I just read on the Cryptocurrency Collectors Club: We [EXP] are the best Ethereum option out there besides Ethereum, we are the first surviving fork of Ethereum, we excluded the difficulty bomb and elements that have caused others problems. Interesting...

With the recently issued bond system already out, the switch to from PoW to PoS, the upcoming DAO release (Q2/2017), *and* the reduction of coin supply (due to bonds), it seems like a perfect storm for explosive growth. (source: Expanse slack)
Looking at the chart, it appears to have bottomed out a few months ago and is on a growth trajectory.

It appears the bond system will be known as the "EBS" (Expanse Bond System).
Besides using coins for currency (BTC, XMR, ETH, ETC) and now the EBS being a way to generate revenue, Are there any other coins with functionality that makes them valuable today? If so, which ones? It seems the vast majority are purely speculative.

also, according to their slack (counterparty.slack.com) they are working on assets for Spells of Genesis. We've seen gaming alts soar as of late (GAME, BCY).

I've been watching Counterparty (XCP) ever since this post and have seen it rise the last 3 days. They are having a meeting to discuss the EVM integration tomorrow, all are invited via Slack (counterparty.slack.com). I would assume the rise in price is related but not completely sure.

Any news on XCP? It's up 30% at the moment, close to its 24 hour high.

XCP-based stake voting is another safeguard feature – holders of a certain (yet-to-be-decided) percentage of XCP (Counterparty’s native currency unit) may vote to initiate a protocol-sourced rapid shutdown of the EVM subsystem, without affecting the routine workings of the Counterparty network itself. Anyone know yet what % one must hold in order to vote?

very little volume moves this one quite a bit both up and down. it will be interesting to keep an eye on it over the next few weeks as more news should affect the price, as previously mentioned.
