Pinnacle
Smarkets
Sporting Bet
Unibet
888Sport

Whole Match Completed Bookmakers (whole match must be completed or bets are void)
10bet
188bet
Bet365
Bet-at-home
BetVictor
Boylesports
Sky Bet
Stan James
TitanBet
William Hill
Winner Sports

NitrogenSports would be in with the 1 Ball Served Bookmakers.

Will you add outright markets for:

FA Cup (Arsenal/Chelsea)
UEFA Champions League (Real Madrid/Juventus)
UEFA Europa League (Man Utd/Ajax)

I'm not interested in Match Odds, only outright winner of the trophy.

I'd create them myself, but not sure if I am allowed to create 'Sports' markets, or if it's only News markets.

Cheers,
