Could really use help with 476500042a526cde798ff87dd22eeb8342a509316191471a17435b72dfde5d6c

First time using coinb.in and couldn't figure out how many bytes the transaction was so my fee of 0.0003 BTC (116 say/byte) is low.  Been a week now.  Getting a little scared.
3  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Can I do offline signing with both armory installations not having to... on: May 09, 2017, 08:58:12 PM
Well, it could find the transaction details from an online source but I guess that feature hasn't been added.  Looking into bither on android to see if I make any progress there.  Thanks.
4  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Can I do offline signing with both armory installations not having to... on: May 09, 2017, 08:54:10 PM
Ok.  So I can't do what I want - I have to download the entire blockchain on the online computer.
5  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Can I do offline signing with both armory installations not having to... on: May 09, 2017, 08:48:54 PM
Thanks.  That part I get but it seems that installing armory installs bitcoind which automatically starts downloading the blockchain.  I'd like it not to do that on either computer.
6  Bitcoin / Armory / Can I do offline signing with both armory installations not having to... on: May 09, 2017, 08:40:45 PM
...to download the blockchain?

I just want to make a quick transaction, sign it, then broadcast it.  I don't want to download the blockchain to do this.  Is this possible?

Thanks!
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Can't get bitcoind to bind to default port on ubuntu livecd on: April 07, 2017, 04:00:44 PM
I'm trying to get bicoind running after I boot ubuntu 16.04 off a live cd.  The debug log says it failed to bind rpc to port 8332 of 127.0.0.1.  netstat shows that port is unused.  I tried as root and as user.  The loopback is up and pingable.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Awesome app.  Just wanted to bump the bip38 import feature.  I know it will be slow but it wont be done often..

Thanks again for this amazing program!
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Anyone know how to bip38 encrypt an already-generated private key? on: November 21, 2013, 12:20:57 AM
For fun, I took the different BIP38 address generated by bit2factor.org and ran it through the details tab of bitaddress.org.  Sure enough, I get the same compressed (but unencrypted) private key that I started with.

So, I guess the system works but I just don't know how a private key can have more than one BIP38 address.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Anyone know how to bip38 encrypt an already-generated private key? on: November 20, 2013, 11:57:17 PM
Neat.  Haven't encountered that page before.  To test it, I just did the following:

1.  I made a BIP38 address in bitaddress.org with the passphrase "tucker" (no quotes).  I got this: 6PfRsAUt4GoxgvLpfMAuPZnxK452gvdmbY2KcfBHFFJCQJKgGPZ9pSpdZH, with (apparently uncompressed) bitcoin address 1DoH8sE1twMQybnoFWpw7PZnJjNCuiDrfF

2.  I took that encrypted address to the details tab of that same webpage and entered "tucker" to get the decrypted private key of: L2xcepU1mUtYkbZeihcw1znmajibjgf6koG8szWQM4cpWGAjoqVb and a compressed addressed of 1CMwWVSH1fkifpbrkknYW1NCpk3pkD99fs (the uncompressed address given here matched what was shown in step 1 as expected)

3.  I took the decrypted private key over to bit2factor.org and asked it to encrypt it with the passphrase "tucker".  I got the same compressed bitcoin address of 1CMwWVSH1fkifpbrkknYW1NCpk3pkD99fs but the bip38 private key is shown as 6PYWAF9qqjk6ytZFbepaSDDk9oGb5gBwwgUP8cnaCgUa7LR4T6SJX9pLCQ.

Does anyone know why I didn't get the same bip38 key from bit2factor that I got from bitaddress.org?

All the tools I see out there are for new keys and I'd like to avoid the trouble of sweeping the coins from my existing address to a new one.
12  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Blockchain.info can crashes when scanning QR codes on: November 08, 2013, 07:45:49 PM
Using cyanogenmod 10.2 nightlies on ATT S3.

I'm able to use the other popular bitcoin app to scan qr codes but I'd like this app to work since it's linked to my online account and it encrypts the wallet requiring a pin to do anything.

I see lots of other comments in the google app listing for it saying others have the same problem.  Not only does it crash the app but I can't use the camera at all anymore until I reboot.

Anyone know if this is being worked on or should I just give up and move on?
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How does the bitcoin client verify that an address has enough coins... on: June 26, 2013, 03:03:33 AM
That I get but I'm wondering about the UXTO list.  Is that created by the client after analyzing the block chain it downloads?  Does it keep the entire UXTO list (for the whole world) in a separate database or does it just keep transactions that relate to addresses in your wallet?
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How does the bitcoin client verify that an address has enough coins... on: June 26, 2013, 01:30:27 AM
Thank you for the reply.  Just fascinating.

So when I'm running bitcoin-qt, not only do I have the blockchain downloaded to my harddrive,  I also have the entire UXTO list (not just the UXTO that relate to me).  I guess it builds that list itself as it downloads the blockchain initially?

...for the transaction it is a part of (assuming it is the input)?

Does it have to look through the entire block chain to find every instance of that address and see what has been sent to it and what has been taken out of it?  If so, man is that going to get processor intensive in the future?  It can't be the case but I can't find out how this is accomplished anywhere.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Which address will my bitcoind client pay 50BTC to if it happens to win? on: March 12, 2011, 04:24:28 PM
The received address is 1Ngza4VjJ38w8f1GWdK36rk7AdpNSBTJ78

"getinfo" now shows a 0.10 balance.

"listreceivedbyaddress 0 true" shows 0.16 for the above address.  I'll try sending from that address in a bit.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Which address will my bitcoind client pay 50BTC to if it happens to win? on: March 11, 2011, 09:09:30 PM
But I didn't send anything.  I received something so that the account has a balance now of 0.13 yet getinfo says I have a balance of 0.07.  Where did 0.07 come from?  Should getinfo return the sum of all balances of all accounts?  If so, it should say 0.13 shouldn't it?
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Which address will my bitcoind client pay 50BTC to if it happens to win? on: March 11, 2011, 07:22:10 PM
What's odd is that I have the four accounts I mentioned and all but one of them have a zero balance.  The one that does have a balance shows an amount of 0.130000.

When I do a getinfo command, I only show a balance of 0.070000.

Why would this be?
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Changes to the Bitcoin Faucet... on: March 10, 2011, 04:36:01 AM
The faucet certainly got me interested.  In fact, I'm ashamed to admit it but I withdrew from another ip address twice.  Total of 0.15 taken.  I'll go donate 1BTC to clear my conscious.  Sorry about that.  If I ever get a block with my 20Mh/sec miner, I'll donate another 5BTC.  Thanks for the very cool website.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Which address will my bitcoind client pay 50BTC to if it happens to win? on: March 10, 2011, 04:31:19 AM
If I type this command into the bitcoind program in linux:

Code:
./bitcoind listreceivedbyaddress 0 true

...I'm shown four addresses.  Three are called "Your Address" and one is "".  I'm not sure where they all came from and see no way to delete three of them to clean things up a bit.  I also don't see any way of marking one of them the primary account that will receive generated bitcoins.

Anyone know what's up?
