1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Gridseed Problems (Dualminer 5 chip) on: August 31, 2015, 08:57:15 AM
Hi all,

So this is my first post here- I've looked around the internet for answers but I can't solve this problem for the life of me, and its been 15 frustrating hours.

I have 10 gridseed dualminers that I'm attempting to run through an old Acer laptop. I have attempted to get them to work on four different platforms- most recently the cgminer version 3.7.2 (modified to work with scrypt and gridseed). I've changed the USB ports w/ zadig, and all of my gridseeds seem to be recognized by the comp as Virtual COM ports.

At this point my batch file looks like this:

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://gridseed.give-me-coins.com:4256 -u etc.1 -p x --gridseed-options=baud=115200,freq=750,chips=5,modules=1,usefifo=0 --hotplug=2

and every time I run cgminer, I get this:

[2015-08-31 03:45:00] Started cgminer 3.7.2
[2015-08-31 03:45:01] No devices detected!
[2015-08-31 03:45:01] Waiting for USB hotplug devices or press q to quit
[2015-08-31 03:45:01] Need to specify at least one pool server.
Input server details.
URL:

If I input the url, username, and pass again, cgminer just shuts down. I've tried everything I can think of to try and change this but I can't figure it out-- any advice that you could offer would be of the greatest help...
